android 4.4.2 - CM11 with ION: Volume headset in call at max - HTC Sensation

Hi everyone, I have a HTC sensation XE with s-off. I installed android 4.4.2 - CM11 with ION.
When I had "cm-11-20140109-Sultan-pyramid" everything was fine, but with the ROM upgrade, I have a problem: I cannot use headset during call because volume is too loud and I cannot reset.
I did a full wipe installation with "cm-11-20140320-Sultan-pyramid" installing GAPPS and aroma, but no improvement. How can I do?
thanks

Have you simply used the volume rockers for putting the volume downer?

of course yes and the smartphone had never had this trouble.
***Updating***
I have done a full wipe again and re-flashed the "cm-11-20140109-Sultan-pyramid" with GAPPS and aroma, reinstalled all the app and there is no more problem. Now headset volume works fine.
I think there is a problem inside the ROM next the "cm-11-20140109-Sultan-pyramid" (I tried almost all).

Hello,
I am new to XDA and posting my concern for the first time.:silly:
I very much respect the way developers have come together to form the XDA forum for making Custom OS and thus saving phones (like my ION) from getting outdated.
Coming to my concern, I had downloaded and installed CM11 in my ION lt28H (previously I was running Paranoid Android) version cm-11-20140514-UNOFFICIAL-aoba and then installed the GAPPS version pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.4-20140620-signed.
The issue I am facing is:
1) When the phone wakes from a long sleep/restart the first call made/received faces a dead earpiece, speaker and even the headset does not pick up any voice. I have to cut the call and then make again, then turn on the speaker and then switch to earpiece to start hearing any voice.
Once the voice gets enabled then all calls run fine.
2) The notification drawer freezes and does not come down, which in turn freezes the entire screen. I have to either restart or reset the phone to get the screen working.
3) When using Trebuchet home the icons placed along with the menu button disappear after a restart.
Please suggest an remedy or update or other version of the OS which solves this issue.
Will flashing older version of the GAPPS solve the problem (since I installed Gapps 4.4 version which was the latest posted on the site)
If this message is posted at a wrong thread please suggest how can I reach the concerned developer for help.

[Q] about CM11.0 [20140316]

Hello,
I've been reading this forum for quite some years and using some of the tutorials and ROMs from here but never actually posted anything and now that I have a few questions about on of the ROMs I'm using now I'm not quite sure where to post it since as a newly registered member I can't post anything in the correct ROM Thread [ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467013 ], so please be patient with me.
I thought it would make more sense to post my actually questions than trying to reach those 10 posts to be able to post it directly there.
So now to my questions:
I have a HTC Desire S (obviously) and had for about 1 1/2 years now an old CoreDroid Version from here (can't remember which one) which I was quite happy with till it started to crash more and more often, battery kept draining and then there came a point a few weeks ago where it would just randomly go out and wouldn't restart till you charged it again.
That got me so annoyed I thought I either buy a new HTC Desire 310 soon or give another ROM a try, so I chose the cm-11-20140324-UNOFFICIAL-saga.zip from the first page and installed it after remembering how to do so.
Then the Gapps and started configuring it.
So far so good, ROM looks good, stable, battery is working much longer now, so thanks a lot.
But I had and still have some issues.
Whatsapp wouldn't instal, so through the search function I would a way around it (in the end downloading it from whatsapp directly and installing it through the .apk worked) and got that sorted.
The next thing is still a worry to me, I used to sync my contacts from my outlook through android-sync [ http://www.android-sync.com/ ] which I bought after non of the other syncing methods worked to my satisfaction. Everything worked fine with the old ROM (after I set it up) but with the new ROM the program on my computer can't find the mobile phone anymore, I tried to reinstall the ADB drivers, but it didn't work (I sent the error log from the program to the developer a few days ago but still haven't heard back), so maybe someone around here knows a way around it?
Last night I experienced another issue, the clock works fine and after I installed the ROM I set up a few different alarm clocks and they worked. But yesterday I wanted to change the alarms and now every time I try to access the alarm clock the clock app stops working "Clock stopped working" and it closes.
I can delete the alarms and set up a new one, but only the time, then it saves and when I try to change the days or the sound same error appears. I searched the forum and internet for a bit and found ideas like deleting the clock data and cache, rebooting the device, but none worked.
And last but not least it seems I can't find the right settings for it but every time I swype or type on the keyboard it vibrates. I turned off all the other noises that the phone made while typing but this one I can't find. I would like my phone to be silent and don't vibrate when I type. Where can I find the settings for it?
If anybody could help me with this I would appreciate it a lot.
Kind Regards
Marvin
For vibrating on keyboard press setting are at SETTINGS/Presonal/Languager and Input/Keyboard settings (for me it's ASOP keyboard settings).
Did you do dirty flash or clean one? Clean ROM flash is recommended.
Other problems I got with previous devil-kin CM11.Couldn't get usb mass storage and adb working. Now I keep Flinny CM11 build and it works.I didn't try devil-kin last build.
Maybe you can try install Flinny alpha 5 CM11 and try if that work.

I installed Flinny alpha 5 CM11 now and tried it out. I had a few crashes with the devil-kin version too and bought a new battery, so hard to tell what solved what, but so far so good.
But for the syncing problem, now I have an even worse error:
ht*p :// i.gyazo.com/798a67697deb9f91904e7cac9b62bf76.png
with the devil-kin version it still found something and just had problems with the adb drivers, now there seems to be something else going on.

Regarding that issue I also got problems with many other apps i.e. Redphone, Textsecure, Chiffry and so on there always comes the message that these apps are incompatible to my device - strange I also use cm11_saga_flinny_alpha5 Kernel 4.4.2.
These messages of incompatibility are generated by Google play store, when comparing AndroidManifest.XML permissions and requirements with the phone...
Further more Issues at Finny/Devilkin CM11.0
Hello guys,
I am also new at this Forum although using it "passiv" since years. Now I flashed the CM 11.0 from Devilkin and ones from Flinny.
- Unofficial CM10.2 / CM11.0 build for Saga / Desire S
All works (both ROMs) great up to the wired headphone Controles.
I think this might be the right thread to Post that until I reached the Number of Posts to put the in the right developerthread. Hope anyone can help.
The exactly problem:
I use orginal HTC-Headset with three controller Buttoms. The headphone itself is working though I can hear music and sound but the Controls and the Mic are not working. I tried to register an input with the jayzheadphone app but it shows no input. Headphone and controls worked fine with stock ROM.
Thank you for help.
@Terodax
Sorry but I cant't evaluate your issue cause of the missing HTC-Headset, but I got some other weird thing with the "mute" button on calling someboy it fails in doing it .-/
So I worked around the little problem in "holding" the call -> that works and it's like muting

[Q] 5.1.1 causing random restarts

Hi all, im new to this forum
I just installed 5.1.1 on my Nexus 5 (clean: not rooted, no ram boomers or other things) and now it keeps restarting.
- After install and optimization everything went well for 30 mins, then it started restarting and failing to do so like 15 times before having success (vibration and first google display, then again and again)
- Every 1-2 mins, it does the same
- A couple of times it made a new optimization of the update (from 1 to 139 beats)
Never had problems with previous versions of Android.
Memory is 700 MB free.
I don't know what may be causing this and what could i do
Help pls
Thank you
Hey,
I had that problem too, try to install xTraSlim. You wont miss anything from Stock. In fact you dont gain anything from Stock. Exept the Sound Mod - it uses the Speaker on top thats meant for calls for any Sound or Music too. And its really loud and sounds very good.
Of course you have to root first, but that shouldnt be hard. Well, it maybe is because you got it unrooted, but I guess, or hope better to say that you got a custom recovery installed, so you can flash the newest SuperSu.
Here are the links:
xTraSmooth/xTraSlim Page
xTraSlim Download Link
SuperSU Beta 2.49 (Dont worry, there is no unstable root, either its rooted or not. Also it works fine for me)

I can't start it at all now. I cant even use the recovery mode. It seems like if the start button is being pressed again and again, when i manage to start the recovery mode i can't move up or down in time because it "presses" the start button
It isn't for me

[ROM][4.4.4] GPE - The Liberty Way

Hello,
I'm using this rom, and like it very much..
Just one thing, my phone keeps asking me to update software to android 5.0.1
It keeps poping up. I tried it once (wich I think isn't a great idea) but my phone just reboots into recovery (TWRP). The only thing I can do at that point is to reboot system, nothing is changed after the reboot, I'm just back to 4.4.4. Then later the phone starts asking for the update again...
Does someone have a solution for this?
Thanks,
Jan
I've installed this rom recently and as far as I can say the update is useless because it's for htc one m7. On the update screen it says that they want to update the one m7 and it happens in my opinion because this rom is ported from one m7 or something, idk I think the best solution would be to sumply ignore the update notification and live life as usual. If I come up with any solution I'll notify as soon as possible :good:
Playback pause
Hey, I've came up one more problem using this rom - my music playback pauses randomly. On the rom forum some guys said they have the same issue and as a solution they use poweramp music player where the issue is gone for them. The problem is that my poweramp is also broken as other music players my in-call audio is fully working because I have applied fix zip mentioned in the main forum. Maybe the problem occurs with music playback because of the fix zip? I'll try to re-flash rom and see if the problem still exist.

ANY HELP
Never got this when I flashed it.. try Clean Installing after flashing the latest FTF, the recommended kernel and recovery
no such issues for me..
you should follow the instructions carefully when installing a specific rom. i don't think there will be any issue if you followed the instructions well.
btw, i'm on the stock kernel and cm 12.1 (stryflex sony themed) rom.

Sound ERROR

Hello everyone,
My Idol 3 6039J (with stock LP 5.0 ROM and stock recovery) have a crash after an error on WhatsApp. I was on a video call and the cell phone reboot. After that, I have a very slow search on wifi, no functionality on SIM card, no correct restart and shutdown capabilities (only power off if I hold power button) and most importantly, no sound. Every application with play any audio don't do that. This includes alarm, notifications, music, youtube, etc.
After that, I try to reset and reflash ROM on Mobile Upgrade Q. Don't work's.... Then I flash TWRP and CM 12.1, and all issues are solved, except the sound trouble. I try to wipe everything via TWRP and reflash CM, but after that, I have no SIM card and no sound. Can somebody help me?! Any explanation about Android structure, like drivers, Linux kernel, hardware abstraction layer, libraries and how I can test step by step to discover where is the problem, will be appreciated.

That makes sense, I'm taking a look on "about phone" menu, and have "unknow" answer on the version of baseband item. I google it but don't find any package to flash. Doubt: I need to flash specific modem version for my country? Where can I download that? Thanks!
