IF the XZs which is basically XZ is going to be released with 7.1 on April (5th?) then positive side of me would say that 7.1 for XZ also comes then.
Negative side predicts May 2017

Ok so I'm waiting for improved battery and camera

Yes, version .442 is laggy and slower than .417
Especially when trying to delete from sd card.
Some app now can't use sd .
Revert to .417

Mine is not laggy on 39.2.A.0.442 firmware. Yes, it was laggy first day (that is yesterday) but now it is OK.
Use XPERIA Keyboard. I don't have problems with autocorrect.

Thanks guys. I'll wait for Existenz version of the new FW. I hope it is faster

Call logs lag now fixed!!! TNX sony.
I can't say the lag is gone, but scrolling in call phone now is more smoother than before.

Nope not at all for me, it seems they're just pushing security updates, I see no improvements in speed, battery or smoothness since i bought the phone. Especially the phone log lag needs to be fixed, I mean how hard can it be? its exactly the same as the google app which runs very smooth on my Z3!

Scrolling smoothness

Some phones exhibit choppy scrolling, especially when navigating long web pages when multiple apps are running in the background. Rate this thread to express how you smooth scrolling feels on the OnePlus 2 under such conditions. A higher rating indicates that scrolling is always buttery smooth, even when you're reading a 10,000 word article on "how to kiss a girl".
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
It's pretty finicky. Apps like 9gag are very smooth but Instagram is laggy. It had always been the other way around on other phones for me.

Its generally very smooth throughout different apps. Any lags is due to the loading of new content, which is probably why you see stutters in apps like Facebook, Instagram, and what not.
Also how is your phone set up? Running AK Kernel greatly improves overall UI fluidity as well.

Everything stock. I wanted to try AK but I'm a bit sceptical about fast charge it has, won't it wear down the phone faster? Have you tried Boeffa or sandy kernel? Do they have good scrolling too?

I tried AK and boeffla only, so I dunno about Sandy. But it honestly the scrolling cant be any worse than the stock kernel. The fast charging can be disabled (In fact I think its disabled by default) and since OxygenOS 2.1.1 users have reported that the default charging speed is already faster than before.
AK Kernel also unlocks all the cores of the Snapdragon 810 so you should also see better performance in games. Best of all you'll probably get better battery life out of your phone as well.
I have to agree that the new update (2.1.2) + AK kernel make the phone feel perfect for me. I am really enjoying it now and I have absolutely no more issues (home button, lag, etc.).

But, yeah... M on the phone does sound awesome. However though, I am expecting some new bugs with the OS ... so for now I am enjoying a BUG free phone

My LG V20 Performance

Hello everyone.....
I've some question, why my LG V20 not work really well sometimes lagging.
I've try the performance with dolphin emulator and its wierd fps sometimes drop dunno what happened,
I see someone using different phone with spesification lower than v20 with same version of app n setting it run really smooth n good,
What should I do?
Should I change the rom ?
Sorry for my bad english :crying:
If the performance is lagging and you really can't figure out why, try a full factory reset. It massively improved the overall performance of my V20 after it began to lag.
You rooted or what?

Why does rooting reduce performance ?
You may have RCTD running in the background. RCTD is LG's root checking service that runs rampant once you are rooted, causing a decrease in performance.

So are you only having problems with this specific app or is your phone lagging overall in general when you are using it. Emulators in general are very prone to performance issues especially on certain devices. Even flagships. Have you tried different settings in dolphin to see or are you just using the default settings that came with it after you installed it?

Also have you checked game battery saver settings under the batter options?

Oreo vs Nougat comparisons

Hi everyone! As long as official oreo is out i'm really curious about comparing vs nougat about performance and battery life. What do you think about? it's better or worse?
As I said in other threads I feel a lot of difference in the life of the battery, with nougat I had at least 1: 30hs more of SOT. at the performance level there is no doubt that oreo is better than nougat
my battery lasts longer for the same use
other changes : https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-s8-oreo-vs-nougat-side-by-side-screenshots/
BTW Another thing that I could notice is that now the iris scanner works perfectly with glasses
Iris scanner has improved alot in Oreo. The speed is blazing fast. On Nougat, I never used it 'cause it was a bit slow and buggy but on Oreo, I'm unlocking my phone with Iris, more than I do with the fingerprint.

Have you also noticed that the accuracy on Iris detection is much better even in complete darkness.
Also, Yeah I sometimes forget that there is a fingerprint sensor on this phone. I just wish there were more apps that we could use iris authentication, especially lastpass. (Currently that is limited to samsung pay and google tez)
Battery life is horrible on 4G but better on wifi, i dunno whats happening to my Android OS as it gets a lot of background usage and BBS doesnt show anything special except for kernel wakelocks. other than that good update

Nougart, lol.
But anyways, I'm still on the beta right now on my unlocked snapdragon but overall I like it better than Nougat. Seems a lot smoother/faster. Battery life seems to be a wash for me, though I honestly didn't pay as much attention to it on Nougat as I have been on Oreo so I can't really say for sure. Had to install Nova launcher cause I miss the app info in the app shortcut menu but honestly after using Nova for a while I should have been using it from the beginning anyways. Haven't had any real issues with it, some force closes with Injustice 2 but I'm not sure if it's the app or Oreo since the app has updated a few times since being on the beta and it last updated right around the same time the last beta released which is when the force closes started.

I'm reading this alot on the internet, even some friends say the same: the iris scanner is buggy/slow/useless.
From my experience the iris scanner on nougat is amazing, 9/10 times it dont even show the circels to center your eyes, even when its completely dark or when i wear poralized ray ban glasses. I always brag about the iris scanner towards my friends who own a iphone x which works way faster then their face id. Also my GF's name is Iris whichs is kinda funny haha.
So you guys telling us that its even alot better in oreo (which is btw my favorite cookie) hypes me up so badly
Unfortionatly i just read that the OTA's been pause because samsung found a bug and i have to wait a little longer

CrDroid Oreo version for Mi4c

How is your opinion about this ROM.
It is very good and customizable with a ton of options.
Only thing that is boring sometimes is lag when open apps. Waiting for 4-5 seconds to.open it.
Does someone know how to avoid that lag?

I haven't found an Oreo ROM for 4C that equals a Nougat ROM ( for example, AEX or RR) in terms of speed and lagness.

Thanks, man, I got your link
But messing in the Settings, menus and that kind of stuff on a fresh installation seems to me the same as in Nougat. On my phone, lag appears in crDroid O (and all the Oreo builds) when I'm switching and reloading apps, with many apps installed and many processes running in the background. In this situation (regular use, not setting up the phone) I feel Nougat is better than Oreo.

Well, I'm not really complaining about Oreo, I know it was a hard work for its developers and builders and all the enthusiastic guys involved. The real accomplish was to be able to install and use Oreo for Mi 4C, almost bug-free. There are many alternatives to Oreo for Mi4C, even now, when devs are leaving its boat for other devices. MIUI 10 it's on its way, but LOS 14.1 is still developing - great work!
Personally, I'm using latest AEX Nougat and I'm happy.

Hi Gourcuff 14.
Thanks for yours tips. It was necessary to wipe also data (internal storage) to avoid bootloop. All apps, contacts restored.
I'm giving up - no dialer during incoming call.
LineageOS ftw
I use LineageOS found here for some half a year without any issues as a daily driver.
The only two things that i found missing are no vibration and the fact i can not find a way to activate Camera2API, so i can not use Gcam mods. But these are not really an issue tbh.

No bug as it is which affects your daily usage... And battery draining you experience after upgrading but once adaptive battery understands your usage it will improve over time... Need Atleast a week to settle down the things. Its your choice, if you want go ahead and sure you like it...

My OP6 on 9.0.2 does have temperamental battery life (sometimes it is ok and sometimes it drains quickly)
I heard 9.0.3 fixes this but I have yet to receive the OTA
I am on oos 9.0.3. works like a charm. No issues at all for me. Btw i did not face any issues with 9.0.2 either.

I like Pie more than the Oreo rom. I'd upgrade if I were you. The only reason you shouldn't is if you use an app that works on Oreo but not on Pie.
