Hello,
does someone know if there's a USB OTG Y Cable compatible to work with the Alldaymall A88T Pro so I can charge the Tablet and plug a PC mouse at the same time without an additional power supply?
The Tablet can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/Alldaymall-A88T-Pro-1920x1200-Lollipop/dp/B01MSMU8J0
Thanks

Unfortunately, this product actually does not allow the OP's device to simultaneously charge and act as the USB host device. The DECEC product has a switch for toggling between its two functions:
1. OTG Host Mode:Allows the OP's device to connect to USB peripheral (slave) devices and power them. This mode will also charge peripheral devices.2. Data Cable (Charge) Mode:Allows the OP's device to charge via an external power supply or via another USB host device (i.e., laptop).
Read the Q&A for this device on Amazon (go to Amazon and search for "Micro USB Male To USB Female Host OTG Cable + USB Power Cable Y Splitter"). The Q&A indicates that users have been able to use it for simultaneously charging a Nexus 7 and having the Nexus 7 act as a USB host device. One user mentioned that a custom kernel is needed to unlock this capability of the Nexus 7. They also recommended that a powered USB hub be used to ensure that the USB peripheral devices don't draw more power than the Nexus 7 can supply.

This adapter LIMITS THE CURRENT TO 1000mA as opposed to 1800mA using the 2.1A Samsung charger for TAB S 10.5. Presumably this would be the same for the Note 5 which comes with the higher capacity charger as well..
Hello,
I have the TF300T (without the keyboard dock), and I want to get a USB port dongle. However I have two needs:
I want the USB port to provide enough power for a USB 2.5" hard disk. I suppose I can use a powered USB hub for this?
I would really like to be able charge the tablet when the USB dongle is on. Is this possible?
Thank you

If that USB HDD requires 2 USB (one data one power), then a powered hub is your best bet.
When the USB dongle is in, it takes the place of the charging port. You can either charge the tablet or use the dongle.
Does the Note 4 support ACA (Accessory Charging Adapter) to be able to charge the phone at the same time as using a usb OTG adapter?
I want to be able to use a USB DAC and charge the phone at the same time. Is this possible?
It's a very good question. I am curious about it as well.
I have 2 pieces OTG "Y" cable. 1 of them can to charge my phone but the phone can not recognize the usb flash drive. The other can not charge the phone but the phone can recognize the usb flash drive. I need a mixed cable from this 2 )
I need a quality OTG cable, any recommendations?
Considering to use a Huawei Mediapad X2 7.0 for my 2DIN car install, since the dimensions of the tablet are nearly identical to 2DIN,
Therefore I would like to know if the device supports USB OTG Host mode and charging the battery of the mediapad simultaneously using a certain Y cable?
Thanks, much appreciated if you can give it a try!

Not sure about OTG Host cum charging combination because my understanding if you use OTG Host mode very likely you plug in a USB OTG thumb drive meaning you cannot charge at the same time.
However connecting the X2 micro USB port via standard USB cable to my laptop, I noticed I could use it as an USB device and it charges at the same time albeit not as as fast as a dedicated charging.

Yes, but not OTG.
I can confirm that, on my side, using an OTG hub with a external power plug, no way to have the device charged by external power when in OTG mode.
It is OTG or Normal charge and functions via USB.
Seems Logical because the Phone is supposed to provide the power to its USB accessories in OTG. Just my HUB has a switch that provide power to those accessories instead of the phone Itself. May-I add that switching this power button on the HUB does not function until you had unplugged & replugged the Hub in the phone after switching between the two modes. I'm afraid of the survival of the Micro USB plug of my phone, on the long run, with all those plugin, unplugin actions !!!
It's possible but with anothere Device the Nexus 7 (2012/2013) with Timurs Kernel. What's the difference of this kernel to the normal kernel, so OTG with charging is working for this device, too.
Hi guys, a friend of mine have and old Samsung android based phone.
I was thinking about give it a better use as an android tv box/media player, but I have a few questions, main concerning USB OTG.
I could use a USB OTG Y cable, so I could charge the phone while using it, and still have the OTG... could I connect an USB hub to the OTG so I could use a USB mini keyboard and a mouse?.
My other problem is the micro usb port and the HDMI conection to the TV. I could use a cable to connect the phone to the TV but then I couldn't connect the USB OTG. It's possible to connect HDMI and still use USB OTG???

Well... just so you know you can't have the phone charging and in OTG mode in the same time. Not even with adapters. This is because the current in USB can't flow in both directions in the same time (because there aren't enough dedicated wires)
