Yesterday, mi phone suddenly became rebooting all day. I cannot enter into twrp, it enters in the recovery menu but then it reboots again. It has been rebooting since yesterday until now without stopping.
Waiting for your help.
[SOLVED] It was a problem of the power button flex, it costs 5$ in Ebay. It isn't very difficult changing it.
I got this issue, my phone just came into a boot lop... I fixed with fastboot.
Install ADB + Fasboot on your pc and get it ready.
Connect you phone by usb
Press vol down + power to enter in fastboot mode.
In fasboot mode type "fastboot erase cache" to clear cache.
Good luck
This also happened to me 2 weeks ago random. It rebooted even in Recovery mode and Fastboot, so couldn't flash it.
Turned out the inside of the power button was stuck, so I pressed the button a few times quickly. The inside of the button came loose and the rebooting stopped.
Now I don't use the power button. I use the volume buttons to wake the phone and double tap the home button to sleep.

Yes, that was the problem. I bought the power button flex in Ebay (5$), and I changed it manually. Thank you for your answer! :good:
Hi, I had the bootloop on my MI4, this time clearing cache worked fine as JesusIg123 said. Thanks!

So I did a factory reset, the tab rebooted to wipe the device, went to nvidia logo then screen went black, shuts off automatically and I can turn back on just for it to get right past the logo and shut off again, I've tried volume up with power and volume down and same thing happens. Sometimes the power won't even turn it back on for 5-10 minutes. Any suggestions?

Dumb question, but are you sure the battery is charged? I would leave it plugged in for awhile and try again. Then if it still is not booting try to enter download mode while connected to PC. Mine did something similar to this once when I did a factory reset as well. It only recovered after connecting USB to my PC.
I'm guessing you have custom recovery installed?
1. Download the factory image from NVIDIA website (specific to your device version),
2. Go into fastboot by pressing volume down and give a slight nudge to the power button (don't press until the logo comes up, just a quick nudge will do)
3. Unlock your bootloader using the instruction which can be found on this forum (if you have, skip this step) sorry I'm on mobile phone, so a bit hard to do a search for the link with small screen.
4. Unzip the recovery image zip file.
4. While still in fastboot, flash the recovery images using flash-all.bat contained in the unzipped folder.
You will lose your custom recovery and your root, but since you were gonna wipe your device anyway.. let me know if you're stuck somewhere.
I think i might have found fix....
Shut down the device with long press (8sec) Power button
Press and hold Vol down key
Press and release Power key
Device enters fastboot mode
Select Recovery mode option (using Vol up/down for navigation and power key to select)
Device enters recovery mode (after showing NVIDIA boot logo) with Android Robot screen.
Press and release Vol UP + Power button simultaneously
Then select wipe data/factory reset with Vol up/down key to navigate and power key to select
try this but be PATIENT AND wait for it to say erasing then i think ill be normal once its done also just wait with it on the "blank screen" we could have just got ahed of are selves and whent to conclusions and thought it was bricked
After trying to flash a TBO calendar/calculator inverted app I rebooted from recovery only to now be stuck in a bootloop. The only thing the phone will do is begin to reboot itself if I press all three buttons to "hard restart". (power+vol up+vol dwn). Tried using adb/fastboot to reboot into recovery or bootloader but I don't think that the phone is far enough into the boot process to be recognized by adb/fastboot because typing adb reboot-bootloader just returns "waiting on devices". I have also tried to use power+ vol dwn combo to reboot to bootloader. I have noticed that this only works for stock and other certain ROM's. It's a hit and miss as to why this occurs.
So right now I am stuck in a perpetual bootloop with no way to get to recovery or bootloader. I don't know of any other way of getting into recovery to restore a nanroid. Any one have a good suggestion? Please!
The combination of power + volume up (for like 10 or so seconds) will force a reboot. As SOON as it reboots you just need to hold volume down to get into bootloader.

I'm having the same exact problem, I figured out the volume up + power, turns the phone back on in a hardboot. But, exactly how long do you need to hold the volume down button for once it's rebooting?? I just got a replacement phone on 9/24, my previous phone had no problem with this & had the option of fast boot in the settings. Just rebooting my phone takes FOREVER to turn on (or so it seems in comparison). Any idea how or why this is now? Is it due to an update, can I uninstall the update to go back to a fast start setting?? Thanks!!

When you hold the volume down button are you also holding the power button? You need to use volume up + power to restart. Then, when it restarts, immediately hold volume down without letting up on the power button. Needs to be volume down + power to boot into hboot. As for now long do you hold it, until it boots to hboot.
Thanks for the info...
Thanks for more details I'm pretty sure I did let up on the power button thinking it was keeping it from loading. I'll try this out now!!!
I dropped my phone recently and the power button broke since then
It is now turned off due to power drainage
I have searched for solutions and had successfully reboot it with adb reboot while it was still on a few days ago
but now as it is off adb can't recognize my phone anymore
I've also tried to boot into download mode but i can't select the "reboot" option as my power button doesn't work
fixing it by sending it back to htc would not be a solution as it would wipe my phone
any ideas?
Hello,
My phone went into bootloop and I cannot do anything to open it. I cannot connect it to the computer or wipe all data from the phone. I have never done aything on it and the bootloop happened while i was sleeping. Woke up to find that the phone is constantly rebooting. Also the phone does not stay in fast boot mode. I managed to open the recovery mode and select wipe all data but the process interrupts and the phone reboots again. I also think that the power button might have a problem because when i only press the volume down button the device enters fast boot mode. Thanks in any help
Your power button may have been stuck. Try to press it harder or from one end.

I have opened to phone to see that the power button was indeed stuck. Had to jam a piece of paper there to make it stop for now.
Install the Recovery ROM with MiPCSuite.
Hello, today my xiaomi phone just stopped working. In the morning when i checked my phone it was all good, but then when i checked it like half an hour after, it wont unlock, i tried the power button, 2tap, fingerprint reader, nothing. My notification led was flashing as so i had some notofications so i knew it wasnt completely dead so i jsut hold power button to restart my phone. Now is where the trouble begins. It only shows "redmi" logo and wont start it got stuck in boot. I tried fastboot its changes to it but nothing can be done. I tried to hard reset it thru holding power button and volume button up together but it just restart again. I cant switch thw phone off nor i can switch it on it just loops there in boot and nothing can be done. So my question is is here someone who had similiar problem and fixit. If yes please tell me how.
Thank you all in advance.

Hi, I recommend you first of all back up your data if still possible.
Then, reboot into fastboot.
-fastboot erase system
- fastboot erase cache
- fastboot erase userdata
-fastboot erase recovery.
Then clean flash a rom.
