Powered by Android SM-N9005 - Galaxy Note 3 Android Development

Hi all
I hereby present to you a cool addition for our beloved Note3 (SM-N9005 model).
Photos
Thanks to my junior @Kill-Switch
Please read the steps properly before you start flashing.
Don't hold me responsible for any damages you might end up doing to your device if you choose to flash either of the 4 files that I'm providing to you! :cyclops:
1. Go to Download mode.
2. Flash the BL file using Odin (remove Auto-Reboot tick).
3. After its been flashed completely, remove the data cable & pull out the battery.
4. Go to the Download Mode again.
5. This time, flash the CP file using Odin (don't remove Auto-Reboot tick).
These are links to 2 sets:
GPS works fine for me in the newer set, it might work for you with the older set.
1. Old
&
2. New
Tbh, the way I did it was, I flashed the Old set initially (photographs from that time) then I flashed the Newer set (hoping GPS would be better) & I still have the "Powered by Android" text in my phone.

tried the new one, and it works! looks really great, thank you! =)
im testing later gps if it is working properly
Gps working perfect ?

If I'm not wrong, this is the boot splash that you've modified. If so, then let me make one small request . Can you please make another one That says Note 7 instead of Note 3
Edit: I know this basic fact that boot splash (param.bin) has nothing to do with CP (modem) so I only flashed the new BL file with auto reboot ticked in Odin and it was success for me without the need to change my modem or follow the steps in OP. I've got the new boot splash now. Good job mate, hop you will make one that I've requested :good:

@TheTAMAS man, you are awesome. Haven't tried it yet, but the fact that you've shared for all to experience is awesome.

What I dont get is how this would effect your GPS?

Yeah but I thought you just edited the image from the bootloader. Is this a custom bootloader then? Not a lot of info on the OP but I'm still a bit of noob with boot loaders and modems

agree mate..hope he help

Just an opinion, but for those who like the hassles, can just grab the latest stock Note 3 firmware on sammobile and flash it using Odin. I did that and saw the Powered by Android text when I rebooted my phone. Its a good thing to update your bootloader and baseband as well, but if you like the simple way then go ahead with this one.
P.S Nice guide by the way

This didn't work for me though. I tried installing both new and old, untick auto-reboot, retick auto-reboot, all the tricks in the book, restarted the phone, after each method, no Powered by Android

Before these steps make sure you have latest version of kies installed, it helps in keeping latest drivers installed.
Files required for Flashing can be downloaded here.
1) Start Odin (if using windows 7 or vista right click Odin and use run as administrator)
2) Check "One Package" checkbox
3) Check “Reboot” checkbox
4) Check protect ops checkbox (Don’t check this if you are flashing I5801 with I5800 firmware for the first time.)
5) Check reset time checkbox, keep the default value as it is i.e. 300 don’t select any other options.
6) Hit reset files button once.
7) Click ops button and select OPS file for I5800
8) Click one package and select the firmware you want to flash. The file must a .tar file.
9) You can take a backup of your data/apps. For that you can use Titanium Backup. For backing up contacts and SMS.
A) go to contacts press menu/left most button select import/export option, then export the contacts to sdcard.
B) For sms use the app called SMS backup.
10) Now remove your sdcard and sim card from phone and do a factory reset/ Hard Reset also clear cache then restart and put it in downloading mode by pressing vol- + home + power button together.

After reboot do factory reset or Hard Reset also clear cache again then restart phone and put sim and sdcard back in.
Sorry cant post images right now in office, will attach images as soon as i get home.
Please let me know if i have missed anything or if anything needs correction.
ATENTION I5801 USERS:
to keep the i5801 bootscreen you should remove boot.bin and sbl.bin from the .tar file before flashing.
Not needed to remove SD/SIM.

Till now we don't need different .ops file for any of our firmwares they all can be flashed using same .ops file in the link i gave.
Yes you need to select the the same ops file apollo_0531.ops every time.
You wont get .ops files within Firmware zip files.
Attached is a image of Odin while all is set and we need to hit start.

[GT-I9305] Australian Samsung Galaxy SIII 4G Root Guide - NOT for other variants

Guide to rooting your Samsung Galaxy SIII 4G - I9305 - Optus firmware
Hi Everyone, so I have been spending the last 3 or 4 days trying to work out how I can gain root access on my I9305.
The only thing I was able to find was horror stories of people bricking their devices...
After a lot of research (and quickly learning how android OS images work!) I was able to generate my own custom rom for the i9305.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Things to note:
THIS IS FOR THE AUSTRALIAN I9305 (OPTUS) SGSIII 4G ONLY! DO NOT FLASH THIS IMAGES TO ANY OTHER DEVICE!!!
I will not be responsible for any damage done to your device or PC(s), flashing custom rom's can be risky, so please be careful!
This will most likely wipe your phone, so make sure you backup first!
This rom is 100% stock, it does not remove any optus apps or branding,
This will NOT give you the yellow triangle at boot
the MD5 sums for the files are below
9ef61bf0876b871a5b66ea273fa60079
I9305_XXALI5_root.z01

eefe9d3736e69542603ccebd3607c300
I9305XXALI5_I9305OPSALI5_I9305XXALI5_HOME.tar
to check these, download MD5summer from www.md5summer.org
How did I do it?
I originally created an insecure boot image, flashed it to the device and tried to gain root via adb, however this did not work, so I unpacked the system image file, added the nessicary binaries and repacked it.
Once I had done this, I was able to flash the system image with odin.
What do I need to do?
1. Download Odin (you might be able to use heimdall, however I have not tested this!)
https://hotfile.com/dl/173880315/eee04eb/Odin3_1.85.zip.html
2. Download the image (3 parts, zip files)

http://www.renscreations.com/i9305/I9305_XXALI5_root.z02 - Part 3
3. Unzip Odin to an easy to access place (such as your desktop)
4. Unzip the image file to the same directory.
Use either winrar (www.rarlabs.com) or 7-zip (www.7-zip.org) to extract the multi-part zip.
5. Boot your SGS in to download mode
(power off... then press and hold the power + volume down + home buttons at the same time)
6. Connect your phone to your PC using the cable that came with it.
If you are using a laptop make sure you connect it to a port on the machine not the docking station (if you have one). If your machine has USB3 try to avoid using the USB3 ports.
7. Open the Odin application
Make sure your phone is detected, there will be a yellow square in the top left corner (see below screen dump)
8. Make sure it looks similar to the below screen (same options ticked, the .tar file in the 'PDA' section)
9. Press start and wait. Your phone will be flashed and reboot when it is finished.
10. That's It, once the phone has booted you will have root access.
Very clever mick,
Well done.
Amazing work! So with the three zips - best way to join as one?
i use winrar, however you could use 7-zip as well.
www.rarlabs.com or www.7-zip.org
I'll upload these to my own site for faster immediate download for others . I'm currently redownloading part 3 since it seems to be corrupted. Eager to root my phone, thanks for the ROM!
I am willing to bet it will work on any GT-I9305... Even the european one As its exactly like someone flashing A I9300 to a I9300 from australia or a I9300T they all work together I have done it perfectly without a problem.
So I would say All I9305 are the same Overseas and australians... BUT IT HAS TO BE I9305 Model number

Cool thanks. So am not famililar with wiping except through CWM - do you just use the Samsung wipe in settings??
Dial *2767*3855# in the stock dialer, that is the quickest way.
but you will get NO warning, the phone will just begin to erase itself, so make sure you are ready!

Ok, I have a problem with the adb, I tried many times but it still freezing and my cellphone screen too, I searched in the internet many ways to mount the system partition as read and write but all failed. Im thinking that the problem is the nougat version, I have the J1 and Im downloading the D1. Pst, the drivers and the cables are ok, I used another adb codes and they worked.
Seems like it only works on Qd1, so if have updated QI1 or QJ1, got to flash back to Qd1 to get it to work
...
I flashed DQD1 via Odin and after that, I flashed the .tar, but it still freezing my screen, I tried first without flashing the .tar because after flashing the firmware, the custom logo appeared. But again, the adb process failed, itsn freezed like the other but was unable to copy the su.img

I did the same process that you made, so, I don't know why this happen, can you please assist this?? The phone doesn't matter, I just want to prove if this really work. I'll be amazed if this really do.
I´m facing the same problem on my device as @NerdTronik , just frezes when try to remount system as rewritable.. No succes as yet and I'm on Qd1 with the same kernel version.. Dont know How you Got to succesfully Remounted the system..
Another one stuck scratching my head with the phone locking when the batch script gets to the first adb shell mount command. The flash to DQD1 (from here, all 4 files) went fine. Flashed the new boot image without issue, reboot reflects custom image. Enabled debugging, connected with ADB, but that mount would be the final thing that would occur. Hoping this is just something we need clarified in the instructions.
Ok for all of your problem tonight i will make a youtube video learn how to root with the proof of it ☺?
Thanks for the root! Tell me, after I get the root of what custom firmware I can put? I understand you only need the development of verizon?
I did a Google for the the boot image file name and came across this link:
http://www.techzai.com/eng-root-file-samsung-android-7-nougat/
NOTE: I accessed this via Google's cache, and with NoScript plugin in Firefox. The firewall I was accessing through blocked the site for a reason... unsure if that could be that it isn't safe, work just didn't want me going there during business, etc. Go at your own risk.
But one thing that was noted in those instructions was to not only enable USB Debugging, but to also enable OEM Unlock in the developer options.
The thread for the S7 (which I think would apply but we just need to use the later released S6 boot image) mentions disabling secure startup. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039
Might have time to play around with this more during the coming weekend, but maybe @faw_wal or another member will get additional info before then.
Don't work in my phone
So has any one else been able to confirm this as a working method?

Oh nice, it's just seems impossible until somebody find the method to write in the system partition, in the thread you posted here, there was a man saying that we need to flash or do something before run root.bat, he didn't checked before but, sounds like a development.

Lg g7 thinq (lg710pm) to (g710ulm10g)

Few weeks ago i got a LG G7 “UNLOCKED” on ebay, the phone had a sticker where it said model “LGG710PM”, the bad news i was stuck with a FIRMWARE LM-G710ULM (V10b-LAO-COM) MAY 2018. I tried updating the phone via OTA or LGBridge and i had no luck. So i looked online for the correct KDZ file for the LGG710PM and also no luck, So what i did is look for a G710ULM KDZ, but the only one the i could find was the G710ULM10G_00 (https://www.mylgphones.com/lg-g7-thinq-project-fi-stock-firmware-g710ulm10g.html) . So after searching online and watching some videos on youtube if this could work, i found a youtuber video (MAXLEE) he change a FIRMWARE of sprint to a Canadian FIRMWARE and it work he did it on a LG G6. So what i did is try it on MY G7 model LGG710PM“ the only thing is that on the G7 there's a few more steps to do:
1) Download G710ULM10G_00 KDZ file
https://www.mylgphones.com/lg-g7-thinq-project-fi-stock-firmware-g710ulm10g.html
2) Download LGUP and install (make sure to use this link for download and follow instructions, like this you don't get an error when
you insert the KDZ file and hit START).
https://mega.nz/#!kCpHBaia!xZmico6MYL1T07ffuc8z6cCbs5oU4pKEz5VG-AwfvV0
A) Make sure you don't have LGBrige installed, if so UNINSTALL and delete any folder of LGBridge after you have uninstalled
(C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics)
B) Download the LGUP zip file and unzip, if you don't have the drivers install lgdrives(The file is inside the folder LGUP-LG G7 ThinQ).
After that install “LGUP_Install_Ver_1_14_3 (1).msi “ file.

}
C) After installing LGUP you must go to C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP and copy the first three files(CODEFIRE, LOG,
model) from the UNZIPED FILE from step B.
D) Go to file “model” (C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model) then go to file “common”....go to step “E” don't close the
window….
E) Go to the UNZIP FOLDER, go to file WindowsLGFirmwareExtract-1.2.6.1-Release. Run “WindowsLGFirmwareExtract.exe” and select
the KDZ file you downloaded, then make sure you
check on “LGUPc.dll. EXTRACT KDZ.
F) A file “LGUPc.dll” will be created, Copy that file into the folder “common”...... you should had left that window open from step “D”. Rename the actual “LGUP_Common.dll” to
“LGUP_CommonDDD.dll” and “LGUPc.dll” to “LGUP_Common.dll” and then deltate the “LGUP_CommonDDD.dll”.
Open LGUP...put your phone in download mode... select the KDZ file you downloaded from step “1” and in PROCESS select REFURBISH…. Then click START.
Thanks for posting the guide but I don't see any links to download the files on step 2

SN under Hardware is BLANK that has always been that way.... cant fix that.
I just checked with LGBridge. It still says "Cannot check software version. Please try again". I don't think we will be able to do OTA update in the future.

Yeah. I'm glad that we aren't stuck on May patch anymore. I don't remember but I don't think I had wifi calling before I flash this. Now I got wifi calling, so great. Thanks for the great guide.
Great! So is safe to flash then . Besides S/N still blank, any other side effect after flash? I assume storage 64gb still same, imie # still same, phone still unlocked, lte signal better? Good to see wifi calling is enabled.

How To Guide Guide to remove bootloader warnings

Here is a detailed guide on how to remove the bootloader warnings that appear at boot after oem unlocking your bootloader
please be sure to go over to here and give juda iskariotsky a like
if you want to remove them your self you will need
(only tested on Exynos)
Modded 7zip = Gdrive - Mega - Dropbox
Odin 3.14.1.3b = Gdrive - Mega - Dropbox
your firmware extracted
to just remove them without doing it your self
flash the up_param.tar file in odin under the BL tab
get it here = Gdrive - Mega - Dropbox
to remove them yourself you will need to follow these steps
(there is a video below too)
1st - download and install 7zip standard , and download and unzip odin
2nd - navigate to the extracted firmware and right click on "BL_S908BXXS2AVDB_S908BXXS2AVDB_MQB51326408_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5" {your firmware may be different}

}
3rd - select open archive with 7zip standard, once its open drag "up_param.bin.lz4" into the firmware folder window and drop
4th - right click "up_param.bin.lz4" and select "extract to "up_param.bin/"" using 7zip standard
5th - navigate into "up_param.bin" folder and right click "up_param.bin" and select open archive using 7zip standard
6th - select the two files "svb_orange.jpg" and "booting_warning.jpg" keeping your finger pressed on "ctrl"
7th - press the "red x" delete icon in the top bar to delete them
8th - close that window, and in windows explorer right click the "up_param.bin" inside the "up_param.bin" folder and select add to archive using 7zip standard
9th - in the archive format tab select "tar" and click ok, that file is now ready to be flashed in odin
10th - open odin, clicking "ok" to dismiss the warning, the press "bl" and navigate to "up_param.tar" inside the "up_param.bin" folder
done......
thanks to
juda iskariotsky for making it common knowledge
Kangi26 for patched odin
Do you recommend to keep the created up_param.tar to be used after each update?
i would like to say yes, but its possible samsung changes something and flashing the up_param conflicts with a change they make and causes an error, its unlikely, but never say never
Well detailed Guide, Thanks!
Wish there was something for Snapdragon users.
Nice
Does it work in snapdragon? Is it risky to test? Don't want to reflash and go through all the hassle of getting the phone exactly as it is now, since we don't have TWRP backups yet...

Exynos has the param bin file, Snapdragon possibly has it somewhere else.
Firmware code is S908E.. Give it a try, and its lovely if you succeed !

I was going to post my print, but mrjoy posted before. Digging around, it seems that this is not possible for snapdragons, at least for previous devices. It seems that the boot file is mounted during the boot and images are loaded, there is no way to extract and replace the images there without Samsung's signature.
I'm just writting what I found in other threads, though.
If you want to dig, it seems it is part of abl.elf file. See if you can get this to work.
Maybe if we could do that by another mean?
Any updates for S908E?

I wish for the same too. Guess no luck so far
I have followed your steps but it failed with my S22 Ultra Exynos :-(
Could it be because of "Universal Samsung PARAM Changer" Magisk's module?
Or "WETAmod" Magisk's module?
then there is no way to remove the bootloader warning in the snap version
