Hi everyone!
I just got my Nougat 7.0 update a week ago in Hungary.
I would like to know, is there any method to root the device WITHOUT UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER?
I read that is possible like this way: run fastboot boot recovery.img and flash the superuser zip there
Is this ok to root my A9?
Thank you the answers in advance.
No the method you outlined has long been disabled

You will most likely lose root and TWRP, but your bootloader should remain unlocked.
thanks guys, last question there is some risk to unlock the bootloader ?

If you're worried about bricking the device, the risk is very low. All you are doing is simply typing "fastboot oem unlock". It isnt meant to be anything dangerous or risky.
In terms of security however, there are some risks. If your bootloader is unlocked, a thief can easily flash a recovery and pull your potentially important and private information/data. Although the likelihood of the thief knowing how to do this is very low.
Sir will this guide also work for Oneplusone on cm13-Incremental-OTA-Official?
searching everywhere but couldn't find any guide to unlock bootloader on official Cos13.If anybody has successfully unlocked his bootloader on official cm13 then kindly guide the same to me.
Thank You.

Hey guys,
Got a Z3 with locked BL, decided recently I wanted to root the phone so followed the downgrade method, installed TWRP, installed 6.0.1 using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/stock-marshmallow-6-0-1-build-23-5-0-t3357509
That should have rooted the device and installed MM. MM seems to work ok but ES file explorer says there is no root. Also my TWRP recovery isn't working due to this problem (probably): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66232031&postcount=328
I'm a bit new to this but I can't seem to fix the TWRP problem without root access and I can't get root access without a custom recovery? I have Flashtool and tried to follow this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66232031&postcount=328
But I'm not sure how I'm meant to flash the required zips. Any help would be much appreciated, step by step would be a bonus xoxo

Flashed recroot before reboot?
Take a look here

Thanks, presuming I'd need to downgrade and root again. Trying to avoid that if possible...

1) Will I be able to update through firmware finder?
2) will I have to re-root again after each firmware update?

1. Yes, but only authorized by Huawei
2. Yes.
Will an official update really work on a rooted unlocked phone?

He probably just wanted a reconfirmation that it really works. I'm wondering the same Btw, because rooting for me normally means also to have a modified system folder by busybox or AdAway and all my previous phones did not allow to simply use an OTA file.
Would you be so kind and elaborate more? Thanks a lot!

Every time when update is coming you have to flash stock boot and recovery (current version).
Because, rooting process changed boot. And to get root you installed TWRP (custom recovery) before.
You don't need relock bootloader only, cause update will do it self (in most cases).
Finally, you have to unlock bootloader and get root again.
Hi to all.
A friend of mine has samsung s6 sm-g920f currently running 6.01 (mmb29k.g920fxxs5dqc1) and wants to root his phone. Since I do not own this phone, I would be glad if someone could help me, with the steps required (for unlocking bootloader, flash twrp and SuperSu), so I could use search more efficiently.
Thanks in advance!

I did check this thread, but I am a bit confused of the prerequisites....
I have only phones, with standard procedure : unlock bootloader, flash TWRP. flash SuperSU ...
Sm g920f has an unlocked bootloader so don't worry about that part.
