[Q] Karbonn A2+ ROMs and CWM?

Hello all.
I'd like to know if there's any custom roms for Karbonn A2+. I'm already guessing the answer is a "No" so I'd like to know if/how I can port any rom with JB firmware and any CWM to my device (Please tell me what rom should I take to port
The device runs on 4.0.4 ICS, with 1ghz 256mb ram, and a 4" WVGA capacitive touch screen. I've rooted it via Framaroot and am using an additional 1gb of swapped ram.

Interesting, could you please dump the rom?

Root & cwm for karbonn a2+
It is a simple procedure, but it took long time for me to make it work.
Points to consider
a. After flashing my phone didn’t boot. I just flashed only the recovery, I think that would caused the problem, later I re-flashed the stock rom boot img separately).worked !
b. Instead of backup copy I tried with the stock rom imgs, It worked for me. If you don’t want to lose any data please use your phone backup copy img files.
c. I am not a developer & don’t know how the stuffs work inside the mobile, with the help of XDA contributors & developers forum messages, I was able to do something.
d. Please do read the rooting & flashing guides thoroughly.
e. Please don’t panic if something goes wrong. Stock rom is available, flash it & you get your mobile back.
ROOTING & BACK UP
1.Frama root will give you the root rights ! - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
Download & Install - open it choose install super user, then click "boromir" success message will appear, click ok and reboot your phone. You can see a message "android is updating" after you reboot your phone.
2. Dowload MTKdroid lastest version (older version also fine)-sorry I couldn’t find any working links
Backup your stock rom using MTK droid tool, before making any changes to the stock OS. MTK droid tool may ask you to root again. Please read rooting and flashing instructions thoroughly before doing any changes.
a. Install MTKdroid tool in your pc & open it, If the tool asks you to root, click root, in couple sec or mins yellow signal will turn green.
b. Click on the “Root,backup,recovery & then click backup – Please wait till the process completes
If the message says “end with error” – The backup copy will not help us to re-flash the OS
(I tried many times, but I am not able to flash the backup copy with SP flash tool, gives me some error.
(for making CWM the above copy is fine, because I hope there won’t be any error when the software creates a backup for boot.img & recovery.img)
c. Ok assuming that there is no error, the next step is Click on the button “To prepare blocks for Flash tool” – wait till it completes. This process will gives us the entire copy of the rom to flash it with SP flash tool – Can find the backups in MTKdroid tools /backups/ Karbonn-A2+_number _date_backup_ folder/file to flash tool. (MTKdroid tool is required to create CWM, so don’t close the MTKdroid tool)
d. No stock roms were available when I was testing that time, so I ended up with the service center. Thanks to XDA member “Forever Alone”. Now working stock rom is available.
3.CWM CREATING & PORTING
a. Select “To choose the boot.img file & click recovery & boot. Software will ask you to select the boot.img. Select the boot.img from the backup copy in MTKdroid tools /backups/Karbonn-A2+_ _backup_ /file to flash tool.
b. Click Yes - To make CWM automaticllay
C. Click yes - If phone isn't loaded, it is ness to flash this file...to phone? Software may show a write error, just leave it for now.
e. Click NO - Install created recovery to phone ?
Copy of the recovery & boot img will be in MTKdroid tools /recovery
Now CWM has been created & that needs to flashed via SP flash tool
4. Flashing CWM recovery
Download SP flashtool - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982576
Copy the scatter file from Mtkdroid backup folder to mtkdroid recovery folder to avoid confusion in selecting the image files.
Open SP flashtool – Select the scatter file from mtkdroid recovery folder & flash it. You are done. Now you can see the auto made CWM instead of stock recovery

5.Download the stock rom from - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520719
Extract the files & store it in separate folder.

hi.. im using karbonn a2+ mtk 6575 device .i downlaod lewa os for karbonn a11 as same specification of karbonn a2+. but installed that succefully. but stuck in boot logo..but im not ported this rom.i just change boot image only.. what is the problem??

[Q] Corrupted Baseband PLS help

Hello all,
I am desperate for help. I got a BLU Life One M and flashed the A117 Kitkat ROM from here:

It destroyed the baseband and now the SIM slots are not working at all.
Before flashing I used TWRP to backup the entire phone and used MobileUncle to backup the IMEI. The files I have now are:
recovery.log
boot.emmc.win
cache.ext4.win
data.ext4.win
logo.emmc.win
nvram.emmc.win
recovery.emme.win
sec_ro.emmc.win
system.ext4.win
uboot.emmc.win
IMEI.bak
I tried TWRP recovery but it does not repair the baseband. I also tried MobileUncle with IMEI.bak but it does not write anything back.
I wonder if there is still a way to save this device. Thanks!!!

I have the same problem. I was able to download the above original firmware and used sp flash tool to flash it back to the phone. Baseband and IMEI still show as unknown. Does the stock firmware include baseband flash? Any other suggestions?

Hi,
Yesterday afer root of my mmx magnus a117, I tried to install recovery with help of TWRP manager but after that I face issue of my network signal, this is due to loss IMEI, so I tried to slove this issue with help of mobileunkle tool to go in engineer mode to feed IMEI no but its not working, as it show my Radio state off.
My phone SIM managment is also got inactive ( greyed out ). My Baseband Status showing unknown
Please can some one help me on this....

hello friends finally i have managed to flash my celkon a118 with stock rom. I am writing the procedure to some one who is needed. I am staring this post as assuming that you have minimum idea of how to flash your phone. if not please search about basics. please undesstand that i am not responsible for any damage to you phone.
1. downloaded many stock roms none of them are worked. finally i downloaded from the android xda site.

2. install drivers. i face bit difficult in this aspect. it is easy to install pdanet software in net and connect your working phone to pc.
3. In the firmware file there is a mtk flash tool. if you are comfortable do that or try sp flash tool.
4. while flashing you will get checksum error. the solution is delete checksum file and flash now.
5. the checksum file is in the downloaded file>flashtool>sp>checksum.ini(configuaration file)
6. flash now better to use firware upgrade. once i tried flash all and download then my imei is failed then i write my imei with mauiMETA software.

Working but after installing i "Revoke USB debug authorization" got vanished
Revoke usb debugging authorization is vanished from my developer menu. And i am not able to connect ADB anymore.
It just not asking for any authorization anymore. I tried all adb drivers also pdanet. Still nothing.
I know it's sounds stupid. I mean how can a recovery effect such things.

1.) I found that philz recovery does not work at all my device when flash via mobile uncle tool device screen becomes white after reboot and when i remove battery and power on then mobile bootloop on logo
2. while flashing with sp flash tool say pmt change error
3. and when upgrade firmware mob become bricked
is there wrong with preloader in stock rom. Is it tested or not

WE can also flash a custom recovery for Xpress 2 through Rashr Flash tool..........I'm going to make a tutorial on it.........We just need the recovery.img file nd its done..

in rooting process is the touch screen recovery will come after patch download....

hey Abhi I downloaded your app. It is very helpful. Thankyou for making that app. I have the custom recovery now. But when I opened the stock rom option nd tried to download , it showed error 404. Please fix the error or provide a link for stock recovery of both the variant.

Hope you have installed all the required drivers in your PC , open sp flash tool and select your scatter file from the ROM you downloaded and then turn your phone off . click download button in PC and then connect your phone to PC it will automatically start to flash the ROM . there so many guides in web like how to use sp flash tool . make sure to write your IMei number in notes so that if it is invalid you can write them again .. After you flashed this ROM your phone will be completely stock . you don't need battery to be removed in this device , so flash tool will work perfect .. Check the website firmware file . com for some tutorials using so flash tool. Save this ROM in your PC because I can't get E481 ROM from any where..lol

But my concern was previously I tried to use SP Flash Tool but whenever I connect the phone after switching it off, automatically it started charging and nothing happened in SP Flash Tool. Hope this problem will be solved this time. Although thanks a lot because using your recovery.img I successfully restored original recovery. Thanks a lot.

OTA update issue

I have rooted my phone with kingroot,few days ago i received an OTA update of size 72 MB when i download it and tried to install it showed error and message was "unexpected contents in recovery.sh" and also i couldnt get the update file which was downloaded. Can u plzz provide a solution for this.Thanks for stock firmware though

In sp flash tool first select the scatter file and then it will load all the required files , then click download button , and then turn your phone off and connect to USB .. It will start flashing . if you have any problem saying some error select format and download option , note : when you select format and download your imei will be lost so take your back up of your imei number or take a note in paper .. So after flashing you can use Maui meta tool to restore the imei .

Flash the stock firmware from the above link and then you can update ota , after that you can Root . please read all the post here when flashing the firmware . so that you know what to back up .

Bro, i have done it successfully. Actually i installed cdc driver only. But USB to Serial driver needed to b installed. This info was not mentioned anywhere. Bdw, now after instalin both the driver manually, i can connect any mmx fon b it with removable battery or nonremovable battery. Even i hav successfully instaled ota update also. Hop this will solve marshmallow update also. Once again thanks a lot for your precious work.

Which version is this ROM? Marshmallow or Lollipop? And is it official or ported?
