Hello ladies and gents,
We have developed Riilo, an app which (we hope) will create a new way of interaction between individuals. The idea is to allow anybody, to reach any location on Earth, and interact with people from that specific place.
For example, Riilo allows anyone, no matter where they are, to talk to people who are in Times Square, New York, or who pass by Times Square.
Similarly, Riilo enables one to interact with local people and find useful information, just by asking. For example, if one wonders whether the local groceries store still has a particular product, he/she can just ask people who are at the store right now.
We are in the very beginning and we need feedback on the concept, as well as the app itself. It would be greatly appreciated, if you joined Riilo Beta Community on Google Plus (just search Riilo Beta on g+). Once joined, please follow instructions on how to download the app from Google Play.
Our little app is quite easy to use too; here is how it goes (refer to the attached image):
1. The user on the left (with nexus 5) taps the map at the Eiffel Tower and asks what the fox says
2. People from around the Eiffel Tower can see the post
3. Somebody from around that location (the user with HTC on X) will reply to the post
This is how Riilo aims to bring the world closer together, by giving individuals the power to reach the entire World!

Based on the feedback we received so far, we will be working over the weekend and will release an update late Sunday, or early next week.

New Update
A fresh update is now available on Google Play. We have fixed a few things and done minor improvements.
The NEW thing: on the map, you can now see some silhouettes. They are meant to show in which areas there are users or where users have been. As more and more users install the app, and the more the app is used, the more silhouettes will be shown on the map.
Nonetheless, you should still post to places that have no users shown on the map; even if the app shows there are no users in that place, people could still have the information you seek, and so they will be able to help.

Unfortunately you cannot add images, videos or audio files yet. They will come, although it will take a while as it does require quite a lot of work.

System app converter is currently not supported by few android versions. We are working on it and will update once added more android versions support. Please let us know your device model number and android version if it is not working on your device.

New features and design changes
Fellow XDA members, I've updated the app to include lots of new features.
The new Feeds is a unique feature that allows you to post your thoughts and opinions without sharing your identity. Your post will be deleted in 48 hours as well as any linkage to it. People can follow you and they have no idea who they are following and you don't know who is following you. The idea is to follow context not people. If you like what someone is saying you follow them.
Lots of design changes and bug fixes from the previous versions as well as sharing functions and a lot more control to help you decide what notifications are important to you.

Nice job... I'm looking for apps to add/replace CM stuff to get my ROM a little bit more clean and without thing like Gallery2 which is ICS based and the icon looks ugly in Lollipop. I would take your app in my work if it had the SMS support. I'll subscribe to the thread.

When you say add color do you mean on posts each person will have their own color when they write? When ever they comment on that particular thread they will have that color. So you can track who said what?

Permissions
The app requires permission for the phone so it can launch the phone dialer with a number already entered in it for the safety plan portion of the application. This app looks very nice. I bet it's a very useful. I would need and love to use it, but unfortunately it's unavailable in Romania, Europe. I hope you will add support for more countries in the future. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Sorry for the late feedback. I ve just discovered it.
I m giving it a try and i m very happy with it. The app is lightweight and stable. Since Maki app was discountinued, i tried many apps like Folio, hootsuite, metal... hermit is for me the the only one that suits to my needs. Otherwise, many reddit users advise it.
The web monitor option is the only thing i can t manage to understand. Indeed, i looking for how to receive alerts notifications on xda for example and it is a pain because i don t know the css language despit reading the help page one the hermit website.
I continue to investigate and i think i m not the only one in this case. If i find the right way to obtain notification inside hermit, i will back to give the solution.
If you have some specific questions, don t hesitate. I will be glad to give you my feedback.
