I have resurrection remix installed on my oneplus one phone. Today, I noticed that my phone is turned off for no reason. I tried to turn it on, bet Resurrection Remix loading screen just shows up and loads. After 15-20 minutes I noticed that my phone is very hot and it just turned off again. Now, if I hold power button I only hear vibration sound in 3-5sec intervals, it doesnt even turn on anymore. I tried to hold power button + volume down but the same thing. What can be wrong and how can I fix this? Thank you.

Is the device still heating?
If yes I suggest you to remove it from charging ASAP and let it cool for a while.

It is not charging. It turned hot when Resurrection Remix loading was going on. Now it is cold, atleast the back of it, but it still doesn't turn on. Should I wait more? And if it will turn on, how can I boot it up?

Could be a sudden bad battery issue.
Can you boot to Twrp fine?

I could, but now not, because it doesn't turn on at all (I found out that battery is 0 percent), so I will charge it and what should I do in TWRP? I do not want to loose the data, unless it would be necessary.

Internal data?
You can do a factory reset at least.

Factory reset wipes everything if done inside Android but from twrp no, also if you have backed up contacts on google account you have no reason to worry.
If the problem persists better flash the stock cyanogen os rom:good:

When I long press the power button and choose shut down it does not shut down. It restarts. If I choose shutdown a 2nd time, it will then actually shutdown
Strange, never heard of this. This is a constant trend? I suppose if I were in your shoes I'd do one of two things:
1) Factory reset
2) Use Fastboot to unlock the bootloader and then flash the factory image via fastboot again
Although, I am not sure either of these options will solve the problem they are the first two steps I would take to resolve it.
Had this once!
Happened to me a little earlier too...
I bet in every one of these cases the phone was plugged in and or charging...yes or no?
Ive had it happen to me too, but it was plugged in
The phone is still stock and it wasn't charging

Don't worry, my new N5 does exactly the same, as I just found out 10 minutes ago. Seems like a new and glorious KK 4.4 bug to me.

Mine does exactly the same! I hope it is a K4,4 bug as well.
Mine works ok and powers off
Mine does this too every time. Not plugged in to charger or anything.

mine does this once in a while also...
Mine did this the very first time I tried to shut it down after getting it on release. However it has behaved correctly ever since.
I had this yesterday as well, I'm glad I found this thread because I thought something was up with mine, hopefully they'll fix it in the next update.
can anyone that is having this frequently check whether just after one of these reboots there is a file in /proc called last_kmsg?
thanks!

It automatically turns on after I shut it off'',,'it's annoying
Long pressing the power buttton for about 10 seconds is the same as a battery pull afaik, so not sure this a bug.
the described issue happened to me a few times but I'm sure is due to the case I have - basically the power button is re-pressed and the phone turns on after being shut down. other than that never used power off too much after going custom rom - most of them have a reboot option and the phone is pretty much on 24/7.
After the 4.4.2 update, my N5 sometimes won't wake from sleep when pressing the lock button. After a few repeated attempts, it will eventually work normally. Anyone else run into this problem?

Are you on a custom or a stock ROM? If you're on stock then you may have to reflash the factory image. Most times an issue with a phone can be remedied by a factory reset.

Same problem on my original N5 and its replacement.
It could be something to do with the phone entering a deep sleep phase. Try a factory reset.

2 phones? Also my N7.
Ok, so I wanted to return my phone to stock, so I attempted the procedure posted in this thread.
However, now it won't turn on or anything. No backlight, no button lights, no anything.
Is there any way to fix this? I tried plugging it in to my computer, but it doesn't appear to show up.
I get no indication that the phone is even turning on. I think the issue is I might have accidentally flashed the wrong model but I'm sure I didn't.
I have the AT&T Nexus S which according to Google is GT-I9020T. Which is what that thread says it's for.
Any ideas? Luckily I have a backup phone, but it's not a smartphone....
Edit: I came from the CM11 nightlies, and yes, I did wipe data and cache before rebooting.
The way you say it, seems it is time to say good-bye...

Hello guys
I just finished updating my rooted Nexus 5 to 4.4.3 and it went fine but I immidiately noticed some "problems" when I turned it on. The thing is that my touch screen is not as responsive as before 4.4.3 update. On 4.4.2 scrolling was flowy and smooth like on ice, but on 4.4.3 I got big delay (half cm of emptiness) on scrolling through gesture (apps, home or anything..) and, even worse, when I'm scrolling down my Contacts list it dials randomly due to a lagging. Is there any calibration to be done or that's it?

It doesn't sound normal. Mine is working just as smooth as it was on 4.4.2. Have you tried wiping the phone? Do a factory reset and see.

issues here
my battery went from 19% to 0 over night.... in airplane mode. previously, it would only use 3-4% overnight, esp with everything turned off. almost woke up late
also, im having a hard time answering phone calls. i slide to answer, it doesnt answer but its still ringing
I noticed that there is a bunch of different problems reported last two days and I have decided to wait for Google's response on all of this mess. But I must say that my phone is working better now and somehow it heals itself )) Maybe this update is about implementing some organic components

I'm having a lot of issues with my phone.. Seems like an sd card issue. Ant app that uses memory does not work properly... Even the camera does not load...
I'm going to do a factory reset... Any way to save all settings on stock?

I also got a big issue on 4.4.3. since the update i get sponataeuos signal dropouts especially when i travel by bus or train.
It seams the radio has problems by logging out at one cell and switch to an other cell. Also the reception/signal is very weak.
Someone noticed the same? or does anybody has a tip?
thanks in advance :good:

Go to settings > apps > locate google dialer and clear cache
For battery drain, install an app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats (it's free demo version is available on XDA) or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm
Observe your device for one day after complete charge (90+) and use it.
Using that app, you'll observe the apps/wakelocks which are causing unnecessary battery drain. Eliminate them or post screenshots here so that we can help you to solve battery drain issue.

I'm guessing OP's problem is related to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2643097 but this is the first time I have heard the same for Nexus 5.
First thing to do if something is broken after an OTA is factory reset to see if it is an OS bug or whether you have incompatible data and settings.
It sounds like it would be a pain to do, but you can easily backup with helium nowadays so it needn't be

Did you flash the userdata.img? If not, your data is still there and still possibly causing the issue.
GPS not Working
Has anyone else noticed if their GPS is working or not? I was trying to use mine last night and I can see that GPS connects and it brings up the map but then never navigates or even moves from the starting point on the map. Can someone let me know if this is a new problem??? I flashed the N5_4.4.3.zip file that someone pointed me to, as I had asked for a flashable zip file to update to 4.4.3 as I still have not gotten an ota notification from T-Mobile:confused
i have a question also,
what if i like the current mono toned google dialer?
when i get this update & it updates the dialer, is it possible to un-install the dialer update to revert back to the older dialer?

Yes I did. I flashed the image with the 'flash-all.bat' method which includes it [emoji17]
My Nexus 5 is stuck in a bootloop. Each time through the loop, it gets to the Google logo, and then reboots. Each loop takes about 3-4 seconds. If I hold the correct keys to get to the bootloader, it still keeps looping, just looping to the bootloader screen, not the Google logo screen. I have tried letting go of the keys after different lengths of time, and I can never get it to stay at the bootloader, it just keeps looping.
And so, I cannot access recovery.
I should not that this is the phone's behavior while it is plugged in. If it is unplugged, it immediately ceases the bootloop and just goes completely dead, unresponsive.
Any ideas, guys?
Thanks!
If you can access the bootloader it's fixable. Flash the factory image.

Software can't stop your phone from turning on If pulling out the power button allows it to boot.
