ZeBand Zeblaze App - Android Apps and Games

Some very creative developers they created a more useful application for tracking devices like Zeband which offer an awful application. :highfive::highfive::highfive:
If you are a developer feel free to help them.
If you are a user, try and feedback to their application!
Features include:
Set time
Receive notification
Silence notification

This topic was created for people that own a smartband like Pebble, Pebble 2, Mi Band, Vibratissimo, HPlus Devices (e.g. ZeBand) etc.
The app is not under my development, I am just here to push their excellent work!!!

It's true the HPlus Watch app is awful, but the main feature of this Zeband is swimming mode and so far this is not supported by any app including GadgeBridge.
P.S. never got why Xiaomi doesn't care about swimming

Sorry for replying so late.
As far as I can understand, the swimming feature is something that is not saved in the device. However, If you want to try exploring the device, you can get the source code and try to find the correct settings. Maybe you are lucky enough and find the setting easy. Reading their code is quite easy.

[APP][FREE] Annoyolator - Please review

Hi, I am an amateur android developer. I have a few apps on the google play market, and one has made it to over 10,000 doownloads. I recently created this new app call the Annoyolator. It is based on the same idea of the Annoy-O-Tron device from thinkgeek. I have a randomizing algorithm programmed to pick a random beep at a random time interval. The app will run in the background while you do other tasks, or it will run with the screen off so you can hide it. The goal is for the beep to be random enough that it is hard for your friends to locate the source.
I really just need some people to try it out. I have spent countless hours developing this and I would love to have feedback. I want negative and positive. Im always open to suggestions, even if you just think I could do a UI improvement. However, if you feel negatively about the app, please post it here and give me an opportunity to fix it before giving it a bad review on the market. I have only tested this app on the emulator, so I am excited to hear the results. Here is a link to the app, thanks for the help.......Annoyolator

[APP][2.3+] Memotion - Emotion Analysis

Introduction
Memotion is a voice journal/diary application that uses the technology of Beyond Verbal Communications (BVC) to emotionally analyse the speaker.
As well as analysing your diary entries, there is also a 'Quick Analysis' feature, so you can capture the innermost thoughts and underlying emotions of what anyone is truly feeling when they are speaking......
This application was created firstly to showcase the technologies of BVC, so a little about them:
Beyond Verbal
The Emotions Analytics world leader. Its patented technology enables machines to understand the dimension of human emotions from their raw voices in real-time as they speak. Following 18 years of research into the mechanisms of the human intonation the company has developed a technology that extracts an individual's full set of emotions and character traits, using their raw vocal modulations.
Beyond Verbal's software was founded on 18 years of research by physicists and neuropsychologists, who studied more than 70,000 test subjects in 33 languages. The ability to extract, decode, and measure human moods, attitudes and decision-making characteristics, introduces a whole new dimension of emotional understanding, called Emotions Analytics™.
Led by a veteran management team of industry professionals, the company's goal is to leverage its unique abilities to impact a new multi-billion market of emotionally-enhanced applications installed in practically any voice enabled, voice activated, or voice controlled device.
What else does it do?
Memotion captures the inspiration for your journal entries by embedding related content directly into the audio file. This way, there is no danger of it becoming lost or fragmented over time, with database entries and text documents becoming deleted with a change of storage or a device wipe etc etc.
Memotion uses the FLAC audio codec container to embed the following:
Images
News
Emotions
Weather
Location
Web links
Transcript
Today in History
Friends
^ There's more to come in future releases...
I hope in this way, the application will beautifully visualise a moment in time and all that was related to it.
** Disclaimer - At the moment it does not do it beautifully! It's just there.... But it will do soon :victory:
If you're a user of utter! then Memotion will share your emotion analysis and it will become the first 'Virtual Assistant' to have an understanding of its user's emotional psyche - A context that is more useful to the imagination, rather than direct implementation as of right now!

I think this is exact reason why not ever give ETAs. Very soon means in my mind today, and very very soon means in next 3 hours. But still no link...
Anyway no rush man, just do your magic that need to be done. I see it does not work on non English langueges (yet), will it work for a English speaking foreigner? I mean accent and this stuff might be a obstacle?

I really hoped it would be moments, but unfortunately the privacy policy needs adjusting - Might still be a few days.
The analysis is language agnostic, so it will work for any language. However, the analysis descriptions (and app content) is currently only in English. Hopefully with some user help, we can update this soon.

[APP][4.0+] SwiP - Switch profiles intelligently 0.2.7 [Beta]

Hello there guys!
After some hard work we've finally reached a state where we'd really appreciate some reviews, publicity and feedback for our project.
Most of all some feedback would be nice as we don't actually have a wide range of devices to test on.
Basically what we wanted to do is to implement an open source alternative to Llama, Trigger and all the other profile/automation apps.
Of course we aren't nearly as advanced as they are at the moment.. but let's see where we are going to get with the help of you guys.
Here's the full description of what's possible right now:
SwiP - Switch profiles intelligently
SwiP is an intelligent profile app for Android.
It's meant to be an open source alternative to well-known apps like LLama and Trigger (though in a much smaller scale at the moment), which still offers some unique features.
PROFILES
SwiP allows you to create, manage and apply profiles which can contain the following settings:
Sound:
- Ringer Mode
- Ringtone- & Notification Volume
- Media Volume
- Alarm Volume
Connectivity:
- GPS
- Mobile Data
- WiFi
- Bluetooth
Display:
- Automatic Brightness
- Brightness
- Display Time Out
There are also some features which are unfortunately only available for rooted phones like NFC, Airplane Mode and Lockscreen.
TRIGGERS
Furthermore the app offers trigger-management. A trigger basically defines a rule for the automatic application of selected profiles.
The user is able to create said triggers and to use them for his daily workflow.
A trigger can contain the following rules:
- Location (Geofence)
- Time (Exact time or time range)
- Battery State
- Battery Level (Exact level or level range)
- Headphone State
These rules can be freely combined (e.g. at a certain location AND a certain time).

So if you've got an Android 4.X device and want to give it a try, please go ahead!
There are already some known issues we are working on, like:
- GPS only working on AOSP roms or when installed as system app (still searching for a way to find out which rom is running)
- Lockscreen only working on some devices, on other devices it simply accepts every PIN/Pattern (here some feedback would be really nice!)
- Priority not implemented the best way possible.. just didn't find the time yet to implement a drag&drop list
- User interface is not as intuitive as we'd liked it to be. There will be a tutorial some time..
If you find any bugs, please don't hesitate to report them here: https://bitbucket.org/fschrofner/swip/issues
Also feel free to send us pull requests, we'd love to get other developers involved.

great work dude
This looks great, really looking forward to seeing where you can take this! Been wanting to see some decent competition for llama (despite how much I love it).
The only thing stopping me from testing this as a daily driver is the fact that it doesn't do location by cell tower. I typically keep my GPS off, and llama profiles are changed based on cell location.
Love the interface though, good luck with it!
Thanks for the feedback!
At the moment we are using the Google Location API for geofencing, which should automatically use the most accurate method available (but still conserve power).
The order should be like this: GPS, WiFi, Cell (while GPS only gets activated if a more exact location is really required)
KitKat should work especially well with this method as it always uses WiFi to gain a more exact location (even when it's disabled).
Basically it should do just fine without GPS or WiFi, if the radius of the geofence is big enough (i've set it to 2000m and it seems to work).
Is that size acceptable for you? You could try to start up the application when you are at the desired location (GPS and WiFi disabled) and set the geofence to something slightly bigger than your expected location (should be marked as a blue circle on the map. it needs to be completely in your geofence!)
If some more people prefer the self-implemented cell tower method, we are surely going to look into it!
Keep the feedback coming!
Since you've open-sourced the app, why don't you upload it to f-droid.org?
It's an alternative app store for FOSS apps only. I use it exclusively as an alternative to Google Play as I don't use a ROM with Gapps.
Great work so far!
Got some suggestions:
- Use bluetooth connections as trigger
- Start apps in certain profiles (i.e. maps when connected to car bluetooth)
- Unlink call- and notification volume (I want to be able to hear calls at night (emergencies), but messages I do not need to hear)
NFC support! Cool! I'm going to try this now and report my findings.

How about other languages? Any plans for that?
great work
Would it be possible to do this in 4.4 roms, open google apps and it automaticcalt triggers location toggle? Only problem is dialogue box popping asking for confirmation
Nice.
Would be better if it could switch off and reboot phone automatically.
Hello,
I'm glad to see an open-source application to do some automation. I'm also especially happy to see that this application is not requiring any google dependancies vs Tasker/LLama.
It has succesfully been installed on an AOSP without any Gapps.
It would be great if you application was submitted on FDroid and would gain visibility toward open source user.
Thank you for your work.
Prysme.
So Nice!
Thanks for this app... it is indeed very useful.
Just one thing, could it be possible to have the screen lock set to none instead of it set to slide?
looks promising, good work:good:
Nice app
Ty
Thanks for the app, will try it for a few days replacing Trigger.
One thing I noticed while playing with it for a few minutes: I added a trigger and set a marker in the location option, but the preference summary still says "ignored" under location. The app seems to be working fine based on that location though.
Also I think it would be nice if we can have a negation trigger, like "when not at this location".
Thanks!

"Mother tongue" is a valid English expression. In English, saying that a language is a person's "mother tongue" is a perfectly correct way to express that the person is a native speaker of that language.

[APP][4.0+] "CMX" Crowd.mx -- chat and leave notes where you are... anonymously!

[APP][4.0+] "CMX" Crowd.mx -- chat and leave notes where you are... anonymously!
Hello XDA!
I'd like to present crowd.mx or CMX as we've started calling it. It's a location based anonymous chat / note dropping app. We've been working on it for some time and we think it's really cool and would like to share it with the community here at XDA.
CMX has 3 simple functions one on each tab:
[Tab 1] CMX connects you in a chat room with the nearest CMX users. We literally mean nearest. If it's late at night and nobody is on, it will get people from all over the world for you to chat with. If you're at a concert with a lot of users nearby or on at a busy time, you will only see chat that's happening nearby. You have your own personal 'chat sphere' that re-sizes itself for you to have people to talk with. That way, there will always be someone on for you to chat with. If you want to talk more privately, like most chat apps, you can select users and send them private messages.
We think Tab 1 is really frickin cool.
[Tab 2] If you like Tab 1, this tab is even cooler. Here you can leave public notes at different locations. The notes persist at that spot and can be seen in a 100m radius around where you dropped it. You can have a group meet you on top of Mt. Everest and have a private conversation there. You can leave a suggestion at a restaurant *in* the restaurant for people who eat there later. You could announce to your neighbors that you have a BBQ coming up. You don't just have to leave public notes, we even allow you to leave hidden notes which are only visible to the user you selected... even if that user is yourself. You could drop a note with your locker number over your locker or leave love notes for your wife. There are a lot of crazy interesting things you can do with this. Like many social apps, this aspect of our app really needs lots of users to be cool. That's why we made Tab 1... to keep you entertained in the mean time!
[Tab 3] This tab has two purposes. It mainly functions to let you control where you are. So if there's a major event going on somewhere in the world, you can go there and chat directly with the people there.
This tab also serves as a place where you can 'make an announcement.' Announcements are a premium service that you have to pay for. They're kinda like the big-brother to the notes in Tab 2. You can choose what radius you want them to be seen within and they will re-broadcast themselves to people chatting in the area.
Finally,
We've worked really hard to make this service as anonymous as we can. There's no login. No usernames. No facebook. No anything. You can get on and start chatting/dropping notes right away.
We welcome you to come join us in the chat, drop silly notes around town, and give us feedback so we can keep working to make this app cooler and more fun for everyone.
Where do I get the APP?

====================================================================================
More Questions for the curious:
Q: Who made the app?
A: Myself and a friend, both of us recent physics phds... novice app developers!
Q: Where did the app come from?
A: A few years ago, we had a vision for a news app that would let the people report the news around them. While finishing our degrees, we worked on the infrastructure for the app in our spare time. Along the way, we came up with some pretty cool algorithms for indexing information by geography and other stuff. After we graduated, we set out to make that news app, but it was too big! So we looked at all the cool stuff we made for the backend and decided use it in a social app instead. So here's that app! We hope it's the first of many apps.
Q: What do you mean by anonymous?
A: Well, we really mean that we're committed to trying not to save or collect info from you. BUT, we have also taken extra measures to encrypt transmissions, encrypt data in the database, and discard information as soon as we don't need it. We'll continually work to improve on these as we get more experience. If CMX sees any success, we hope to hire experts far more proficient than us! If you're interested in more information about our security measures, we invite you to read our technical description on our message board. You can find the link in the playstore or in the app.
Q: Can I post anything?
A: Well, our hosting service does not allow porn. So you can 'report' people who have posted porn. And we can ban people who have posted porn. Also, we have protections in place to protect us from bot-spam.
Q: How can you ban someone for posting porn, if you don't track them?!
A: It's complicated. You should probably read the technical description mentioned in the anonymous section.
Q: How long will the app be in Beta?
A: Uhh, tough question!
Q: Why does it not show all the chat from when I was last on?
A: The messages sent to the Chat tab are *NOT* stored on our servers. They are redirected to the clients within range. So if your client loses its connection to our servers, you will not receive those chats. If your phone gets low on resources, it may close the service. We chose to do this to further protect people's identity.
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it.
-Foolish John

Seriously... *hint* *hint!*
Seriously - we get a lot of people saying they love the idea but they just wish more people were on.
If you really think the idea is cool, keep the app open and check in on it and join the chat every once in a while. It'll naturally get more busy as people do that.
And it won't be too long before there are enough people to start enjoying some of the cooler aspects of it.

[APP][Thesis][2.2+]Creativity Study - Participants needed!

Hey there,
I'm currently writing my thesis on "connection between context and creativity of persons" and made a simple note taking app for this. Every time you work on an idea (e.g. "How to get my cat to like me more") several contexts are collected (location and date) which will be send to a server for later analysis.
The long goal will be an app that supports you in your creativity and will notify you when you are in a similar creative context.
More info and the APK can be found here: http://apptest.willey.de
Thanks for your help!

Yes that sounds weird
Imagine a student who works on a project with some fellow students. And they are in the "Idea Phase" where everyone should collect some Ideas which will be discussed in the next group meeting. Everyone knows how this works. One hour before the next meeting we write down some ****ty ideas and that's it.
What could you do about this?
Set some fixed reminders like "Every Day at 8:00 pm, COLLECT IDEAS FOR PROJECT!!"
So every day at 8:00 pm you get a reminder no matter what your actual context is. If you don't feel like thinking about the project you dismiss the reminder and that's it
The goal of this app would be that it waits until you are in a similar situation (f.e. in a cafe, in a park, at home, in the evening, in the morning, on mondays, ...) and then suggests "Hey wanna think about your project?"
I hope I could make it a little bit clearer, english is not my native language
Your English is fine, in fact, while not prefect, better than quite a few native tongue, or fingers if you will.
So based on a calendar or location you can set reminders? Does it, or can it, tie into Google products such as: Now, Calendar or Keep?
Unfortunately ATM the app is purely for evaluation purposes to see if there are any patterns in usage or if creativity occurs just randomly. Developing a full App would be the next step if any patterns are found. Without patterns the "intelligent notifications" wouldn't make any sense I think
This almost sounds like the chicken and the egg argument. You need to find patterns before intelligent notifications, but without knowing when to prompt, how are patterns determined?
A typical note taking app like Keep, tied into a time keeper like calendar with the geolocation ability of Now would partially answer your issue. "Ok Google. Remind me to enter project ideas in Keep everyday when I get to work." Not sure Google now is quite there yet on its own, but there are things like AutoVoice with Tasker that would do those types of things now.

As for when creativity happens, it will probably be determined to be individualistic. Some will display randomly, some during sleep and wake up to record. Others may only be prompted by environment as opposed to scheduling like work (think song writers or authors).

The problem with "traditional" Solutions like Tasker/AutoVoice would be that you enter those notifications yourself. So you set notifications when you plan to be creative. My idea is to look at your past, find "creative highs" and notify you when you are in a similar situation.
Examples would be
--> Person X tends to work on his idea on mondays and fridays in the afternoon when he is at location X but never after 9:00pm.
--> Person Y worked on his ideas in a park nearby when the sun was shining
--> Person Z tends to work in cafes in the morning
...
To find these patterns (if there are any), is the first step. The next step would be to implement the intelligent notifications based on the users past behavior.
--> Welcome home, time to think about your Idea "Solve world hunger"
--> Hey look at the beautiful weather. Time to go outside and think about your "Cat Problem" ?
--> There are 5 Cafes nearby, time to think about "how to take over the world"?
So the agenda looks like this
Track users creativity to see if there are any patterns
Create notifications based on this
???
Profit

To find these patterns (if there are any), is the first step. The next step would be to implement the intelligent notifications based on the users past behavior.
--> Welcome home, time to think about your Idea "Solve world hunger"
--> Hey look at the beautiful weather. Time to go outside and think about your "Cat Problem" ?
--> There are 5 Cafes nearby, time to think about "how to take over the world"?
So the agenda looks like this
Track users creativity to see if there are any patterns
Create notifications based on this
???

Tasker can be utilized and is utilized exactly as you have described. There are "assistant" apps/tasks that allow events to be kicked off automagically based on environment: location, light sensor, what WiFi you're connected to, time of day or day of week, etc.
I can have a task set that will turn on my WiFi when I get to work if it is Monday-Friday before 5p. It can also make sure to turn off my Bluetooth and kick off my time recording app. When i arrive home, a textthingsred off to my wife letting her know I'm home so she can add to my honey do list. These tasks run apps, turn things off and on all based on location and calendar.
I'm not trying to make a case for utilizing tasker and other apps to do what you're trying to do. Getting all of that stuff configured is not the easiest thing to do. Just mentioning it is possible and being done.
Now if you can have your app recognize patterns and trends in how people think (their creativeness), you're onto something beyond this university assignment.

I know Tasker but I think it is horribly complex and still you have to program it yourself when to notify you or do certain actions. For someone who is brainstorming on a project and just wants to be reminded from time to time Tasker might be overkill.
I don't want to analyze the users behaviour or analyze how people think. In the best case no data will leave the device because everything could be done locally (Get current locations type via Openstreetmaps, search similar locations, search current weather conditions, ...). For my thesis I just want to see if there are simple but interesting regularities like 90% of my users used the app in the morning, they rarely switched locations when brainstorming, .... Or in the worst case no patterns at all.

Something to think about, the 90% of the users that you talk about may only "be creative" in one or very similar ways and may not give you an adequate picture of the data you're trying to acquire.
Your app may only appeal to one segment of the creative audience.
It's already been shown that people learn in three different ways and many of those often blend two of the designations. Seeing, hearing and doing. Being creative isn't going to be any different, just look at the examples I've started before.
You're going to have to design your app with multiple interfaces that will appeal to different audiences. A robotics engineer, oil painter, song writer, dancer, marketing executive aren't going to think and record notes intuitively the same way.
