No media sound plays through headphone,But with speakers there is no problem at all. - XDA Assist

Hi, i'm using xiaomi mi5 for about three months. I have installed redefined rom for my device. For some days i'm facing a problem with my device. No media sound is playing through my speakers. Though notification sounds can be heard. The video playback is slower and gets sluggish through any media player, like mx player or vlc. But with uc browser's ucvideo plays them smoothly and sound comes through the headphones.
When i unplug the headphone videosplay smoothly without any problem.
I tried to flash stock rom through twrp, but it shows no os installed. But when i flash a custom rom, it flashes and installs the rom smoothly.
Is there any solution of this problem? Thanks.

Static sound after playing music on speakers

After playing music on speakers, and sometimes after disconnecting the headphones, I can hear a static sound coming out from the speakers. I don't know if it's a dsp manager problem or just a rom problem. Somebody with same problem? It's normal this sound to be heared for some seconds after stopping music, but not all day.
This drinks the battery very very fast.
I've kph with cranium rom.
I'm using the xxkph + cranium ROM 3.1(fix). Until now, i did not face such problem that you have. Been playing music through speakers and headphones, playing videos. No static sound. Afraid you left some steps before fully installing the custom room or cf-root.
Are you sure? Do you use the dsp manager?
Play some music on your speakers and when pausing it put your ear very close te the speaker and tell me if you don't hear it please.
I moved from froyo to xxkpm based custom rom & had this problem, found the source of the problem to be dsp manager so removed it & sound was gone. It sounded like ta, tich, ta....ta..tich. It was annoying when sitting in silent area, 1st noticed while sleeping something was making sound but could not figure out what next day I found out that speaker remains ON even when phone is not in use & it makes this funny sound.
I will flash back stock rom & test if this is indeed a problem with stock rom or custom rom.
Yes, I have the same sound. I will try removing DSP Manager. What a shame, DSP Manager is quite good, do anybody know something like it? I have PowerAMP but it has just a equalizer.

[Q] Video playback stoping every ~10min.

Hey everyone!
So I'm having this strange and annoying problem, every time I play video (let's say xvid .avi) the video stops after about 10min like it's finished playing the whole video file (goes back to menu or so). It happens with Mobo player, Mobo Video Player pro, Daroon player, MX Video player - those that I tried with. I thought maybe the CPU or GPU is overheating, but I really doubt on that, because the phone doesn't get hot, actually it gets more warm on a phone call, or when I surf the web. BTW, I don't think this problem is ROM dependent because I had this issue with the stock ROM and now I'm using the MIUI 1.11.25 ROM (Well didn't tested that on other ROM's that I tried, only those two).
So maybe somebody have the same problem and have a solution? Thanks!

[Q] Post-4.2.1 Upgrade Volume Issue

I recently upgraded to 4.2.1. I am rooted and unlocked.
Before and after the upgrade, I used MX Player to watch all my videos. I had Volume+ installed prior to the upgrade, and re-installed it after the upgrade.
However, now while Volume+ seems to work on music and other audio, it doesn't work with MX Player: even when I turn MX Player all the way up to 30, it is extremely quiet.
I know Volume+ may have some incompatibilities with 4.2.1 (incompatibilities that I didn't know about until after I upgraded, of course) but even DicePlayer's audio is soft.
I would love to stick with MX Player if there is a way to boost the volume, but I'd be up for changing players if it meant I could actually hear the audio.
Appreciate your help!

Try Audio FX, it seems to work for me. I have all the bars at full throttle and now only need to keep tablet volume at about 50%.

Music stops after a while

Hi,
I'm having a strange issue with the Mi4C and the latest stable V7.0.15.0.LXKCNCI (MIUI7).
On my way to work I listen to music and MIUI seems to be overwhelmed with this mighty task.
With default settings, Poweramp cannot even play a single Mp3 without skipping/crackling noises about every 30seconds.
While this alone is annoying enough, the music playback just stops after about 30-40 minutes. The player still displays as if it were playing, but no sound comes out..
I've tried
- allow Poweramp to Autostart and keep background processes using the MIUI settings
- setting higher priority and buffering for playback directly in Poweramp
The latter seems to resolve the skipping part, but the sudden stops are still there.
I found several threads with similar but not identical problems, the most prominent being
http://en.miui.com/thread-77248-1-1.html
Can anyone confirm this behavior?
Any workarounds?
Thanks
Jochen
I fixed it locking my music player in memory.. i just swiped down the app in multitasking (i'm on xiaomi.eu multilang rom)
yes, i can confirm on mokee, but not always. dunno why
