I have tried many one click root methods but none of them seem to work. The phone has a MTK chipset so it doesn't have any custom recovery softwares installed. I'm searching for rooting methods from the past 6 days and haven't found anything that works.
Any help would be great.

I just purchased an Alcatel Onetouch Pixi 7 from Sprint (Model number is 9007T). I have seen posts about rooting the T-Mobile version (9006W IIRC). Does anyone know if this process will work for mine without bricking it?

Well, I finally got the device rooted using KingoRoot's on-device method (I installed the APK). I had to completely disable the Lookout security software that comes preinstalled and it took 3 tries, but finally, it is rooted. I still cannot find a version of recovery that works with the device, but I am still looking.
I was able to use Kingo Root PC version. A couple of tries and it worked.
Has anybody been able to boot into the bootloader? I have been unsuccessful, I've tried a few different methods and nothing seems to work for some reason.
I confirm that the only thing preventing kingo root from achieving root is lookout disable it first... Do so in settings>apps>lookout>force stop/disable...
So looking around and cant seem to find any working methods to root device tried a bunch of root tools and some said successful however have not rooted device.
Anyone got an actual working root method for this phone?

I have huawei GR5 kii-l05, and have been unlock for bootloader.
And i am trying to root this phone, i tried Kingroot, android or PC versions, neither one of them is working, all failed to root. I already tried some chinese root tools, unfortunately still not get over this problem.
And i also tried to use QPST tool to read phone information, but can not go through it, i opened usb-debug model, also opened setting for manufacture mode, and background debug model, still not resolve these problem, can not root, can not use QPST to read phone information.
I am so frustrated on this phone.
I did success on root for ZTE grand X plus, and also used QPST to read ZTE phone, but for Huawei GR5, it looks more harder.
Please help me this trouble, any suggestion will be thankful.
after searching and keep trying, i used twrp for huawei Hornor 5x to root my GR5.

I have tried about every root method I have been able to find for weeks to root this model, and nothing is working. Anybody know of one that is current and working?
I have been trying to root this phone for several days now. I have tried every chinese method i can find. I have tried manually rooting via adb and still having issues. I am a linux user and having difficulties finding tools that will work with this. I have tried kingroot and every other pc and non pc rooting application and still having issues.
Would anyone know of a way that this could be done?
