I got my Mate 9 yesterday from Wonder Mobile, It the Chinese version MHA-AL00 with 128Gb ROM and 6Gb RAM it said it's an international ROM, everything works fine on it, and the ROM is all in English. The thing I don't understand is on the box label it says the model is MHA-AL00, but in the phone settings it gives the model number as MHA-L29, Build number is MHA-L29C636B158, it does have the 128Gb ROM and 6Gb RAM.
it looks like your phone has been rebranded to international version
Even wonder mobile is using the rebranding guide from here lol
Haha cheeky!

I thought that the MHA-L29 was only a 64Gb version?

Well I was just wondering since it says the rom is compatible with the International version of the device, which technically the Indian version is. However the phone carries the Model no. MB 865 and not ME 865
I know this might be a stupid question and I'm missing the semantics. But just wanted to know before I went and did something stupider.

I ordered what I expected to be the Global version of the Moto G from Amazon. But, looking at the "about phone"
info it seems to me that I'm got the US retail version instead. 174.44.1.falcon_Retail.en.US
Can someone please advise how I can confirm which version I have?

Thank you. It'll have to go back. I've checked my order and I certainly didn't make a mistake. I really appreciate your help.
How do I change the title to [solved] please?
eplacement phone has arrived...
So, I sent the old phone back (cost a lot in postage actually because the Litium batery couldn't be separated from the phone
My replacement phone arrived today and I still think it's another US retail version.
This tie the baseband is:
MSM8626BP_1032.3102.56.01P >>>> EDIT After several updates the Baseband is now MSM8626BP_1032.355.66.00R
System version shows as 14.14.16.falcoln_umts.Retail.en.US
Can someone please confirm if this is now actually the Global Version?
Any major differences b/w the global gsm and us version? :s

Can someone give some instruction on how to get the most "USA-like" firmware or version on the SM-G930FD. I'm not sure about whether I can install a different CSC, or whether that has to match the fw/bootloader/etc.
See the above thread. You will find everything there.

What to debranded this phone but can find MHA-L09C34B122 incase debrand goes bad. This is a single SIM model so need a good replacement rom that will get ota faster. Any ideas
Sent from my MHA-L09 using Tapatalk
The best rebranding option for a single-sim device is probably MHA-L09C432.
But there's no reason you can't rebrand it to a dual-sim device. It's just, the IMEI will be 0000000 for the second sim, so you can only use one sim.
If going to another variant and can get orginal provided rom C34B122 can i cross flash Cust partition? To other variant

This phone sucks for custom stuff.. Optus hasn't released firmware onto Huawei servers so thinking I'll switch to another phone. Hopefully Note 8 not far away..

i have the same build number Optus MHA-L09C34B122 ... sorry if i ask a silly question but how do i do the rebranding? also what about back up and reverting back to the original in case something goes wrong?
appreciate your help.
No rom isn't on Huawei servers looks like Optus hasn't released firmware yet. The Optus P9 Roms are on there so maybe due to it being new

You can use FunkyHuawei for that. It's a paid service though.
