[App][4.0.3+] Notify me - Notification App - Android Apps and Games

Hey,
I developed this app because I'm really an expert in forgetting stuff. I need notifications, that remind me. I know there are some of such apps in the Play Store but there are always some features missing, I'd like to have. With this app you can create Android notifications with title, description, icon, color, ...
Notify me
Here are all the features:
Set title and description of notification
Numerous settings to individualize the notification (Icon, Color, Alarm, App,...)
Daily or weekly repeating alarm
Light and Dark Theme
Numerous Action Buttons for the notification
Material Design
Share notifications
Heads-Up notifications (Android >= 21)
Notifications will be displayed on your Android Wear Smartwatch
Totally free and ad-free
Frequent app improvements based on your feedback

Where is the link man, at least provide the link as a text, when I search for the name, there seems to be a lot of apps like this.
Edit: It took me near to 10 minutes to find the app, I went through a number of notify apps, the app customization is what forced me to look into this.
Thanks anyway.

Oh damn I'm so sorry. Added the link.
Notify me

If you tried this app with Android 4.1.x and you uninstalled it because it crashed, I would be very happy if you try it out now again. There was a bug only existing for Android 4.1.x, which I did not recognized before.

I released an update because the alarm setting got used way more than expected. It is now possible to set an interval. That means if you want the notification to appear every second monday you can set the first alarm, choose "repeat daily" and instead of "every" you select "Every 14". Furthermore it is now possible to repeat the notification monthly. And if you have a greek phone you can now use this app in your language, too.
Version 1.0.16: - Advanced alarm settings (repeat monthly, intervals)
- Greek added

With the new update it is now possible to change the sound of a notification. You can set it individually for every notification or set the default in the settings.
Version 1.1.2: - You can now change the sound of a notification

Your app is very usefull. I use the notification panel a lot and I can always see my note with this application. It also has everything you need. Thank you.

Thank you! Yes that was the reason why I developed this app. I need to remember a lot of things and ToDo-Lists aren't good enough for me. I always forget to look at them.

So, due to firebase phone may not sleep affecting battery life:
Code:
- Prevent phone from sleeping: Used by Firebase Crash Tool
- Full Internet access: Used by Firebase Crash Reporting Tool
- View Network status / WiFi state: Used by Firebase Crash Reporting Tool

You are right. I never thought about that, thank you! I just removed this permission. I'll test it a bit, if everything still works (it seems so). Then I'll release the update in the next hours/days.

Thanks again for your hint m0d. I've released the update now. The WAKE_LOCK permission is not there anymore and everything still works as expected. Furthermore I changed the icon for the "permanent notification" because it looked weird on some Samsung devices.
Version 1.1.5: - Removed unnecessary permission
- changed icon in status bar

After changig the sound and the color it is now possible to change the LED color (if you have Android >= Lollipop and your device supports changing the LED color). You can decide if the LED should have the same color as the notification.
Version 1.2.5: - You can now choose in the settings, if the LED should have the same color as the background color (only for Android >= Lollipop and not every device supports this setting)
I know the color picker is not the best. I'll try to improve it in one of the next updates.

For all spanish people here. You can now use your app in your language. If you find a wrong translation you can send me an email or fix it on GitHub: https://github.com/Lars3n95/Notify-me
Or if you can speak a language fluently which is not yet existing on GitHub you can add a translation too.
Version 1.2.8: - Added spanish translation

The new color picker is available now. And you can change the snooze duration via keyboard now.
Version 1.2.14: - New color picker
- Snooze duration can now be entered as text (settings) Version

Got some new updates for you:
Version 1.2.19: - You can choose in the settings if you want to see your notifications immediately after creation, before the set alarm
Version 1.2.16: - Removed notifications are ordered differently now. Recently deleted notifications are on top
- Dialog if you want to remove all notifications

preaty neat app good work
A very nice looking app, for sure. You need to add compatibility with automatic brightness control though. Thanks.
Looks good will be checking it out!
I like it but i think i'll stick with Quick Settings from the market.
It's also free and doesnt have the 'please donate' banner on the top.
I used to have an iphone so i've been looking for an "sbsettings" equivalent for android, your app comes pretty close in that it is a grid with icons but it still lacks the ability to customize the order of the toggles. The Screen brightness toggle needs to have automatic on it somehow too. Last thing i would prefer is having a close button on the top left or right or something so we dont need to touch the physical 'back' buttons on our phones.
All in all this seems very promising, i'll check it out again after a few updates.
Part Four, in nearest time we try to add auto-brightness feature. Thanks for your feedback
PhantomRampage, thanks for your suggestions. We understand that there's Quick Settings in Market, but we need money for development. We think users will choose app that likes him. We think that Quick Settings is very cool app, but we don't like its UI, but there're more features now.

Thanks! It's nice to have speedy access to my settings from the notification bar. The app I was using before, Toggle Settings, is too bloated and worked sooo slowly. This is a MUCH better app. Thanks again.

Hi! Just installed it from Google Play on my rooted Nexus 4 (Android 4.2.2)
I have that issue, not sure if just on Nexus 4, or Jelly Bean, or what: when clicking to enable/disable service, app sends you to the Accessibility Settings page, but there's no "Notification Popup app" to enable. It's not on the list of choices.
So I can't auth the app to be one of my Accessibility Services
I've got the same problem. could you fix it please? thanks in advance

Try rebooting your phone. Had the same problem with DashClock's WhatsApp extension.
Rebooting my device did not help. Sill no settings there...
Can I Use it at sola stock rom?
that's pretty cool!
i guess its a 4.2.2 thing.. im on xenonHD 5.0 on my gnex and dont see it in my accessibility services list either
Same on my 4.2.2 cm10.1 sensation
I have the NotificationPopup option in my accessibility settings, but when I tap it to enable, it just opens another instance of the accessibility settings.
I have to go out of the app and into Settings -> Accessibility to turn it on.
However, the NotificationsPopup app still suggests that the service is not enabled.
Ehhhhh?
Note: My sig is old...I'm running 4.2.2 Xylon now with Harsh Kernel.
Same issue here with leaked 4.2.1 on GT-I9300

Same on several other such apps.
Examples: The floating music controller service.
Notification Browser app/widget.
etc.
On my Padfone 2 it worked right away on Android 4.1.2. Enable service and now wait for the first notification popup . I was waiting for an app like this long time. Thank you.
Edit: But I never eceive any notification. The service is enabled.

Update
add quick Menu for Lockscreen
add wlan connection change lockscreen security level
.
To activate the quick menu, you have to calibrate your touch size in the settings. choose a greater size with your thumb. try it..
Update
add voice commands for lockscreen.
you can unlock or start telephone or camera with your voice. this can be done after screen on at lockscreen, or with floating menu .
this is a first test. later commands are full customizeable.
Today i'm beginning with a tutorial series.
First tutorial describe the SpeakBox Lockscreen and music control. I will show you which easy settings show the orginal music control of each music app on lockscreen.
New Alpha 0.9.7.3 brings smooth Lockscreen speech control.
Speech control is activated when screen turning on. you have 5 seconds to say the command you wish.
After that speech recognition is turned off.(battery drain)
you can reactivate it with the floating menu for about 5 seconds. (press your full thumb on lockscreen to activate menu)
this time, 'unlock', 'camera', 'telephone' and 'clear all' are the available commands. more commands in a customize way coming soon.
feel free to test it and please say whats your wishes and feedback.
New main tutorial :
New Alpha 0.9.7.4
Add new function to make the Lockscreen transparent for about 5 seconds to see regular device screen.
New alpha 0.9.8.0 is a big update, speechcontrol is fully customizeable from settings. Switch views between notifications and calendar entrys and status of bluetooth and wlan are new features.
please, i would be very happy to get some feedback.

could you fix keyboard moving over submit button, when creating a reminder via quick settings. It gets annoying if you use swipe gestures
Have used other similar apps, it looks very nice and is simple enough. I agree about the keyboard position!
Question - how can I have it as high priority but not appear on the lockscreen?
Congrats and thanks

Hi there! I've pushed an update to fix the keyboard issue. You can now update to the latest version (v1.2.0).
Thanks for using my app! On the side note, can you elaborate more on your issue (High priority)?
Updated v1.2.0
- Prevent keyboard from blocking on quick settings tile on click
- Bug fixes
- Add In-App Purchase option to remove ads
Great stuff bought it last night because I don't see any ads to click on
About the priority: perhaps I didn't express myself correctly; I meant, I want the notification to be on top of other notifications, but at the same time I don't want it to appear on my lockscreen. Is this possible?
Also the little bell icon in the notification shade appears to have some noise around it? [EDIT] Ah no, it's not 'dirt', I realised it's the two little lines denoting the bell ringing
An option to repeat reminders every x no. of days would be great. Google Calendar has this feature but for some reason it's not posting any notification for over a month.

Hey everyone,
this app was published and sold for years on Google Play, until Google got too annoying with their permission restrictions and their bot removed the app. I didn't want to remove functionality so I just called it a day. Now, inspired from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, I decided to work on the app again, mainly for myself but there has been a constant stream of Mails asking me where it has gone, so I decided to republish it on some alternative App store for free (just as it once started). Long story short, I haven't found any useful alternative Appstore which is not abandoned or worse than Google Play, so here we are, trying to use this board as release home base.
Is it really me, the same developer? Yes and my updates use the same APK-Signature as on Google Play so you can check it (or just update an old version with these new ones). One note: I'm using the package name of the prior free/test version (which is now the full version). If you have bought the pro version years ago, you need to uninstall it and grab this one instead.

Changelogv3.6
Fixed the Alarm Clock functionality (which got broken by newer Android Versions)
Added the option to show an alert indicator on Always-On-Displays (which many OLED phones have, but I tested it with my Pixel 6 mostly)
Fixed the LCARS picture alert animation which was messed up on phones with a narrow display
Added Telegram implementation for third-party alerts
Some minor fixes
v3.5
It's been a while For now the full version of Red Alert is free and without any ads. Consider leaving a tip if you enjoy it.
Battery alerts now offer different battery source to monitor. For now the one additional option besides the phone battery is Daly BMS Bluetooth, which is used in some (and mine) lithium batteries you can find in RVs and so on
Removed the old voice command implementation due to its subpar recognition rate. For future versions support of google assistant is planned
Fixed the alert on snapchat implementation (more fixes coming)
Added a new alert trigger for all notifications not handled already by a third-party trigger
Advanced users: Turn on the Always-On-Display on alerts (mostly for Pixel 6), more stuff for the AoD to planned
Additional Instructions:If you want to enable the "Always-on-Display on Alert" functionality, which allows you to turn off the Always-On-Display usually but only enable it when there is an alert, you will have to use the following line in the Android Debug Tools to grant the required permission:
adb shell pm grant com.oldplanets.redalertwallpaper android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
Click to collapse
I'm not sure which phones support this function other than Pixel 6, but it requires at least Android 12.
