Xperia XZ and Gear S3 - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

I've been having a hell of a time with my Gear S3, ever since I got the XZ I've had some flakiness in it's connection stability, but it's always been able to reconnect. Now, for whatever god forsaken reason I can't get it to connect at all no matter what I do, while my Xperia Z3 had *zero* issues with my Gear S3.
I've tried multiple resets and app reinstalls to no avail, and I've made a video to detail this a bit, if anyone has any ideas at all, please let me know.

I am having the same problem is your Xperia 7.0 Nougat? Got it to work once - but have lost the connect, and now wont connect no matter what...

same problem here as well

Z3 and Android Wear Connectivity

I am having trouble getting my Z3 to connect to my G watch. I am guessing this is because of Throw, but I'm not 100% on that. I have the D6616 and it is all stock. I have the Android Wear app installed, and I tried to connect the watch in the same way that I did with my LG G3, but it fails to connect every time. Any help is appreciated.
Have you reset your watch? I've been changing phones a lot since I got my Moto 360 and only thing that works fine every time is just resetting the watch before I connect it to other phone. I know that with the new Update it's suppose to allow multiple phones connection but it hasn't worked for me as expected when I try to do it that way.

I had to reset the watch to get it to connect, and for good measure made sure bluetooth discovery was on (and the Moto 360 is not already paired).
Thanks guys. That was it. I feel dumb for thinking about resetting the watch, but then not actually doing it.

[Q] Will the Note Edge work with the Gear S?

Just got my Note Edge yesterday and I love it. But I can't get it to work with my Gear S watch? Very frustrating and I can't figure it out unless they just aren't compatible. Can anyone help?
I have a Note Edge paired with the Gear S that works great. I can use the Gear S via Bluetooth or cell. When you said that you just got the Edge, it makes me think that this Gear was set up with another phone prior to the Edge. If so, you'd have to factory reset the Gear.
My Gear Neo 2 is really finicky with the Edge. I think it is the flakey bluetooth on the entire Note 4 line. Every once in a while (maybe twice a week or more), I have to restart the watch to get it to talk to the phone again. I am totally awaiting the official Lollipop update for my Verizon variant as there are a large number of bluetooth changes in it. I am getting a bit concerned that Lollipop doesn't appear to be on the immediate radar for Verizon now that the S6 is out there
Anyway, I would try and factory reset the watch and start the connection process over. A bit inconvenient but I bet it will work.
i've got both and they're work very well. the bluetooth connection is stable and the reconnection after a disconnect is very fast. i see no trouble

Xperia Z5, Marshmallow, Bluetooth problems...

I've found a few similar threads but nothing that really describes my issue.
I have an LG Soundbar, model NB3540, which has bluetooth connectivity. I have an older iPhone 4S and recently had an iPhone 6, both of which connected to this soundbar without issue and played the music flawlessly. I decided to take the plunge into Android as I really don't suffer from brand loyalty and the latest iPhone, the 6S, didn't have anything new that meant I would stick to Apple. I'm now starting to regret it.
When connected to the soundbar via bluetooth the Xperia Z5 intermittently cuts out. The sound emanating from the soundbar stops for a second, but the music doesn't appear to have actually stopped playing. When the sound cuts back in the song has progressed. It did this on Lollipop, and I've tried disabling various services through ADB in an effort to resolve the issue, but now I'm on Marshmallow and the problem persists. Sony's less than useful response was "we only support using the phone with other Sony products". I challenged them on this and stated that they should support bluetooth connectivity, but the response was a stock one and simply told me to rebuild the phone using PC Companion. I'd already done so, to no avail.
Does anybody else experience this problem?
Are there any steps I can take to diagnose the issue? I am comfortable using ADB to execute shell commands, but I'm no developer. I wouldn't really have a clue what I am doing without help.
Thanks for any help.

Xperia XZ + Bose soundsport(apple) = a problem?

Hey guys,
This is gonna be a long question because I have a very weird problem.
When I first got the phone, and plugged in the Bose soundsport earphones to see how it would sound (before even downloading any 3dr party apps), the earphones didn't work as they are supposed to.
The phone recognizes the plug in, displays it with the pop-up thing in the notification bar. And everything works perfectly, for about 5 seconds. And then, the notification disappears and the sound output switches to the main speakers of the phone.
I had this problem on the first day, for about a few hours. And then it resolved itself spontaneously, and I never had any issue again, for about two and a half weeks. Now the phone started doing the same again.
I called Xperia support, and we agreed that the problem is very weird and probably a software problem. Since I have been using the same earphones on my Xperia Z3 and also all other earphones do get recognized on the Xperia XZ. Even after doing the hard-reset with the xperia companion software, the problem still didn't resolve. Also, Xperia support tells me that since they can't reproduce this problem once i send it to them, they will even charge me for it without helping me.
And having the bad luck I always have, the policy of my provider to bring back the phone because I don't like it, is over.
Sony support tells me to ask Bose, and Bose tells me to ask Sony what I can do to solve this.
Does anyone have any experience with a problem like this.
And would it be a solution just to change some things in the software, I seriously don't know what to do anymore.....
I have the bose soundsport and no issues at all. Works perfectly fine.
Might be a rouge app causing issues?

I checked if anything third party influenced it.
By removing SD and formatting phone, didnt resolve man.
I'm truly at a loss here...

Gear S2 pairing with Google Pixel

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for your help. I've searched and searched on this site and all over the internet to no avail. If you can help me, I'd be most appreciative!
First off, I have basic knowledge of this stuff with the help of tutorials, but am not even close to being fluent in it. That said, I had my gear s2 paired with my old Note 4 a few years ago. Last year, I bought a Pixel on Black Friday and found a way to root the watch and put Android Wear on it so that it would work with the Pixel. It worked fine for over a year. Recently, it was giving me problems, every few seconds crashing saying Google Services were not working. I factory reset the watch and it is now fresh with Android Wear on it. However, it will not find my phone and vice versa to connect them.
I told it to "forget" my phone and repair, even uninstalled Android Wear on my phone and reinstalled it, and nothing. The BT function of both my phone and watch work fine, as they are able to find other BT devices near them, just not each other.
Anybody have any ideas? It's driving me crazy. Thanks!

How did you manage to get Android Wear on this watch? Are we talking about the regular gear S2 or the classic?
