Oreo or Pie.
Is there any battery, camera, performance, UI, issues on pie??
No such issues... Go for it... Even i had this hesitation but then things went well...

No bug as it is which affects your daily usage... And battery draining you experience after upgrading but once adaptive battery understands your usage it will improve over time... Need Atleast a week to settle down the things. Its your choice, if you want go ahead and sure you like it...

My OP6 on 9.0.2 does have temperamental battery life (sometimes it is ok and sometimes it drains quickly)
I heard 9.0.3 fixes this but I have yet to receive the OTA
I am on oos 9.0.3. works like a charm. No issues at all for me. Btw i did not face any issues with 9.0.2 either.

Everything looks ok and smooth,go for it!!!
I like Pie more than the Oreo rom. I'd upgrade if I were you. The only reason you shouldn't is if you use an app that works on Oreo but not on Pie.

Got only one info that is this update reduces heat/thermal algorithm improvement.
I wonder there has been a marginal battery life improvement(not sure though) as the earlier version 6.5.4.0 I felt that battery drain was high.
Thanks
Just my thought! I feel as if I'm getting more screen time with the same kind of usage after the 6.5.5.0 update. Shared my usage details here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60970024
Battery (screen time)
The phone also seems slower than before. Maybe they've tweaked the cpu governor parameters to make it less aggressive, making it cooler but at the cost of snappiness.

Hit Thanks  if you found it useful!
Yes this update was mainly for the overheating issues from the above two comments it seems this is update is doing good and i agree on the screen time to maybe others should help by giving their reviews with the new update

Is the phone lagging after latest update?

I saw significant improvement in battery drain after the 6.5.5.0 update. Prev it used to drain approx 1% every 10-15 minutes on idle, now its quite stable and sticking up longer!

How is your opinion about this ROM.
It is very good and customizable with a ton of options.
Only thing that is boring sometimes is lag when open apps. Waiting for 4-5 seconds to.open it.
Does someone know how to avoid that lag?

You can try to install the hate kernel, because their cpu scheduling is different, it may improve your experience.

I haven't found an Oreo ROM for 4C that equals a Nougat ROM ( for example, AEX or RR) in terms of speed and lagness.

Do you have those videos? I'm curious (pm me if you cant post them here).
Tried with 1.5b hate kernel...laggines is still present.
Cdroid maintener Vovan77 will not support this Rom anymore.
Now I am on RR and there is less lags but it is present.

Thanks, man, I got your link
But messing in the Settings, menus and that kind of stuff on a fresh installation seems to me the same as in Nougat. On my phone, lag appears in crDroid O (and all the Oreo builds) when I'm switching and reloading apps, with many apps installed and many processes running in the background. In this situation (regular use, not setting up the phone) I feel Nougat is better than Oreo.

Well, I'm not really complaining about Oreo, I know it was a hard work for its developers and builders and all the enthusiastic guys involved. The real accomplish was to be able to install and use Oreo for Mi 4C, almost bug-free. There are many alternatives to Oreo for Mi4C, even now, when devs are leaving its boat for other devices. MIUI 10 it's on its way, but LOS 14.1 is still developing - great work!
Personally, I'm using latest AEX Nougat and I'm happy.

Hello. Vovan77 has updated to Pie and it looks great. It's snappy at first look but multitasking has lag and battery life is terrible pls fix
First build > https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603894192
edit: unless my battery is shot, gone. I don't know I'm getting terrible battery life.
edit: I have ordered a replacement battery it looks like mine is gone. I will update here after fitting it into the phone.

Hi Gourcuff14.
I have tried to run this rom, but it hangs on "G" logo (longer than half an hour). Installation was without error (but first I had to avoid error 7).
What version of TWRP are You using?

Hello 1q1q. I've been using
TWRP 3.2.3-0_libra.img

Try updating firmware if you are still on an old one but that generally shows up during install.

Hi Gourcuff 14.
Thanks for yours tips. It was necessary to wipe also data (internal storage) to avoid bootloop. All apps, contacts restored.
I'm giving up - no dialer during incoming call.
LineageOS ftw
I use LineageOS found here for some half a year without any issues as a daily driver.
The only two things that i found missing are no vibration and the fact i can not find a way to activate Camera2API, so i can not use Gcam mods. But these are not really an issue tbh.

There is a new version avaiable.
The changelog does not tell much more than a new security patch (June 2019).
Maybe we can find some little goodies anyway.

dont know for little goodies but camera in night mode is still broken (still ****y noise on picture using night mode), i dont know why they even calling that **** "night mode" when it is useless, i know lot of guys say use gcam, im using but still that doesn't means xiaomi doesnt need to fix that.
last 2 updates this issue is present...im really starting to hate xiaomi bcs of software support.
It looks like xiaomi devs working only on pocophone and still can't fix anything on poco also

Ofcourse, it gets 4h on half a battery lol
For me the touchscreen feels much more responsive on this version. I've had lots of touch issues with each room on this phone. But this version seems to have improved a lot!

Anyone has weird wireless charging issue, when blue charging dial sometimes not showing on the lock screen once charging started and charging seems to wake up for no reason in the middle of the night?

In my daily use (18 h = 16 wi-fi and 2 4G), my SOT it's between 5 - 5,5 h.
10.3.4.0 feels more smoother and brightness sensor is less lazy.
Is anyone having any weak signal issues with this rom ? I went from RessurectionRemix to this via MiFlash and I get very weak or no signal in places where i had good signal previously.
No root and i don't want to root as the online banking applications i have to use complain about the phone being rooted
Yes, it's my feeling that signal is weeker than on previous ver
Which version worked best for you, signal wise? I saw people were having problems with 10.2.2.0 and i'd downgrade to something with better signal. Would that mean prior to 10.2.2.0 or is there something more recent that works ok?
I was only using 10.3.3.0
Dear everyone,
I' ve trapped by the battery issue of my phone. I absolutely love this phone but the battery life is so weak to me. Since my last phone is Mate20p which can be used for 2 days, I feel OP7pro is an only one-day phone and even need to charge twice in a day. However, I find there are so many alternative choices for me like in terms of the kernels, ROMs, etc. I am a new here, just wanna know which project is the best for extending the battery life? Thank you guys so much. Oh, by the way, I expect these projects have not many obvious issues for daily usage.
Kind regard,

My GM1917's battery life benefitted greatly from just NoLimits Magisk mod debloat. No issues at all. Stock OOS 9.5.11 and stock kernel. Also have forced 90hz and fixed resolution to QHD+.
NoLimits + Renovate Ice + Arter79 kernel has done me wonders. ~ 10%/hr drain on screen .3-.5%/hr drain standby.
Just debloating might improve it...

I'm seriously thinking to go and try some custom roms hoping for better batterylife. I barely get 5h of sot with stock rom. And I don't even game at all. Only chrome or brave browsing, facebook, instagram and youtube vanced. I get solid 4G connection all the time. And at home I'm connected to wifi. Screen on half brightness, 90hz and fhd. I really don't see a difference on battery draining with any resolution. All apps but messaging apps are optimised. After the android 10 ota upgrade I have once did a full factory reset even. But that didn't help at all.
Even tho any of my country's banking apps wont work after rooting, I'm willing to sacrifice that for better batterylife.
