Static sound after playing music on speakers - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

After playing music on speakers, and sometimes after disconnecting the headphones, I can hear a static sound coming out from the speakers. I don't know if it's a dsp manager problem or just a rom problem. Somebody with same problem? It's normal this sound to be heared for some seconds after stopping music, but not all day.
This drinks the battery very very fast.
I've kph with cranium rom.

I'm using the xxkph + cranium ROM 3.1(fix). Until now, i did not face such problem that you have. Been playing music through speakers and headphones, playing videos. No static sound. Afraid you left some steps before fully installing the custom room or cf-root.

Are you sure? Do you use the dsp manager?
Play some music on your speakers and when pausing it put your ear very close te the speaker and tell me if you don't hear it please.

I moved from froyo to xxkpm based custom rom & had this problem,found the source of the problem to be dsp manager so removed it & sound was gone. It sounded like ta, tich, ta....ta..tich. It was annoying when sitting in silent area, 1st noticed while sleeping something was making sound but could not figure out what next day I found out that speaker remains ON even when phone is not in use & it makes this funny sound.
I will flash back stock rom & test if this is indeed a problem with stock rom or custom rom.

Yes, I have the same sound. I will try removing DSP Manager. What a shame, DSP Manager is quite good, do anybody know something like it? I have PowerAMP but it has just a equalizer.

[BUG] Crackling sound on calls and music, can anyone help?

Hello,
I am a proud owner of a couple Android Phones since the HTC G1, the HTC Magic and so goes on.
Now I was very excited to get the Nexus S, but on the first day of use, after making all the updates to 2.3.2 and installing all my usual apps, I noticed a crackling sound when hearing music from the speakers.
I can not find the reason of this but would like to know if someone had a problem similar to mine, and if yes, if it was possible to solve it.
There are some facts about this crackling noise that I point as follow:
- The crackling sound is not present all the times. The phone works well when playing shorts sounds like ringtones and notifications. I can hear everything crystal clear;
- When I start to hear a song (tried many different players, all the same problem), or when I am playing a game that uses constant music or sound effects, the crackling sound starts after some minutes of perfect sound (usually between 01:00 and 01:30 of good playing);
- It seems like a irregular white noise, like playing a corrupted MP3 file, that gets in the middle of the media;
- It beguns with a low volume compared to the media and gets louder as time passes, until it gets more frequent and as louder as the music playing;
- At first I thought of a broken speaker, and checked the headphones, but the crackling sound appears when listening music on both headphones and external speakers;
- Then I noticed the crackling sound appears on long voice calls too.
Well... I thought it could be something related to the software, so tried the OEM recovery process (Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset), but it was not sucessfull.
[Q] Does anyone had a problem like mine?
[Q] Could someone point what could be the cause of it or a possible solutions?
Thanks in advance.
Jon
I noticed the same thing while listening to Pandora. Not sure what's going on. I'm on Modaco and don't know if its something in there or not.
I hear the noise after about 30 minutes of pandora.
I'm having the same issue running Modaco while listening to music via Spotify.
Just got back to the stock ROM, I'll see if it's any better and keep you guys posted.
I can now confirm that stock ROM is not affected by this issue.

[Q] Tweak 2.0 audio issues

I installed Tweak 2.0 coming from stock and had serious issues with audio. I re-flashed wiping data and the problems still persisted. I am getting audio skips when listening to music and I also had bad high pitched screeching noises. The audio was just plain "flat".
I flashed back to Eclipse with AOSP apps and the music was back to crystal clear with no skipping at all and the music was back to the "full" sound I was used to. I listen to a lot of Pandora in the car as I travel frequently. I also have the voodoo sound plus app to correct the low audio gain common with Samsung phones.
I get better battery life on Tweak and would like to stay on Tweak but can not live with the audio issues I was having. Does the audio get processed by the ROM or Kernal? I am using stock kernal for both.
I can not figure out what the problem is with Tweak Rom.
You don't have dsp manager ruining as well do you. I had to uninstall it when I can from eclipse to tweaked because audio issues.

When I went to Tweak, it was a fresh install. DSP manager is included with Elclipse ROM, not Tweak. It was not even on my phone at the time.
Running Elclipse, I leave DSP manager off (all settings disabled).
Haven't heard of this one before - have you tried just using the same apks as are used in Eclipse? Audio has never been an issue, though I haven't used much beyond the play music and pandora apps myself.
Another thought - have you tried it with and without voodoo sound plus app being installed?
Hey Dwith,
No, I have not tried just the Eclipse Apps, I would not know where to start. In regards to the voodoo sound app, I can not listen to audio with my phone without it. It does not put out the correct audio output or dynamic range. The sound level is just too low without voodoo.
One would probably not notice if they are connecting the phone to a boombox or something small but when you connect it to an aplified home theater system or an aftermarket car audio system the difference between voodoo and non voodoo with the droid charge is like night and day.
I am pretty new to flashing ROM's and such so I am sorry if I can't troubleshoot this more. I was hoping maybe I was not the only one with this problem and others would chime in.
I really like Tweak but I can live with Eclipse too. They are both great ROMS.

[Q] Sound crackling?

Hello guys,
I have One S from Tmobile. I use Bluetooth to stream music to my car. My problem is there's a crackling sound in background while the music is playing. When I was unrooted, completely stock using ICS, I still had this problem but the crackling was much more toned down and didn't really interfere with the song. Now, I'm rooted and flashed Trickdroid 9.0 (Jellybean) and the crackling sound is unbearable. The music is impossible to hear now. I noticed this with all Jellybean Sense-based ROMs. It happened with Viper ROM as well. Then, I tried Baked Blackbean and the crackling sound is gone. When I go back to any Sense ROMs, the sound is back.
Now, when I'm calling via Bluetooth, there is absolutely no crackling sound. As soon as I play a song, the crackling sound is back.
Do any of you experience this? I really want to use Sense ROM, but I constantly use Bluetooth to stream music so the crackling sound is a deal breaker so I'd really appreciate your help.
Thank you for reading
Bump! Looks like nobody else has this problem. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Background noise with headphones

Hi,
I just bought a HTC One X and everything was fine until I flashed a custom rom. On stock there was no background noise when I used the headphones but after flashing a custom rom (cm11) there is a background noise whenever I hear music or when the notification sound is played. When I stop the music the noise persists for about one second. So my first thought was to switch back to stock but also there is now this annoying background noise. I think the noise came after I played with the dsp manager. Is it possible that the dsp manager damaged my hardware? Has anyone the same problem?
Thanks.

[HELP]Viper4Android glitching

So i have a galaxy s6 with ultimate nougat custom rom ( here is a link forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/samsung-galaxy-s-6--s-6-edge-unified-development/rom-ultimate-nougat-s8-port-t3681259/amp/ ) from 6 months and i have installed viper4android since then, and the issue that i am having is that when viper is active using my in over the ear headphones razer electra v2 and turn up the volume over ~70% or to 100% the sound glitches for a split second and the music stops, and volume lowers automatically to ~20 and i have to unplug and plug the headphones again,
It does not matter what app am i using to listen to music, the headphones are brand new and work perfectly fine on any other device i tried them on, at the beginig there was no problem with them and since then i haven't installed or modified my phone in any way, normal in ear head phones work without problem on any volume, i tried with my roommate's steel series headphones that he is using daily and the same thing happens when i increase the volume more than ~70%. I tried to fix this by restarting my phone several times, removing viper and installing the newest version, and searched for any similar problems that someone else might have but no clue whatsoever. I am sorry if the topic is not for this section but im desperate.
[UPDATE] I have tried different settings and i disabled my sound alive app, and it didnt work, however i noticed that rhe problem ia not in the volume but its in the bass instead. I tried to listen songs that dont have that much bass in them with viper4android on and i had no issues, but when i play songs with bass in them, then the problem occurs. Playing songs with bass and viper4android off causes no problems.
could those headphones have built in volume limiters??
I dont know, but i doubt that they have because i tried other over the ear headphones, and the result is the same
Bump?
