Logcat of crashing camera - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

I've attached a log. Interestingly when searching for "camera" I can see the following errors (amongst other things...):
- can not get key (cameracharcteristics)
- device error
- dsm_camera_user has error
Anyone with the technical knowledge what these camera errors mean!?

All the time I press the "Edit" Button, FireFox give me the option to download the php file :?: :?:  WEIRD
The address I was modifying was:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=List of HimaUpgradeUt.exe Error Code
After trying it several times, I could get inside and edit the page, then I saved it, and now is BLANK!!!!
HEEEEELLPPPP
The contets of the page at the time of my edit were:

This error is a bit misleading. The BAUpdate tool is trying to switch the phone into bootloader mode, and the phone for some reason is being uncooperative. This happens to me from time to time. The best, and quickest way around this is to force the phone into Bootloader manually. By pressing the record button, while doing a hard reset (Power + Reset) your phone will enter bootloader mode. You can verify this as the screen will say, Serial, and change to USB when you cradle it.
Once you cradle your phone, Windows will detect it as new hardware, and take a minute or two configure the right driver(Microsoft USB Sync). Once this is complete, you can run the BAUpgrade utility again, and this time you should get past error 201.

Hi,
I tried it too & have simular probs in changing any wiki page @ the moment. IMHO there's something wrong on the serverside cause the text is still present but compilation into a page fails.
Try again later is my suggestion.
Cheers, M
Yup, I thought it was a temporary problem. Moreover, I'm having the same strange behaviour in some wiki links.
For instance:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Versions
It is the first link on this page:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_FAQ_Upgrade_Radio
Thanks for your answer. I'll try later........

If the problem persists you can always pm 'peter poelman' or another moderator, maybe they can fix it.
The way it is now, we'll have a very empty wiki soon. Luckily the preview shows the same errors & peolpe should be warned by that, so as long as people don't save any changes to a page...
Luckily, I think you can allways get an older version of the page.
Cheers

FlinnyCM10.1 build 8 Framework reboot - kmesg + logcat

Today I installed Flinney's CM10.1 build 8 onto my Desire S after wiping it clean first.
I also experienced the framework reboot just now.
As I can't post in the development forums...
Please find attached my logfiles (kmesg and logcat) just after the framework reboot.
View attachment 1617416
Had another Framework reboot around 21:55... (had one yesterday and this morning, but not the possibility to grab logfiles)
Pulled a 'logcat' and 'logcat -v long' (see attached).
Found a fatal at 21:56:27... hope this helps to debug the issue more.

[GUIDE] Logcat Error Reading

Requirements:
*Catlog/Logcat app
How to read errors:
*Force close first the app you want to logcat
*Open Catlog and set the log level to error
Find/Search the AndroidRuntime then the app will show this:
E - FATAL EXCEPTION: main
E - Process: com blah blah <- The app that has error
E - java.lang.RuntimeException: NoSuchFieldError blah blah <- The error of the app
E - at blah blah(java:###) <- the smali or xml where the error occurs
(java:###) <- the .line in the smali where the error is placed
Errors I encounted as of when I started theming::cyclops::cyclops:
NoSuchMethodError - means there is a missing .method in the smali
NoSuchFieldError - means there is a missing .field in the smali
AbstractMethodError - means there is a missing Abstract method in the smali
Content.res - means wrong ID(0x7xxxxxxxx)
Unable to start activity - means the smali address it wrong or the code you declare is wrong
Note:
Not yet finished, Still thinking of the errors I encountered :v
Comment below the errors you encountered that is not stated in the guide
I will include logcat reading in porting system apps

Random reboots

I bought this used device like a month ago and for some days my phone has been randomly rebooting in every 15-30 minutes of usage.
I've tried following things:
1.Other ROMs( Lineage, Xiaomi.eu etc.)
2.Fastboot clean flash and lock.
These haven't solved my problem.
So I tried to save a log just before reboot.
The log contains a reoccurring error which says:
06-19 01:00:30.240 E/subsystem_ramdump(15079): Directory /sdcard/ramdump does not exist
06-19 01:00:30.240 E/subsystem_ramdump(15079): Unable to create /sdcard/ramdump
06-19 01:00:30.240 E/subsystem_ramdump(15079): Failed to initialize ramdump
and some other error is which is less consistent :
06-19 01:00:28.225 E/GpuMonitor(15060): fital error, can not mkdir:/sdcard/MIUI/debug_log/common, errno:13
and :
06-19 01:00:25.573 E/AudioFlinger(788): open /proc/1583/cmdline error
Is it a non fixable Hardware problem or are there any work around for this?
Did u try to flash custom kernel like BG345?
