I have huawei GR5 kii-l05, and have been unlock for bootloader.
And i am trying to root this phone, i tried Kingroot, android or PC versions, neither one of them is working, all failed to root. I already tried some chinese root tools, unfortunately still not get over this problem.
And i also tried to use QPST tool to read phone information, but can not go through it, i opened usb-debug model, also opened setting for manufacture mode, and background debug model, still not resolve these problem, can not root, can not use QPST to read phone information.
I am so frustrated on this phone.
I did success on root for ZTE grand X plus, and also used QPST to read ZTE phone, but for Huawei GR5, it looks more harder.
Please help me this trouble, any suggestion will be thankful.
after searching and keep trying, i used twrp for huawei Hornor 5x to root my GR5.
Hi. I have Huawei y6 2(not rooted). It is not otg supported. Will rooting allow to access otg?

I'd like to ask anyone for help regarding the rooting of my phone.
So far i have tried every program available like vroot,kingoroot,srsroot,framaroot and many others i dont remember,but no luck!
All of them have failed to root my phone.I ve installed the phone drivers on my pc and im running windows 8.1 on my laptop if that makes any difference.i also have usb debugging on.
The only time it worked, was with root genius but only for 5 minutes, then it unroots itself again.
So if you have any ideas please share,i only want to remove the bloatware that came with my phone.

I have just been given one of these god awful phones for work,
seems that we are stuck with 4.22 android, which is a shame because the work related apps the company bought me the phone to use, won't run on 4.22 and all the developers of the app say is that I need to upgrade to Android 5
Rooting Huawei y330 u-01
Though this problem has taken a while now, it is possible to root your Huawei Ascend y330 u-01 using the kingo root option as at 4th December, 2015 :highfive:. I am not quite sure if rooting via phone works, but the results are impressive through the PC version. Unlike before where rooting restarts the phone unexpectedly and fails, support for Huawei y330 u-01 is now available for kingo root users. However, at the time of writing this piece, though root is successful, it is easily lost when you allow an application to access the root for a couple of times. Therefore, you should use this access immediately otherwise you will have to wait again for the kingo root program to root your phone again.

Step to root Honor Holly 2 Plus
i have found a way to root honor holly 2 plus, but after i root my phone, my sim card did not work anymore. so root at your own risk.
i will include 2 pdf files below on how to unlock bootloader and then install TWRP and root. to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP, you will need a PC and adb. also, if adb drivers are not installed from phone, download adb driver kit, set phone to CTP and then download the drivers.
P.S. I do not take credit for this method, as i found it online. All credit goes to the ones who did find this method.

one link is for root and the other is for bootloader. i forgot which is which, but you need to unlock bootloader first to proceed with rooting.
Root Honor Holly 2 Plus
I already used that method It worked but i was unable to boot my device again. Then I created patched boot image and my device then worked nicely. But it takes long time to start device. I tried this method about one year back. There are three more custom recoverys including TWRP,CWM,CARLWIN. The easy way to unlock bootloader is First go to developer options then allow oem unlock and turn on usb debugging. Then boot into fadtboot mode and connect to pc. Then with fastboot setup enter command
1. Fastboot devices
You will see your device with some number
2. Fastboot oem unlock
On your device press volume up to conform. Then u successfully unlocked ur device but u will loose all your data so backup before unlocking device.

I am currently working with Huawei company as a sales manager.
As per my knowledge holly 2 plus is a unrootable phone made on testing basis
This phone was manufactured just for testing but many pieces of phone were manufactured and hence it was sold at a low price in market
It is not considered in any official huawei product and hence no update is released for it...
I have roooted it but for that u will hve to install cyanogenmod 12.1 first

Use updater in settings to flash
I think flashing magisk or supersu (if you can find the compatible version) using the updater inbuilt to the cellphone.

So now i've been rying to unroot it but it just won't let me, i've tried rooting and unrooting it with king root, kingo root, super su, root genius and still nothing. When i try with root genius it says something about built-in root which my phone doesn't have and the other ones just fail. I've been looking for the original firmware (C469 B160) for hours but i've only found different ones that doesn't restore it. I really need help, please. Been trying to unroot for hours.:crying:

Hi, i seriously need your expert guidance. I tried everywhere on this great forum but could not find the information. I bought 2 Doogee X5 Max for my sisters.. One is working just fine but other is not able to recognize network. I researched this further and realized that IMEI number beneath battery is different than what we get on pressing *#06#. Chinese counterpart is of no help as there is a major language barrier. I was told by one of the technician that IMEI numbers needs to be mapped to ones beneath the battery but for that phone needs to be rooted. I did almost everything Kingroot, kingoroot, vroot, framaroot but nothing was helpful. I also tried flashing TWRP from needrom using SP flash tool and though it flashed it successfully, TWRP does not get launched.. I tried everything using ADB and other root tools but none was sucessful. The only information about this phone root procedure is available on 4PDA but thats in russian. I tried google translate but it is of no use. I also tried above all mentioned methods by unlocking bootloader but its all in vain.. Please help.. I am counting on you experts

I am trying to root my Huawei P20 under EMUI 10. I tried Kingo Root (repeatidly fails at 90%), Kingroot (detect itself as a threat to root - WTF), iRoot (not working) and 360 Root (obviously not working because I am writing this thread).
I have also tried Kingo on computer but it fails to detect my phone (except once and it installed the drivers like for centuries).
I have read that I should unlock the bootloader (and maybe afterwards try again Kingo Root?)... I am not sure I should downgrade...
I am looking for a complete tutorial (from alpha to omega) for the newbie that I am. Can anybody help?
