Pipo X9S (Intel Z8300, 64G eMMC, 4GB Ram) Unbrick - Android Stick & Console Computers General

Hello everyone
my Pipo suddenly decided not to boot anymore, so I went its BIOS and mistakenly disabled USB OTG feature.
Now it refuses even to let me browse within the BIOS to restore it (can enter BIOS but keyboard's not working), sadly unplugging CMOS battery for hours did not help so it must be in NVRAM or something like that.
Tablet has Intel dnx feature (enabled pressing both volume buttons) but not micro USB connector (only 4 USB type a, one of them is blue)
Tablet also has sdcard slot.
There's any known solution to reset BIOS ?
Sadly tools like CH341A and flashing its winbond 25 chip are beyond my skills
many many thanks

Navman PXA255

Hi!
First, greetings for best forum on pda i ever seen!
Now, my problem:
i have found an old navigator from navman icn 320 with intel processor pxa255 at 200mhz, sdram 256mb from samsung K4S561632E, rom AL008D90BA102 (spansion), screen LTP283QV-F02 (samsung 240x320 i think) fits too in Eten G500.
it has a sd slot and i have soldered a mini usb on the pcb.
the navigator just works fine but it has the maps very old (2004).
the problem is: i want to install win on it. i don't want a specific version, just one that works fine.
after one week of reading various forums and sites i decided to make my question here. hope someone will give some idea.
so, if i press power on and center buttons on the screen comes this thing:
Navman icn 320 (32MB RAM)
Primary Bootloader 3.20.0003
Built on Jul 29 2005 at hour...
Insert a SD into slot...
if i put into sd slot his original sd, starts to flash and after restart.
from what i've saw on duff.dk this nav don't have a real OS.
so the problem is:
how can i rewrite the first bootloader? what do i need to make it?
if a connect the usb at winxp, it tells me there is a unknown component without drivers.
not even under linux 2.6.28-15 works. linux see this navman with
ID 0a99:0002 , and it's stops. if i load navman module, it will load too usbserial-generic and it will say registered new interface for navman.
and that's all what i can do. on duff.dk says: on this nav only read it's possible.
if i will press power on and ok buttons, comes out a menu with various options - test lcd, sound and so on. the last option it say X Enable usb debug.
if enabled this option, with usb cable connected when turn on the power will come out for one second this:
Navman icn 320
Bootloader 3.24.1012 built on jul 29 2005 hour.....
Debug out USB detected
Switch off permanently from the maintenance menu
Press ESC now to cancel (NORMAL debug output)
if the debug it's disabled when connected to usb of the computer the nav will load the splash screen and after that hangs. otherwise, without usb cable loads the splash screen and goes ahead to search the maps on sd.
so, can i write the first bootloader in some way? can i backup the first bootloader in some way?
i'm disposed to sacrifice this navman and to waste about 100 euro to understand and make writing of the bootloader. where, which one bl, which interface i need an so on.
i need to know if it's possible to load the first bootloader from sd or usb, and if not which interface i need to do it (jtag maybe, if yes, which one).
i hope someone here will help me with some idea.
escuse my poor english.
thanks

[Q] RT RECOVERY, NO recovery, NO USB BOOT

OK...First I have a surface RT.. It is a colleges tablet as I am a network admin at a telecom company..
I have never seen anything other than the surface logo with no "spinning wheel"
I have tried the 3 reboots, booting normally on the 4th...volume up and power for days .....the keyboard boot options (backspace, win key +everything, F8, F11 for the hell of it..) I tried holding down in different sequences every possible combination with power, volume up/down and the windows soft key (onthe tablet)
I have created USB's with a kingston 16GB, a sandisk 8GB, sandisk cruzer 16GB, a USB3 128GB, and a micro 32GB card in a USB adapter. I extrated 2 different zip files to them all after formatting fat32, using diskpart to make the part active. both oft these compressed files were from microsoft that I downloaded after registering the device.
I tried formatting the sticks with a USB format tool as opposed to win 8. I tried 2 other compressed recovery images I found elsewhere. Furthermore I I attempted 2 different ISO files and 2 different IMG fliles using rufus, usbit, and universal USB installer...both 8.0 and 8.1 recovery images/ISO's/ZIPS. At first I observed the access light on the USB Drives blink once right after booting but now no light at all...for the hell of it I even tried to connect it to a win 8.1 machine via 2 different USB-USB cables I had.
Please advise if there are any other options?? and do you want me to post the video of me smashing this POS in this thread?
thank you for your time...
Just to make sure, the bootable USB drives were GPT partition scheme formatted, right?
Go to a Microsoft store. Seems like a hardware defect if you cannot boot off of a USB stick.
Ok no expert here. I just bought a used SP2 I5-4300u and downloaded Ms recovery disk. One USB I made would not boot on the tablet.. another would only get to 70-80% quit. The last one just an old usb2 8g and it worked flawless.
I have a usb3 and it works on 3 computers at home.. it will NOT boot on this tablet where others will. So it might just be your usb nothing else.. maybe

I have a Surface RT running both 8 & 8.1 and it does the same as yours with the ignoring of the boot selection.
Has anyone found a fix to this yet?

Prixton PC02 Tablet, Windows 10, Black Screen

Hello everyone
I have a Prixton PC02 Windows 10 tablet (and bluetooth keyboard), Windows 10 asked me to update it and I said no then the tablet went crazy, now when I boot the tablet up it shows the Prixton logo then the screen stays black (but with brightness so I can still see it is on). With the screen black if I press the touchscreen I can slightly see the cursor and a blue loading circle.
I have tried a few solutions to get Windows 10 to load normally which are:
1- Drain the battery completely with it on the black screen and then charge and restart
2- Use the Windows 10 USB recovery.
Now, with the USB plugged into an adapter into the tablets micro USB slot, the tablet loaded from the USB drive, once in the recovery menu I tried to diagnose and fix problems with the boot of Windows, it shown as attempting repairs and then after a while it gave me a message saying that it cannot be repaired.
Another option I tried was resetting the device, this starts to work up to 2% then it boots me back to the recovery menu.
Now the tablet won't load the USB at all
Just wondering if anyone knows of any other possible solutions? And thanks if you do
Later I will buy a MicroSD card to see if I can boot from that.
Tablet details:
Touchscreen: 7" 1024x600 TN

[help] laptop usb camera and bluetooth not working

Its general here so i think i can ask this kind of things so ,I m an IT guy that has run out of ideas. I would like to ask you some questions about a (probably hardware realted) problem that i have. All started suddenly , from one day to another all usb ports, camera and bluetooth stoped working. I dont really care about the bluetooth and the camera, the only thing i care about are the usb ports. I 've checked them with a multimeter (only the pins that provide power) and the strange thing is that they do provide power. If i connect something like a usb flash drive , the led flashes (stays on , doesnt flickers) but nothing happens. I am sure that's not a drivers problem because the laptop doesnt even recognize them in UEFI nor CSM. My UEFI does not have an option to completely disable usb ports, only to change from usb 2 to 3 (no change at all). I m sure it's now a power problem, i ve reseted the bios even by the motherboard jumper. So the question is , what it may be? is it a motherboard malfuction ? Can it be fixed? Also , is there any possibility that for example the camera is faulty , or the camera cable , and shortcutting something? (i mean if i disconnect the camera and the bluetooth, is there any possibility that it will be fixed? ) thanks in advance.
p.s. also on the motherboard there isnt anything strange like a blown up resistor or something.
laptop - toshiba satellite c50-b-14h
intel celeron n2830
2gb ram
thanks in advance

Bricked Allview Wi901N windows 10 tablet

Hello,
i have a big problem with an Allview windows 10 tablet, during windows 10 reset i got a blue screen and my tablet got stuck into a boot loop restarting after windows logo appears. It didnt boot from windows usb stick that i made with rufus in multiple ways with different settings and when i was trying to get it boot from usb i accidentally disabled XHCI or EHCI from bios ,the attached keyboard does not respond, otg cable connected keyboard does not respond, touch not working.
Any solution will be greatly appreciated,
Thank you.
The only option I can suggest is to open it up, desodder the battery (as it's soldered to the motherboard). Wait for a couple of minutes (maybe even hours) and then solder the battery back in and see if the BIOS has been reset.
This may work similarly to taking out the CMOS battery and putting it back in.
I can provide you with this info as I've just stumbled upon your post having the same issue as you. I haven't yet tried this method as I don't have the tools required to desolder the battery right now but I'll post an update as soon as I can to let you know if it worked.
There's also a debug header available on the board but no resources online on how to use it.
