Restoring HTC One X to Stock w/ OTA - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
Needing a bit of help getting my One X back to stock with OTA. I've flashed the rom from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2458291
Bootloader was unlocked and I also flashed the stock recovery, but can't get past ~25% when installing the 12mb 'heartbleed' update.
Info about device:
S-ON
HBOOT: 1.36
CID: HTC_044
Radio: 5.1204.162.29
Any ideas on how to proceed from here? I believe it has something to do with my HBOOT, but I can't figure out how to update it (to something like 1.73). Would be good if it was possible to directly flash a 4.4.4 ROM, but don't think that would be possible with the current HBOOT.
Thanks

Got it to work, needed the XE ruu, so i downloaded and ran "RUU_Pyramid_LE_HTC_Europe_1.72.401.1_Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2_release_214840_signed.exe",
Everything worked fine, was back on GB and S-ON. Then I updated the OTA update to ICS, and installed it. Now it won't boot. Just the HTC splash screen, then rebooting again. Can't see the boot animation, just the white screen with green "hTC".
I have booted into bootloader and fastboot, tried boot into recovery, but that didn't work it just rebooted again (and I don't have a recovery installed). I tried "Factory reset" but it just rebooted again. It does not get passed the splash screen. Any help?
Info:
HTC Sensation XE
Pyramid PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.27.0000
eMMC-boot

This is what it says in the HBOOT and FASTBOOT.
Any tips on what to do? It will be greatly appreciated.
Edit: saw another thread, maybe the firmware is too old? I thought it got updated with the RUU, but maybe it doesnt? To install a new firmware do i just adb push it to the sd card? As mentioned above I can't get into recovery and mount sd-card.
Ok, whats your CID?
The base rom you needed to install for OTA update was 1.73.401.4 not 1.73.401.1
Did you have s-off??
It's not the FW as it's updated in the OTA - do a factory reset and you should be fine (although you'll lose your data)
@SquithyX: My CID is 11111111, unless it got reset after running the ruu
I had S-OFF but set it to ON, needed to send it in for rep.
@EddyOS: I can't factory reset, when I press it in BOOTLOADER it just get stuck in a boot loop again. I don't have a custom recovery installed due to me beeing S-ON
Also, thanks for help
Are you sure you flashed 1.73.401.1 rom???
Your CID should be the same
If you did, it looks like you need to s-off (not easy now but can be done)
Install 1.73.401.4 GB ROM
Then apply OTA ICS update
thanks, will try to get s-off again? Do you have a guide to get s-off from bootloader/fastboot? I searched around for it but did not get any results
Its not very nice as it uses the HTCDev system by here you go:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21922297#post21922297
You need to downgrade your firmware and install the 1.73.401.4 ROM, from there you will have a smooth upgrade to ICS.
Thanks very much, will give it a go in the morning.

[Q] one S hboot 1.14 wont load OTA

I'm a Noob with a problem. I believe this is what happen i updated the one s via OTA 1.84.531 gave me hboot 1.140004 and radio 1.08ts.50.02.16 then i decided to Root. when I rooted i flashed to a rom that apparently broke my wifi. I did not have a nandroid backup (epic FAIL) so i found the 1.53 stock nadroid on a forum inorder to unroot and flash RUU 1.53 which should re flash the One s to stock and fix wifi. After re locking boot loader and trying RUU 1.53.531 and 1.84 get error "155" from RUU, so i tried OTA, OTA downloaded but fails on install. what i believe i need is a non rooted 1.84.531 nandroid backup to match my baseband and hboot. because my radio is most recent and Hboot is 1.14.0004 havent been able to flash radios. Please HELP hope i was clear
HTC one S TMO US
stock non root-1.53.531.16 710RD
base-band 1.08ts.50.02.16_10.08e.50.04l
hboot-1.14.0004
[fixed] one step missing when i was trying to unroot with RUU I needed to flash STOCK RECOVERY before updating. didnt even have to OEM lock. after that OTA worked fine fully updated One s and most importantly fixed WIFI.

[Q] Having issues with getting RUU for SE_ASIA WWE

Hi all,
I am currently stuck with a crashing version of CM9.1 on my HTC Sensation.I did not backup a rom.
It keeps boot looping when i try other roms and flashing the boot.img does not help.
CM9 seems to work but when it enters into the OS,it works for about 10 seconds before it freezes, crashes and restarts the phone.
I'm looking for a HTC__044 (SE ASIA WWE ) CID RUU which has a version > 1.50.401.1 OR any other alternative to help me solve my predicament.I'm kinda stuck.I'vetried finding for an SE ASIA WWE RUU but it's really hard to find these days.
My device stats are as follows:
UNLOCKED (via HTC DEV)
PYRAMID
S-ON
HBOOT IS 1.18
RADIO is 10.14.9035.01_M
Version-main is 1.50.401.1
I tried various methods like revolution.io to S-OFF and S-ON methods like enabling the last line in 4ext Recovery on the tools page (forgot what it was).
Help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
You have GingerBread radio and firmware.
You are trying to load an ICS ROM.
It will not work.
You need to flash a GB ROM.
Look HERE
Try that first.

[Q] Cyanogenmod Update

Hello Guys,
i haven't been into flashing for a pretty long time, so i could really use some help getting back into it. Right now on my phone i have cyanogenmod 10 which is pretty old and doesn't run very smoothly. First Problem i have is to find out, which rom i'll use from now on, maybe you can give me some tips, all i really need from a rom would be that it doesn't drain the battery too much, that it is clean and fast, so nothing fancy it should just work properly. But then it comes to the difficult part! What do i need in terms of radio, hboot, kernel and recovery, because on my phone i still got the really old stuff? I already tried to read myself into what's happening now, but can't really figure it out xD
Phone Setup right now:
Rom: Cyanogenmod 10
Radio: 0.16.31501S.17_2
HBOOT: 1.09.0000
Recovery: ClockworkMod Recovery v5.8.1.5
CID: 11111111 S-Off
I don't know how you could update your HBOOT, but here's what could be your target:
HBOOT 2.15
Radio 1.20
CyanogenMod 11 M7 (out in a few days)
ClockWorkMod Touch recovery 6.0.4.8
Thank you for your answer. Already figured out out how to update the recovery got twrp 2.6.3.0 now, but my phone wont start now just the bootloader and the recovery.
Tried to upgrade my hboot and radio with a new RUU, but always get error:159. Think i got the wrong RUU for Tmobile Germany, even changed the CID back from 11... to T-Mob101. Problem is i couldn't really find an instruction on how to update my Radio with S-Off already done.
Can't really nobody help im stuck right now with flashing the RUU and always get the same error. I have a T-Mobile One S from Germany, which RUU do i have to use or where can i find one and is an hboot update needed to flash my Radio?

[Q] Return to Stock?

I was wondering if I could get help to returning my htc one s back to stock. I failed miserably trying to install the liberty one s rom but now I'm so lost and confused I rather go back to where I relatively started. I don't know if this helps but I used moonshine for S-Off and while I tried loading the rom into my phone I only had about 48mb of internal phone storage I found out.
My phone right now:
Tampered
Lock
S-OFF
CID T-MOB010
HBOOT 2.16.0000
RADIO-1.13.50.05.31
Recovery: ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.4.8
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Download and run the official JB RUU. Then you will go back to stock.
You will have to relock the bootloader.
No need to lock your bootloader if you'll install a custom ROM later. If you want better security lock it and get back to S-ON.
