I am a beginner at android development.
I have a Lenovo tab 2 a7 10f which was, actually given by my coaching institute with a KitKat rom installed in it which, i guess was with system app of them.Whenever anyone would open it, it would turn on with a screen if the app only.With my current knowledge, system app can only be deleted by flashing a new rom or by rooting the rom(what could i do by roiting if it turns on to that app only!). Now,I wanted to flash a firmware of KitKat, either by recovery or by SPF tools.
1. I tried recovery and then rom method, after installing adb and fastboot drivers and Lenovo usb and that 15 second driver, adb devices didn't show up(It showed up on any other device )
2.I tried Spf tools method ; it also didnt work
To my curiosity:angel:, in the stock recovery, it showed the option of flashing an update through adb sideload.
I tried and it showed up like
Xxxxxxxxxx.... sideload
I read the xda forums and found that to install a custom or stock lollipop rom a minimal mod has to be made using SPF tools.
NOW
what i need is KitKat recovery flashable stock or custom rom because there are lollipop ROMs everywhere.If it is already available, please send me link or if any guy has a KitKat rom and knows how to make a flashable zip of it, please upload.
This thread will be useful for many people having the same problem.

i was running my mmx A110 on a stock 4.1.1 rooted jb rom which was flashed with sp tools .
now i just wanted to go to suvi so i decided that it might be good if i downgraded and then root my deviceagain installing custom recovery {CWM}
but the problem is whenever i downgrade or upgrade my rom i need to restore my IMEI because it just shows that my cell has an invalid IMEI so i HAVE TO INSTALL MOBILEUNCLE TOOLS.
SEE NOW HERE IS WHEN THE TROUBLE STARTS
1> I downgraded with sp flash tools ..... successful.
2> Rooted my device ..........................successful.
3> tried to install MOBILE UNCLE TOOLS......... installed but not opening.
So then i formated the phone with flash tools and then again flashed 4.0.4 then tried to install mtk but still no success [installed but not opening]
tried other app but they open without any problem.
SO GUYS NOW I AM TOTALLY F***ED
PLEASE
NEED HELP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS I AM A COLLEGE GOING STUDENT AND NEED IT FOR MANY PURPOSES

To all the new members i request not to qoute the full post....instead qoute a part of it or make a direct reply..or otherwise it makes the thread really ugly.
Problem solved
It is a problem with the MTK Mobile Uncle tools. Download a old version of the app. It will work. If u dont have i am uploading in general section now. Download from there
I installed android lollipop, after a while decide to return to the original version, but the tutorial was speaking to return to play Goggle edition, and then go to the original,but i tried to install the original but it restarts in fast boot after installing.
the version of google play edition only works one chip, I need the another chip, I tried installing with the fastboot but after installing the rom stock does not start, it goes to fast boot menu automatically.
and I can not install by the recovery menu.

Finally got it! after hours installing roms, I got through a tutorial which uses this .bat (i cant post links lol), the tutorial is in the android pit (Motorola Moto G - [Tutorial] [STOCK] Reinstalling the stock firmware and installing updates [XT1032 and XT1033]) if someone happened the same thing send me a private message.
We all like to flash new custom roms in our Lenovo A6000.
Some time new custom rom release on Lolipop base which is very attractive and we might wanna check it out.
Unfortunately the new custom rom might be buggy and we may be forced to revert back to kitkat or whatever os you were before.
Analysing the present custom os' available for lenovo a6000, many rom authors says that the phone should be currently running on kitkat/lolipop before instaling that particular OS.
I found a work around to avoid flashing of 1 GB stock rom (which is time consuming) to get into kitkat/lolipop build. You just need to flash a very small sized zip file which contain the core system files that are essential .Steps
From Kitkat to Lolipop
Download Kitkat named file attached below
Copy it to your sdcard
Boot into recovery
Flash the copied file
flash whatever lolipop custom rom you like
Voila all done and reboot
[*]From Lolipop to Kitkat
Download Lolipop named file attached below
Copy it to your sdcard
Boot into recovery
Flash the copied file
Flash whatever kitkat custom rom you like

Unfortunately It's not working for Me on A6000,
i was in CM 11 4.4.4 (Unofficial),
I just flashed your Kitkat based system by you.zip via TWRP and it's succesfully installed,
Then i flashed Xenon HD from ( http://www.techolaty.com/34356/lenovo-a6000-plus-xenon-hd-custom-rom-32-bit.html ) which is based on Lollipop 5.1, > it showed installation completed.
and i rebooted my device.
But Stucked on Lenovo Logo.
Waited for more than 5 - 6 Minutes, Done 3-4 Times, But no more Changes_Any remedy?
But after this i can install Kitkat based ROM, installed CM 11 again without any changes,

You need to flash lolipop base system not kitkat.
Great @rahulsnair You saved time of installing stock kk and lp again and again if we want to change OS(lp and kk).Many users are not aware of this tool.It helped a lot .It works flawlessly.No brick found.

Hello everyone, Sorry if I'm in wrong category.
I check this forum everyday and I get lots of help from it. Thanks to everyone.
Recently i was porting an IOS ROM on my Lenovo a6010 and after i installed the Ported ROM with TWRP then my device is stucked on Bootloop. I tried to install Stock Rom but my device isn't being detected. Is it because I may not have installed the drivers properly ? Also i tried to flash Recovery with ADB but the device doesn't detect on my pc.
Can anyone tell me if i did anything wrong while flashing the stock rom. Or else give me a good driver. I tried installing manual drivers via Device Manager but the files from this device were blank.

LAVA IRIS X1 GRAND ,ROMS,ROOT AND CUSTOM RECOVERY
All the people who are using lava iris x1 grand (like me).Well this device is not that popular for big roms to built for it and new threads to be started but still there are people who are using this device and want guide how to root it ,install custom recovery ,and roms .
So for rooting this device basically its the same for all android device but I refer Kingoroot as I have successfully rooted the phone with it many time but yes you need a good speed internet for faster rooting and above 60% charge so it don't get shut down while rooting or you will be in big trouble before that you should make a backup of your data which you can make in your stock recovery and if you are on lollipop version basically you must have observed things like no detection by Mtk droid tool ,no and drivers of device and the most important you recovery is locked ya after the lollipop upgrade the recovery is locked so if you need to get into recovery you have to try combination of volume +volume - and power button (I too don't know I just get wild and press the three of them randomly and unlocks) or you can get your device downgraded .
For downgrading your device or if you are stuck in bootloop and don't have a custom recovery then download the lava iris x1 grand stock rom (any version you want ) spflash , a pc and some common science,so take your device battery out plug it in to pc using sub cable open flash tool on your pc locate the downloaded rom select the framework file and the press on download button in the flash tool after this press the volume up bottom and then the flash tool will detect your phone then wait for the yellow line to filled up then a check box will appear saying downloaded successfully the boot you device up and you will have your device e downgraded and if you want to upgrade it download the upgrade version of rom and flash it with same process .
: FOR CUSTOM RECOVERY:
For this you need the device to be at kit Kat and should be Mtk ( works for all Mtk kit Kat devices ) then download the easy magic Phillz recovery ,or easy magic twrp (if you need twrp as a recovery) .On your pc make sure you have kit Kat ,Mtk based phone and drivers installed open the setup let it install and then start the easy magic philz/twrp and but you should have your device rooted .After this you should have your custom recovery installed if not then comment .
: ROMS:
Lava iris x1 grand dint had any rom porter until nikhilbhise2244 started to port for this device so plea like his post as well after you have your custom recovery installed , download the lava iris x1 grand rom from Nikhils post and put it into your phone's storage (but remember where you kept it ) boot into recovery using the key combination or any third party app .After you get in the recovery before installing a rom you should clear the delvik cache,data (don't clear the internal data or you you will delete the rom downloaded) and system after this search for the rom downloaded install it and you will boot up in a new rom
NOTE:I am not responsible for any damage to your device all the tool mentioned above are created by their respective creators I don't own any of them I just shared some knowledge I knew about the device and request all the readers for sharing there knowledge about this device and quarries down in the comment section !!thank you for reading .

What is your kernel version
Somebody have x1 grand kitkat firmware? I have searched for it but could not find it I want bcoz I want to install kernel 3.4.67 rom on my 3.10.54 kernel.
