Ok, feel pretty stupid for doing this but I have managed to lock down my S7 completely (created a profile in the MDM, unticked EVERYTHING) and then applied to my device ...
So, my problem now is this:
- I can't do ANYTHING with the phone other than turn on and access the apps already installed.
- I can't use the home or back buttons and I can't turn it off.
So, push an updated profile without the restrictions - simple ... no, as the WiFi and Data is disabled so the phone can't pick up the new profile.
For some reason, to make matters worse I can not get into download mode so Odin flash seems to be out of the question. Oddly I can get into the recovery menu but guessing there is nothing I can do from there?
Need your help / suggestions please, and yes I know it was stupid so not looking for ridecule

only stupid or dumb questions are the ones not asked. stupidity or not I don't know what mdm is
but out of curiosity in factory recovery menu have to tried a full factory reset???
should wipe out most if not all settings and data ofcoarse other than encryptions on device.
MDM - Mobile Device Management and in this case, Airwatch.
Factory reset is a no go, as the MDM prevents that through recovery. Unable to access download mode so can't flash with Odin.
Basically, Airwatch have advised there is nothing that can be done. That being the case I find it incredible that the s/w would allow the action in the first place. I would expect them to have some tool to remove the MDM software at a low level via install from SD card in recovery or something (after authentication) but no, no such thing.
Have you tried the usb jig to get into download mode?

I don't have a jig (last time I used one was with the Galaxy S2)!
I have tried the Samsung 300k tool with no joy.

I don't know anything about this MDM, but I don't see how it could lock your phone from entering download mode
What happens when you try entering download mode?
I've tried everything except the jig method. Just loops the Sammy logo and gets nowhere.
The MDM appears to have prevented the download option as well as the factory reset and pretty much everything else.
Seriously, can't see how Airwatch can't have a .zip file to flash from SD for such situations - or at least a failsafe to prevent pushing a profile to a device without having network or MDM remove option enabled.
Phone well and truly bricked, replacement only option (first brick I've created in about 20 years)!

Try keeping Volume down & Home & Power pressed until the phone reboots twice
Do not let go of the buttons until it has rebooted 2 times, hopefully after the 2nd it will enter download mode

Absolutely! Asked them about a .zip to flash and also expressed surprise that I was allowed to do what I did in the software. Fell on deaf ears.
I'm with you but if this serves as a warning against people using Airwatch that's a win too.

Seems strange to me as download mode is not something you can alter by flashing anything at all
Even if you 100% wipe internal storage, download mode will still work
Not sure if the same exists for the S7, but for the S5 there were Debrick Images, you flashed it to a MicroSD card using the PC, stick MIcroSD back in the phone, when the phone boots it boots from that debrick image allowing you to flash recovery / ROM etc again to Internal storage

Hi guys,
I recently bought Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and it contains an administrative app called "PAYJOY" controlling about everything on my phone ... I tried to get into developer options to use USB debugging to root my S7 but the page appears gray. I tried nearly every app that related to remove or deactivate that admin app such as package disabler pro, app freezer ...etc I even try to delete knox app so I can get to developer options but Payjoy won't allow me to .....
ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THAT ADMIN APP, I really appreciate any HELP!

Try using Adhell 2 to disable it.
Was able to remove PayJoy via Android remote wipe request. No sign of PayJoy now on the S7 but in recovery it still refuses to wipe saying MDM prevents it. But in Android there is no more sign of PayJoy. How to remove the last remnant which shows itself when trying to wipe via recovery?
How did you do the remote Wipe thing ?
PayJoy App Removed
*REMOVE PAYJOY APP*
1.) Go to settings - lock screen and security and set a pin.
2.) they will leave a menu now that says (Secure Lock Settings), they enter there and there is an unchecked option that says Auto factory reset. Basically what that sentence does is that when you put the pin 15 times wrong the phone automatically does a factory reset.
3.) They have to turn off the screen and turn it on again to put the wrong pin 15 times. the first 5 times are going to be followed and they will have to wait 30 seconds, the second 5 times the same, and the last 5 every time they do they will have to wait 10 and 30 minutes each time, but once they have put the wrong password 15 times the phone magically it will reboot and will do the factory reset removing them from the mdm mode and removing the famous manager of the phone.

Got phone financed thru payjoy, it was cool until i realized how much control the app actually had, as stated in previous threads cannot change any options as a device administrator, and all developer options are grayed out except oem unlock, demo mode, Include bug report. Tried the master reset from recovery, states MDM doesnt allow... Come on already lol, HHHHHEEEEELLLLPPPPPP.
I wouldn't recommend it to be honest. It probably checks in with their servers regularly. They might come looking for it if it stops xD
Ok actually I have found a way to not only disable it but delete it, getting rid of it completely. I did it on my Note 5, message me

Why not just post the method here for everyone to use?
Pretty sure it involves setting screenlock security to reset the device after 10 wrong login attempts, then forcing those wrong attempts one after the other until the device factory resets itself
No actually it doesn't, it's been awhile see if I can refresh memory, after I figured it out, I thought wow how simple
If I remember correctly, in the security section of settings, there is a selection you can mark that forces a factory reset upon restart of device, therefore getting the pay joy as a device administrator. Then use a file manager, and find the com.app folder and delete the rest
This worked for me on a Samsung J7 Pro (G610M). Just enable OEM unlock at developer options!
1- Go to settings - lock screen and security and set a PIN lock, like 1234..
2- You will se a menu (Secure lock Settings), click on it and set "Auto factory reset". This opcion will factory reset your device after 15 wrong attempts to unlock the Screen.
3- Turn OFF the Screen and enter wrong the PIN code 15 times on your device, the the Phone automaticaly will reboot and it will perform a factory reset by it self. When it turns ON the "PLay Joy" will be erased.

why doesnt a factory firmware flash fix this? or even an unbranded flash like the U1? if the payjoy app has root/SU/admin rights and is able to make the phone a paperweight, then it should be removable with a factory flash with the regular CSC. @detection what am i missing about this? i mean after the FRP lock is bypassed that is

Same issue here. s10e stuck in boot loop (between samsung logo and warning about the bootloader being unlocked) after yesterday's update.
So far I had no success putting the phone into recovery or download mode.
The phone was rooted, then flashed with custom ROM, then flashed again with stock firmware. I kept the bootloader unlocked because I read it was risky to re-lock the bootloader.
So, is it now hopelessly bricked?

So, here's how I put the phone in download mode.
I left the battery to drain completely, then without pressing the power button, I pressed the volume down and Bixby button; and only then I plugged the cable. Without pressing the power button, the phone started straight into Download mode.
Now Odin sees the phone, I'm about to flash it with the stock firmware and see what happens.

I just wanted to give an update of how I rescued my phone and kept all the information on the phone memory intact (this was one of the challenges, as I had some photos on it).
I put it in download mode by draining the battery, then tried to flash the updated firmware. It didn't work, leading once again to boot loop and all I could do was boot to the stock Android recovery - not helpful.
So I got it to download mode again and flashed the stock firmware it originally came with (prior to the update). In Odin, I put HOME_CSC in the CSC field, to keep the phone memory from being erased. This solved it.
Hope this info can help someone having the same issue.
I have a conundrum. I bought an international S10e so I could root and run custom ROMs, even though I live in the US. While flashing with Heimdall, my USB controller flaked out and the flash failed hard. It left the phone in such a corrupted state, that it no longer will go into download mode or boot into recovery. When connecting it to a computer, it just goes to a teal screen that says the following:
An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software.

I installed Windows, the drivers, and the Smart Switch software, but the program refuses to see my S10e as a valid device for emergency recovery or otherwise. I took it to a shop to see if they could perform the reset, and they told me that Samsung US refuses to give them the necessary files due to it being an international model.
Are there any other tools I can use to perform this reset, or do I have to mail it in to Samsung?

I have tried all that many times. The phone will not go into download mode. Unless there is a way to perform the reset that it suggests without download mode, it is dead and I will have to mail it in to Samsung and fight with them about it. I would gladly buy this off you if you don't fix it. Feel free to send me a pm as I'm never on here.
It's just soft bricked lol. I've been at this exact screen myself (S10e exynos). Just download Odin, Samsung USB drivers and stock ROM. Connect phone to PC, and Odin should detect it right away if I remember correctly. If not, hold power + volume down until the phone shuts off, then quickly plug it in while holding bixby + volume down. Try messing with it until Odin detects it and then just flash stock. I can assure you, it's fixable, nothing serious.
I rooted the phone to uninstal some bloatware, and of course I have uninstalled something I shouldn't have.
If think it was something with Lolipop in the name, which can sound pretty stupid since it's name of the OS, but the app (root uninstaller) told me it should be safe to remove...
Now either the phone doesn't start, or when it start the interface simply don't show up. I cee see the phone is running behind, If I press the power button I have the popup to restart or shut down the phone, and when I press the home button a google searsh interface appear, but I can't do anything else.
So I've been struggling all the afternoon to try to reset the firmware, I've installed QFIL, try to find the firmware, download some crap form internet that was useless since it was missing the prog_emmc_firehose file, which I've deducted should be prog_emmc_firehose_8916.mbn since the processor is a Snapdragon 410.
I found the file online, I setup the software, click on download, it load for some time... and then I have an error message (I put it on the attached image)
I have no idea what's the problem, if my files are somehow wrong or if the problem is elsewhere, since this model doesn't seem to be very popular I'm struggling to find anything. I think it's close the the Idol 3, but I don't know if both model are compatible.
I'm out of idea, if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Frankly I have no idea what you're talking about, I'm totally in the dark here.

I think I am in EDL mode, otherwise QFIL wouldn't even start the procedure.
Just to be sure, I push both volume buttons down, then plug the cable.
Then I have a picture telling me I have to push volume up to enter Download mode, si I guess it's EDL ?

First I have limited knowledge about edl , but from what I know you can't enter edl with button combinations - download mode should not be edl... ( There are multiple ways of entering edl - You either need a special cable / Need to open phone , find test points and short them / issue correct fastboot comand for entering edl... I think it was something like fastboot reboot-edl )
And second, flashing system updates via custom recovery is usually a much simpler process than QFIL ( This is only a last resort option ! I'd use fastboot before trying qfil )
What you can do is find and download complete system update for your device , extract it and send me a screenshot. (If you can find a custom recovery for your device go ahead and flash it as well)
