Can I flash official Verizon firmware even if my bootloader is locked? - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey bois,
I'm still sitting with 5.0.1 on my n915v because I dont have the verizon sim to upgrade it. Am I able to flash the Marshmallow over Odin even though my bootloader is locked?
I have an error when trying to update over Kies3 since when it downloads the update, it runs the phone in download mode and is not able to detect it. And when i try to connect the phone with Kies3 while in download mode it says that my phone is not supported by Kies3.
So im jsut being left with a temporary downloaded file. Is it possible to flash that file via Odin?

[Q] Stuck in Download Mode

Hey everyone I'm quite new to android, and I'm currently stuck in Download Mode after trying and failing to install Twrp 2.7
I was previously rooted, tried to install Twrp via Autorec, however when I ran the app it soft-bricked my phone and put me into Fastboot mode.
I followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2476972 method, and got back to Download Mode.
I am currently in the middle of returning to stock through http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 using the .TOT method.
I'm fairly close to repairing it but my only issue is that I cannot get my computer to recognize my phone. Neither in Device management nor adb devices anymore.
Therefore I cannot change the port to COM 41 to flash the .TOT file.
I constantly tried installing drivers for the phone both 3.10 and 3.08 but still no recognition can anybody help?
Some more info about the phone:
it's the D801 variant but its on Wind (Canada) not T-mobile
it was previously rooted
it did not have any recovery software installed
no roms had been flashed previously.

Boot loop, no recovery, PLEASE HELP!

I was trying to setup gltools on my phone. I choose an option to install gltools from recovery. Phone restarted and didn't boot to recovery. It bootloops since then and boots only in download mode.
I was on 6.0.1 rom and bootloader. Then I tried to flash stock rom via odin. It flashes successfully but still in bootloop. Is there any sollution? Tried to flash recovery also...Still nothing.
Any solution?

Yes. Smart Switch downloaded firmware and then stopped at 61% when updating. Don't know why. Is it possible to be marshmallow bootloader fault? I don't know if there is official MM update for my phone (SM-G920F) yet, so smart switch maybe tries to flash lollipop on marshmallow bootloader. Now I'm trying with new cable and usb port.

Hard Bricked my Galaxy S6 G920F

Hello,
I need your help because I'm in real trouble.
Before I hard bricked my phone I was on the latest version of the Tyrannus Rom.
I wanted to install Xposed but I picked the wrong version.
I flashed it but I got a boot loop.
So i've downloaded the latest stock Rom from Sammobile and tried to flash it with Odin.
Odin got an error and f*cked up my download mode.
Now I'm stuck with a bricked phone with no download mode.
I only got this message on the download mode : "Use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software."
Wich I did.
It downloaded the software and tried to install it but got an error at the begining of the instalation after the download.
After that I restarted it and the download mode was working, so I've tried again to install the stock firmware and didn't worked.
This was the error it gived me : "cm sw rev check fail device 4 binary 3"
Please help me.

Out of curiosity and sorry for jumping on your post but I've have not had any response on my thread and my device has been soft bricked for 4 days now.
How can i go about flashing my device if my PC wont recognise my phone. I've tried everything.
What is the situation you have is there any message or can you turn it on or can you recovery mod or download mod ?
Force it into download mode and do it again, worked for me

Hi so I get the message saying " an error occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC software" however i cannot get my PC to recognise my device. I have tried 6 different cables, 3 different laptops used 3 different ODIN software versions, removed kies removed and installed drivers, been into my laptop BIOS to disable 3.0 usb drivers also done this through the power saving options. Only thing I have not tried is using a 32bit computer. Surely there is a away to get my laptop to recognise this phone as i used this laptop to screw it up in the first place.
I can get it into download mode, but i cannot get it into recovery mode.
The PC shows a message saying "USB device not rocognised. The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it."

Yeah I would just flash it, my issue is it will not connect to the PC. For me to flash it or transfer any image to then internal memory i need to have the laptop recognise my device connected. If i had a removable SD card i could just put TWRP on this and go into recovery but the s6 doesnt have this feature either.
I have no idea what to do. I was hoping someone would have a resolution that i have not yet tried and could get my PC to recognise the phone connected.
does odin recognize phone is connected?

Have you tried usb otg?
Try to delete USB drivers and reboot install them again
That Binary Check problem mostly means you're trying to downgrade the firmware. Look for the latest version from fw.updato.com and flash it.

tried all the usb sockets on my computer, noting changed
When i try to power up the phone it says: " Firmware update encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Install TWRP Recovery in your Note 4 I had also this issue early. First Root your device then install twrp recovery and download Tedy Bear Rom Android 6 Marshmallow easily Available on this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...10c-h-tedybear-rom-v1-5-updated-v1-5.3768967/
