I ordered what I expected to be the Global version of the Moto G from Amazon. But, looking at the "about phone"
info it seems to me that I'm got the US retail version instead. 174.44.1.falcon_Retail.en.US
Can someone please advise how I can confirm which version I have?

Thank you. It'll have to go back. I've checked my order and I certainly didn't make a mistake. I really appreciate your help.
How do I change the title to [solved] please?
eplacement phone has arrived...
So, I sent the old phone back (cost a lot in postage actually because the Litium batery couldn't be separated from the phone
My replacement phone arrived today and I still think it's another US retail version.
This tie the baseband is:
MSM8626BP_1032.3102.56.01P >>>> EDIT After several updates the Baseband is now MSM8626BP_1032.355.66.00R
System version shows as 14.14.16.falcoln_umts.Retail.en.US
Can someone please confirm if this is now actually the Global Version?
Any major differences b/w the global gsm and us version? :s

The baseband version you mentioned sounds like the M200KRKC1 of the korean m200 since there is no such radio like that on i9020t/9023/i9020a.
If that kc1 part is correct you got the korean m200.
Shutdown device, pull out battery, you will see model in battery slot

As long as you dont mess with the radio/bootloader you are good.. the only difference between the 3g (i902x/m200) variants is the radio baseband config.

Bootloader is generally fine but leave radio as it is that is latest for that variant.
Fyi if you want jelly bean.. there are reports that the cwm zip that i put together (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1784497) works on the m200.

Ok that answers your question there... its a i9023. As per the box they just reused boxes without checking what the model actually was. The confusing part before was that the baseband version doesn't match the european/north american models.

Best Buy sells an unlocked version of the G920T - http://goo.gl/bk4ukE
It's not T-Mobile. It's unlocked and has no carrier bloat - just the usual Samsung stuff. It shows "4G" for LTE. (Edit: Correction - after the OTA referenced below, it shows H+ and LTE)
It came with 5.1.1 out of the box, build ending in COG3.
It had a 272mb software update immediately available that took it up to the build ending in COK1 and added the Android Security Patch Level line showing 2015-11-01.
Just curious how this model fits into the other unlocked models (f, i, etc.). Did Samsung simply take the T-Mobile model and sell a variant unlocked with no T-Mobile influence?
Sorry to bump this but I'm seeing a few more of these in the wild now and trying to figure it out. It's gotta have the same internals as the T-Mobile variant since the model number is the same, I'm assuming anyway? The full model is SM-G920TZKAX, but the packaging and phone just shorten it to T. The T-Mobile model is SM-G920TZDATMB. I guess knowing what the letters after G920T mean would be helpful.
From what I've read it appears to be a unlocked version of the T-Mobile variant. Can't find much information about it.
I purchased the unlocked version from Best Buy yesterday for $450. Rooted it and could not be happier.

What method did you use? I'm concerned about doing any mods due to not having the right software to flash back to (which we don't have right?).
I used the follow root method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/galaxy-s6-root-5-1-1-variants-t3147074
As for going back to stock, you can always use smart switch, or ODIN back to stock rom.

I just bought this yesterday as an open box for $380. I was worried that is wouldn't have LTE band 17 for AT&T as the normal 920T is listed as missing this band. The Best Buy version does have band 17 and I'm connected on it now. Very happy with the phone so far.

you can also see the specs for the phone on Samsung's website. http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SM-G920TZKAXAR
4G FDD LTE: B1(2100), B2(1900),B3(1800),B4 (AWS),B5(850),B7(2600),B12(700),B17(700),B20(800)
Firmware?
Love the phone with no carrier bloatware, would have preferred 64GB but I can make due. I would like to root it but not without having factory firmware to fall back on. Even though it's a 920T it's has no T-Mobile apps so I'm pretty sure I can't load a T-Mobile ROM on it. If anyone runs across formware for a SM-G920TZKAXAR PLEASE let us know. TIA
Does this work with Samsung Pay?
Has anyone tried getting this to work with Samsung Pay? I saw on a Slickdeals thread that it will not work ... would love confirmation.
Also, and I know this is a very, very slight chance anyone will know this, but -- will this work with my old, granfathered T-Zones data plan?

Yes. You can load T-Mobile firmware onto it. You just get all the TMobile extra stuff. Thats the same "unlocked" model sold by Rent A Center.

Currently this variant is awaiting official upgrade, most nougat roms are not going to work fully as call audio is broken, you may need to wait till official update is released to have all functions.
Hey guys,
Anyone knows wherr to get the Version B or C of the phone?
Thr LTE bands in these versions are essential for use in Canada.
I looked and asked on Aliexpress, and they only have the Version A.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks!

Not fully true, there's a thread in this forum where someone got a copy from ASUS USA (review/preview device?) and based off the manual appeared to be a version C.
source: https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-6-2019/how-to/asus-zenfone-6-ama-t3935307
Only have phone for a few days, no issues. Checking firmware versions available at Asus site, the one I have is not shown.
1906.5-0 is the one I have, no OTA updates available but too afraid to try newer versions available on the website.
Any other US version on this?
Shouldn't this be a normal WW version firmware wise?
Thanks
I'm on August security patch. That's most recently. Just updated after next day when I got the phone.

I'm genuinely loving it, the only "cons" I've found so far are the weight, the provided case being too slippery.
And the most stupid and funny was testing Cerberus when it takes a pic of you when you introduce a bad pin/pattern too much.
The cam raising and hiding by itself is very stealthy, lol.
So I was attempting to root my device, flashed something I really shouldn't have and ended up having to flash back to factory firmware. I had THOUGHT I found the right firmware, but I guess I did not, as it now no longer detects my sim card. everything else seems to work fine but I'm pretty lost on how to go about fixing this. Any help would be much appreciated, imagine I got the wrong firmware from the list but if so don't know which one is correct

XT1955-2 is not US version, you flashed the US version virtually killed it.
You need flash back original XT1955-2 version, or trash it to get a new phone.
