Phone turned off with broken power button - One (ME) General

I dropped my phone recently and the power button broke since then
It is now turned off due to power drainage
I have searched for solutions and had successfully reboot it with adb reboot while it was still on a few days ago
but now as it is off adb can't recognize my phone anymore
I've also tried to boot into download mode but i can't select the "reboot" option as my power button doesn't work
fixing it by sending it back to htc would not be a solution as it would wipe my phone
any ideas?

[Q] Phone starts in BootLoader/Fastboot mode

Hi
I have been helping a friend repair their phone after it got water damaged
THe battery has been replaced and the phone boots and can go into Android
I have since Unlocked the bootloader
Installed TWRP
Rooted it
Installed a Cusom Rom
And installed a Custom Kernel with no issue.
So In my eyes this Phone is 100% working
The Problem i am stuck with is that whenever the phone is turned on it goes straight into the Bootloader screen and the Option bit on the top (Start, Recovery, Reboot BootLoader and Power off)
Constantly scrolls through each option as though the volume key is being pressed
if i press the power button as each option appears the phone will boot into the option i have chosen
While in Android all the buttons work correctly.
Vol up and Down and the power either going to sleep or bringing up the power menu.
Any ideas would be a great help
Probably HW related, but not sure

[Problem] Propably soft bricked my nexus 5

Hi guys,
Today I've decied to upgrade my nexus 5 from 5.0.2 to 5.1 . Wanted to do it quickly ( ofc did a full backu and got it on pc ). But accidently wiped my whole sd card. So i thought "okay i still can do it easly since my pc does have all adb drivers and everythign working properly". So I used thsi feature in TWRP called adb sideload. Tried to sideload this nexus 5 5.1 ROM update.zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/rom-n5-l-developer-preview-t2796003 ) But when it reached 11% it just wouldnt go any further. So I decided to stop it and maybe just adb push my rom file on to my device. So after holding down the power button for 10 secs. it rebooted. But now when I try to press vol down+ power it just reboots back into "google" screen logo same when i hold vol up + power. When I ve tried to hold vol down+ vol up + power it just showed black screen and my windows started to search for QHSUB_BULK drivers. So after he didnt find anything I just rebooted and now I am back on Google logo. Can you help me?
Now i tried once again to enter into recovery mode so I hold down vol down+ vol up + power button and when i turned down i just stoped holding power button and now the phone does not wake up after holding power button.
Okay managed to get it once again back on google logo screen. Now I am just gona wait for you to help me instaed on messing and experimenting around.
Well, people say that you learn on mistakes. I don't. While waiting for the answer here flicked through my old topci ( like 1 year ago ) when I did pretty similar thing to my phone. And the old solution did its work here aswell. So nevermidn my problem. Right now I am in fastboot mode and downloading newest stock images from google site.
Be careful, and update only with google factory images or ota. This is the safest way.

e8 black screen after xposed update and soft reboot

Hey there, I have a rooted HTC e8 with TWRP-Recovery and xposed + xprivacy installed. Everything worked fine until some days ago I got a notification from xposed to restart due to an update (might be 54->58 but I can't 100% remember). So I touched the notification and got to the xposed menu where the different restart buttons are. I used software reboot (might have been an error :crying and the screen went black. Thats what always happens, but the problem is that now my phone doesn't boot back up (at least I guess so). What ever I do (hold power for a short/long time, power and -) nothing seems to work. If I connect it via usb adb devices sees a device, but adb reboot doesn't seem to do anything either.
What happened? How do I get my phone back to where it was before?
Some help would be great!

you mean you can't boot your phone ?
if you can
press the power button
once htc screen appear click " - " button untill it boots
this puts your device in safe mode
try to remove xposed or the module you have installed lately
I think your e8 is soft bricked. First your power on your phone by pressing power button, then as soon as htc logo appears, you press power and volume down button together to go to bootloader screen. From there you can enter TWRP by selecting recovery menu. After that you can try to restore backup for system or can do a complete restore also.
Hope that helps.
A little late, but my problem was actually a battery problem. I found it somewhere online. There is a key combination (up + down + power I think it was) that you can press to recalibrate your battery. That helped.

Bootloop on Mi4w

Yesterday, mi phone suddenly became rebooting all day. I cannot enter into twrp, it enters in the recovery menu but then it reboots again. It has been rebooting since yesterday until now without stopping.
Waiting for your help.
[SOLVED] It was a problem of the power button flex, it costs 5$ in Ebay. It isn't very difficult changing it.
I got this issue, my phone just came into a boot lop... I fixed with fastboot.
Install ADB + Fasboot on your pc and get it ready.
Connect you phone by usb
Press vol down + power to enter in fastboot mode.
In fasboot mode type "fastboot erase cache" to clear cache.
Good luck
This also happened to me 2 weeks ago random. It rebooted even in Recovery mode and Fastboot, so couldn't flash it.
Turned out the inside of the power button was stuck, so I pressed the button a few times quickly. The inside of the button came loose and the rebooting stopped.
Now I don't use the power button. I use the volume buttons to wake the phone and double tap the home button to sleep.

Yes, that was the problem. I bought the power button flex in Ebay (5$), and I changed it manually. Thank you for your answer! :good:
Hi, I had the bootloop on my MI4, this time clearing cache worked fine as JesusIg123 said. Thanks!

How to get a phone into recovery mode without unlocking it, with pc

Hello Guys/Ladies
I own a oppo neo 7 (a33f) . I messed up my phone by replacing some files at root/system/bin . After replacing the files suddenly the screen of the phone started flashing (it turns on then goes black repeatedly) and also I am not able to press anything on screen.
And now where the real problem begins ,
this phone is so old that it doesn't have volume up volume down or power button (all physically broken)
and the battery got dead :crying: I tried using different things to press the buttons so I can make it into recovey mode (I can still press the volume buttons using pin but no chance with power key ) but still no chance.
Is there any way to make it boot into recovery mode without using the power button and yes I have a working pc with adb and platform tools but the phone is locked so adb prints "unauthorized device" I cant even turn on the device. I tried plugging it in charger and it works, the charging animation shows.
I have the stock rom that I can flash, I am not able get into recovery without power key.
Please help!
Thanks, in advance.
