Unable to update prl and profile on sprint

So after rooting my.nexus s I forgot to update my profile and prl, now I was waiting for a call and never got it but apperently the phone is.not receiving calls, those anyone know if it has to do with rooting? Data works fine I think.is weird cause I root a few evos and never had this problem but to update prl and profile it looks like the nexus call some weird number

Nvm guys is sprint messing up now is on roaming and never had it at home and I know is sprint cause my wife just got home and her phone is roaming to and I haven't done anything to hers and she.never had roaming in the last year

I have the same issue and I am not roaming. I have tried Rooted and Unrooted. I personally think it is a Sprint issue as you suggest but I also think it is a Qualcom/Samsung issue. I have a new one coming in tomorrow. If it exhibits the same behavior I will wait it out.

Yeah probably roaming when away at home and I still wasn't sole to update, I updated my wife's phone no problem tho so idk I ma keep trying in different places today while I'm at work

Try *#*#786#*#* then hit reset. It will ask for msl.
I wasnt able to update either but this fixed it

[Q] Nexus S cant get telco line

hi guys,
I have some trouble here, which needs kinda urgent attention. My Nexus S suddenly cant get any lines for telco, which make me unable to make any phone call. It's weird as this suddenly happened and i have no idea what's going on. Previously my phone was working perfectly! I have checked that airplane mode is always turned off. I also tried to re-flash my rom to another rom but same thing happened. Is there any problem with my phone? or is it broken already

Update made internet fail..

I updated everything successfully and on 2.3.3, activated the phone correctly...have 3g signal... but the internet is not working...not too sure what could be the problem.... took out the sim card and the internet worked but my phone battery died then after I charged it a little the internet wasn't working again....I have no idea

Update, I believe it is the latest ota available, its my sisters phone and I don't have access to it right now, but here are some more symptoms...she factory reset it, still didn't work... took it to the Verizon store they said they couldn't help her and also factory reset with no resolution....the 3g is supposedly not coming up in the status bar but she said when it does the internet does work but while she was using it it all of the sudden restarted when she was using the internet and when it came back on the internet stopped working again...can't figure out what it could be...she is connected with the network but why wouldn't 3g work..is there a way to change vpns or something to help

[Q] Only able to load google pages while tethering.

I wasn't sure where to post this but here goes. This may sound strange, but I have have been using wifi tether router paid version for problably 2 or more years on an s3 with sprint at first and now on a metropcs lg L70 for the last few months, and it has always functioned perfectly. Out of nowhere this morning it started acting really strange and now I can only load Google sites and YouTube. If I try to click on a link leading outside of Google it times out this happens with my laptop, tablet, and tethered to my extra phone, however it hasn't affected browsing on the phone itself, only devices tethered to it. I have no idea how to fix this

I have this same problem with MetroPCS and the L70 on my Chromebook. I can tell when the problem occurs because the Wifi symbol doesn't show an ! mark saying that I need to login to the tethering portal. Haven't figured out how to fix it, I usually play with settings on Wifi Tether Router and reboot my phone/chromebook until it starts working again. Would love to figure out the root cause as well.

During Call issues

Hi everyone
The HM9 a rock device But
I have an issues during the call!!
The call get disconnected many time during call
I have tried to change the cellular type from 2G to 3G to 4G even to auto type but same results I'm getting
I have tried to restart the phone many times and even i have to pull out the sim card and insert it bu again Same results the phone kept disconnected like crazy ??
Please any help

Are you using wifi+? I do and I wonder if its caused by automatic switching between wifi and network?

I'm wondering that myself. A family member has a P9 Lite and it also occasionally disconnects during calls. It has wifi+ enabled. Maybe it does more harm than good.

I'll turn it off and see if that stops it... I certainly don't have the issue when no wifi is available

Maybe try with carrier aggregation off.

The call gets disconnected either I'm on WiFi or not
Same issue happened to my friend using same phone
The issue still exists please do I need to return back my phone or what should I do

I have tried both options either its off or on
But same issue exists

You might just need a new sim. I had a dodgy ee sim I transferred from one phone but the new phone didn't like it and caused similar issues. I had to change it twice before it was OK.
