Debloat Samsung S6 SM-920i on 6.0.1 Marshmallow without Root - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Samsung stock is having lots of useless apps which consumes whole ram! I dont want to root my device as it trips Knox. Any method to debloat or atleast disable apps without root?

Yes, Package Disabler pro, it can at some point disable apps, But nothing is compared to Titanium's uninstall

Disable Knox

Not rooted
Package Disabler Pro installed
I have frozen many Samsung apps: how do I know if Knox is still ? Is yes, how do I stop all its services from running?

Debloater is only finding two services to disable in Nougat.

Decided to run Debloater after upgrading to Nougat last night. Surprised to see that it only finds two packages to hide.
BeamService.apk
Velvet.apk
Any thoughts about this. I know there are other Samsung specific disabling apps but i also have liked Debloater. As far as i can tell, theres no update for the program.
I recall reading a post (I can't find the link, it was when I was looking up how to use GatesJunior debloater on the Nougat beta) that mentioned that a certain aspect of ADB that this debloater utilized was locked/removed (I'm fairly positive the wording I'm using is wrong). That being the case, the debloater no longer works with Nougat.
I'd recommend using the Package Disabler. I have the premium version and it still works just fine.
Debloat manually using ADB:
Code:
adb shell
pm hide com.package.name
pm hide com.package.name2
...

Yeah, quite a few people have suggested that Samsung just killed ALL those Package Disabler apps by updating something in their KNOX Security Suite (those apps used a hole in the KNOX suite to work.) Apparently incensed Note7 users who desperately cling onto the devices disabled the Samsung software bits through Package Disablers and Debloater, and disabling the software bits that forced that 60% battery charge limit and showed the recall warning.
Here are some threads of folks using Package Disabler Pro to disable that charging limit...

There's a new tool that exploits Android's built-in work mode to clone and then freeze apps without root. Beware, it is highly experimental. Enjoy!

Rooted Nougat, can no longer disable any system apps

So I rooted Nougat, 930U variant (Snapdragon), and now I can't disable any system apps. BK Disabler, Titanium Backup, 3C Toolbox, App Quarantine -- I tried them all , and none of them will disable anything. What am I doing wrong? I confirmed root is good and those apps a granted access through SU...

Yep I tried that one too, and App Quarantine. They don't successfully disable anything. And turns out I can't get BusyBox installed either. I don't know what's going on LOL
Update: re-rooted and fixed it. I was using an older version of the root.bat.
Good stuff :good:

Could you help me with a question about ROM?

Hello!
I have a question about ROM, is there any that is without the unnecessary applications of Samsung, Google etc, example: Samsung Members, Samsung Connect, VR Gear, Samsung Health etc, a clean but non-root rom, why use bank applications and cards.
Sorry for the question, I always used cell phones with root, but I did not use banking applications. Is there a solution?
The touchwiz based ROMs like SuperMan let you choose what Samsung apps and Google apps to install during the flash process, so you can just untick the ones you don't want. There's also a debloat script floating around somewhere which removes unnecessary apps.
You can also use root, and a ROM with Magisk which hides root and passes safetynet so long as you don't use Xposed. That'll let you use bank apps.

Thanks for the answer, I was an old user of my old and good Xperia Z2, rooted but now with the S7 I'm lost, I just wanted to have a way to not have unnecessary applications.
I'm finally not needing something that needs root, just like it used to.

How to remove/disable a system app without root?

I have samsung m21 not rooted. I tried to remove and disable Samsung Game Optimizing Service via ADB, it saying success when i entered the remove command, but in phone it doesn't removed. Also i try disabling via ADB too, it also giving another success message but app not disabled in phone. I tried to remove an random app downloaded from gplay store, and it removed perfectly (btw i removed some system apps in same phone via adb before). I searched this issue and i saw some people have same problem. I tried to disable that app from Package disabler pro (samsung) and CCSWE app manager (samsung) but M21 doesn't have Knox, so that method didn't worked too. Game Optimizing Service app is limiting your fps to 40. I dont want to root my phone. I want to remove, disable this app without root. How can i do that? Please help me. Thanks in advance.
