Moto G3 Nougat (Custom ROM) Doesn't work Sound. - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This problem was presented with the ROM Resurrección Remix 5.8.0 and 5.8.1, the sound does not work. I tried factory reset but it works. The next day is out of sound and repeating the factory reset, the sound does not recover.
I tried to put AOSP Extended, but the same happens like RR. It is annoying to have to change ROM to repair the sound. Something I've discovered is that the problem is not Hardware, it's Android 7.1.1 Software.
Custom kernels doesn't repair sound.
My Moto G3 is XT-1543 (Dual Sim LTE)
If Logcat is requested, no problem.

You are the only person I know who is facing this issue. Have you installed any sound modding services like V4A or something?? Because those might sometimes be an issue.

android 4.4.2 - CM11 with ION: Volume headset in call at max

Hi everyone, I have a HTC sensation XE with s-off. I installed android 4.4.2 - CM11 with ION.
When I had "cm-11-20140109-Sultan-pyramid" everything was fine, but with the ROM upgrade, I have a problem: I cannot use headset during call because volume is too loud and I cannot reset.
I did a full wipe installation with "cm-11-20140320-Sultan-pyramid" installing GAPPS and aroma, but no improvement. How can I do?
thanks

Have you simply used the volume rockers for putting the volume downer?

of course yes and the smartphone had never had this trouble.
***Updating***
I have done a full wipe again and re-flashed the "cm-11-20140109-Sultan-pyramid" with GAPPS and aroma, reinstalled all the app and there is no more problem. Now headset volume works fine.
I think there is a problem inside the ROM next the "cm-11-20140109-Sultan-pyramid" (I tried almost all).

Hello,
I am new to XDA and posting my concern for the first time.:silly:
I very much respect the way developers have come together to form the XDA forum for making Custom OS and thus saving phones (like my ION) from getting outdated.
Coming to my concern, I had downloaded and installed CM11 in my ION lt28H (previously I was running Paranoid Android) version cm-11-20140514-UNOFFICIAL-aoba and then installed the GAPPS version pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.4-20140620-signed.
The issue I am facing is:
1) When the phone wakes from a long sleep/restart the first call made/received faces a dead earpiece, speaker and even the headset does not pick up any voice. I have to cut the call and then make again, then turn on the speaker and then switch to earpiece to start hearing any voice.
Once the voice gets enabled then all calls run fine.
2) The notification drawer freezes and does not come down, which in turn freezes the entire screen. I have to either restart or reset the phone to get the screen working.
3) When using Trebuchet home the icons placed along with the menu button disappear after a restart.
Please suggest an remedy or update or other version of the OS which solves this issue.
Will flashing older version of the GAPPS solve the problem (since I installed Gapps 4.4 version which was the latest posted on the site)
If this message is posted at a wrong thread please suggest how can I reach the concerned developer for help.

problem with audio moto g.

Hey all!
I have moto g xt1032, i update the software to 5.0.1 through ota 2 weeks ago, in the last 3 days i am having a problem with many aspect of audio in the device.
I have problem with audio during phone calls not me nor the reciver could hear any thing.
I can only able to do it through speaker, more over i cant listen to music without headphoens.
Audio in youtube videos not works, or any other source of audio.
Ringtones work for 2-3 sec and then stops, the notifications sound work only sometimes.
I had the same problem before with erlier software i think kitkat.
I rid of the problem by doing silnce and then full tune, follow reboot, then the problem fixed.
This time i have try to do so but i cant get rid of thr problem, ihave try also get in to safemod but didnt find how, in addition i have try to clear cach partition, but when i enterd to recovery it had a post of "no command.
Could any-one help me what to do? , how to fix the broblem
Thanks in advance .
My suggestion is to flash the stock 4.4.4 GPe firmware and reinstall Lollipop 5.0.1.
To reboot to safe mode press and hold Power Off and select OK, although I doubt that it will fix anything.
Also, are you rooted or have you converted to GPe?
P.S. I'm assuming that you are on GPe and not Brazilian?

Thanks for response, my device is not rooted.
I think its the gpe, if i will root the phone, google continu to send me ota updates?
Could someone please tell me what to do.
It's better that you have not root your phone, since you would have to unroot to update via OTA. Try Googling around to find out how to restore stock GPe firmware (it doesn't require root). I am out of town now so I cannot help you for a few days.

Motorola had a clear vision even before it released some of it's devices - to provide updates faster compared to competitors. Users have complained about problems with the Moto G following upgrade to new android version.
I found this article for potential solutions for a few common problems and issues faced by Moto G owners. theseblogs.com/A9Zw9 :fingers-crossed:

[FALCON] Moto G Problems

Hi guys,
I have a stock Moto G that has not been used for a long time. Everything works perfectly till i insert my sim card. Starting from that, lots of problems occurred such as :-
- microphone not working
- speaker not working
- can't call
- can't record video
- audio jack not working
So basically, all media could not work in this phone. However, i tried to root this phone and install a custom rom (Dirty Unicorns 6.0 MM) and still, the problem occurred. I could not think any other solution than wiping cache, and re-flashing the rom several times. The sim card was not inside the tray at the moment. I hope to hear any solution from you guys. Thanks in advance guys!

I have a similar issue on a old moto g (falcon)
At weekend I stuck the latest CM 14.1 on my newer moto g (peregrine) and worked great so I thought I would put the matching ROM for the falcon on and once I'd updated the bootloader and twrp it actually runs really smooth but it doesn't detect any sim cards which was a intermittent fault with it anyway which I presumed may be the software but seems its hardware now.
So anyway after all my waffling give that ROM a blast.

Yeah definitely possible
Try popping the back off and remove the screws and you can see the sim card holder have a check its in good condition and the solders not loose

If those problems are related to software, install the stock firmware through mfastboot commands, including wipes on the data and cache partitions to see if that solves the problems.
If not, then its a hardware problem and there's not so much to do..
good luck

Can't call

I recently installed Lineage OS 14.1 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/20...o-root-moto-g-2015-android-t3320113?nocache=1 on my Osprey, along with GApps. Everything works great, but I just realised a serious issue - Calling.
I can't hear anything, and neither can the other person. I've tested both the speaker and the microphone, and tried a different app, but nothing works. Help?

Clean flash your ROM again. Make sure you haven't installed any sound modding apps like Dolby or V4A. If it still persists, try other ROMs. If you're having this problem on all ROMs, then pretty surely the hardware is the source of trouble.

I did, in fact, install V4A before I tried calling. Maybe that was the problem. Anyway, I'm re-flashing right now (also installed a kernel lmao), and I'll update ASAP
Update: Well, that didn't work, though I can verify that it worked with the stock firmware *sigh*. Anyway, for now I'm downloading the latest 'stable' build of Resurrection Remix.
Double Update: RR sucks, installed the Offical LOS nightly, everything is great now. Thanks for the help guys!

Sound ERROR

Hello everyone,
My Idol 3 6039J (with stock LP 5.0 ROM and stock recovery) have a crash after an error on WhatsApp. I was on a video call and the cell phone reboot. After that, I have a very slow search on wifi, no functionality on SIM card, no correct restart and shutdown capabilities (only power off if I hold power button) and most importantly, no sound. Every application with play any audio don't do that. This includes alarm, notifications, music, youtube, etc.
After that, I try to reset and reflash ROM on Mobile Upgrade Q. Don't work's.... Then I flash TWRP and CM 12.1, and all issues are solved, except the sound trouble. I try to wipe everything via TWRP and reflash CM, but after that, I have no SIM card and no sound. Can somebody help me?! Any explanation about Android structure, like drivers, Linux kernel, hardware abstraction layer, libraries and how I can test step by step to discover where is the problem, will be appreciated.

That makes sense, I'm taking a look on "about phone" menu, and have "unknow" answer on the version of baseband item. I google it but don't find any package to flash. Doubt: I need to flash specific modem version for my country? Where can I download that? Thanks!
