Stuck in jio sim - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using jio sim since last 3 months. Before 2-3 days i had discovered that if i remove jio sim from slot 1 and insert other sim then the other sim doesnt detect. If i reinsert back jio then it works fine. In slot 2 all sims works. Is it true? Any one using dual sim along jio pls give a try to swipe sims, and post your results.

I tried by removing jio from sim1 slot and then inserting my Airtel sim in that slot. It detected fine. No problem in calls or using 3g data.

Sim detection slot 1 , Indian version E8

Hello Everyone,
I am facing this weird issue. Mine is a dual sim E8 and I was using Airtel provider on my sim slot 1.
The moment I landed in US and when I powered on the mobile, it was showing no signal . Till this moment I havn't changed or removed any sim card. The settings are still untouched and even the sim tray has not been removed ,airtel sim in slot one and no sim in slot 2. Later I changed the setting to manual mode , I saw a pop up displaying sim card error and "unable to find network, switch to global mode"
Then i moved the Airtel sim to slot 2 with slot one empty. It asked me to select Tmobile or ATT as partner network. I went with Tmobile as roaming partner.
I wanted a dual sim , as I was hoping to use Tmobile/ AT&T sim on slot one and keep Airtel sim on slot 2 when I reach USA.
Later , I brought a Tmobile sim and put it in slot one, same old error pop up, but it worked in slot 2 ( Edge )
I reached HTC chat , its the most horrible experience i have ever had. The moment i tell them my issue, chat window loses connection as if someone has disconnected.
Finally when I did get connect , by checking my IMEI, chat representative told me that slot one wont work for roaming as its CDMA, only slot 2 works for roaming.
I just couldnt understand this, I was using airtel GSM sim in India with 2G internet. how come an unlocked device change to cdma while roaming outside India.
Please let me know how to work on sim slot one issue. I love this mobile a lot , even if i get 2G on slot one , i will be very happy
Mobile is in stock condition purchased 2 months back, I received a factory update to 5.0 through OTA

Weird issues with Jio

Hello Friends,
I got a Jio sim and put in my S7 along with a Vodafone sim. Jio is in Sim 1 slot and Vodafone is Sim 2 slot. If both sims are on then I am not able to place any calls from the Jio sim, I can't even call a Jio number. I dial a number and that's it no dial tone no nothing. As soon as I turn off the Vodafone sim Jio works flawlessly. The internet works fine irrespective of the fact whether the 2nd sim is on or off. If I turn on both the sims and call the 2nd Vodafone sim the calls goes through, but here's the catch if I call Jio i.e. Sim 1 I get a message that your call is waiting/in queue but I am not using Sim 1 to make or receive any calls. Sim 1 is idle during this and I am getting the call on the screen. Jio Sim was in Sim 2 slot previously I swapped it but the issue is the same. We have a Moto G4 phone at home wherein Airtel is in Sim slot 1 and Jio in slot 2 but everything is working fine. What should I do?
Thanks

Second SIM - only 3G ?

I have an European model U11 Plus, Dual-SIM, 6GB, 128 GB, and just goat a second SIM card.
I see in the settings that the secons SIM can only be configured as 3G, no 4G option.
Is this true or am I missing a setting ? Was expecting both SIMs to be 4G.

you can not run both SIMs in 4G mode.
When you have two nano SIM cards inserted on your phone, only one card can connect to the faster 4G LTE network. The other card will connect to the 3G/2G network.

Indeed, what is already an improvement over the older phones who where 'stuck' on 2G only even when only the second SIM was activated (and so the first SIM disabled).
For the U11+ if you disable the first SIM automatically the second SIM will be able to work even with 4G+.
But it shouldn't matter since if two SIMs activated you can run the data over the other SIM. Unless you want to try VoLTE for your second SIM phone number.?

SIM 1 vs SIM 2 ?

Hi,
is there any particular technical reason to choose SIM 1 or SIM 2 for the sim card ?
When I bought my Oneplus 6, there were issues with 4G network when using SIM 1 port. So I am using SIM 2 from the beginning. Never tried to use SIM 1 port.
So should I continue to use SIM 2 or should I switch to SIM 1. If yes, why ?

4g not working help,,,

IN MY ONE SIM, 4g works but in other,4g does not work, both sim card of the same company and 4g works on another phone with that sim card, help please,
if i reset the phone 4g works for one day only in one sim card 1 but sim 2 work fine every time
I think that you have in sim options to choose primary sim card and data from sim card will be used. Check that settings and set up with sim card using what data settings
