[Completed] Kenbo Hardbrick - XDA Assist

Sometime we must face the hardback software error
My experience in wrong or imcomple firmware. I face the Kenbo MTK device with incomplete firmware because of not enough space to zipping it
It may be dead or bricked with an error message
´Usb not recognized ´ but I know I can get the DA load by the removing the Battery at META Mode so I remove the cover and Start So flash tools and right scatter file then I remove the Battery on phone and plug usb port and download DA successfully. So sometime we can get easily I search many times for this because it was Kenbo:laugh::silly::silly::laugh::laugh:

Hi !
There is nothing related to your device here on xda , you can keep on searching on internet , contact the manufacturer`s website or here
Good luck !

[Resolved] [Q] [HELP] Is my MTK6589 phone hard bricked ?

EDIT : SOLVED :
Many thanks to slot78
Hello all.
I got my hands on a Inew I2000 phone (Mediatek 6589 cpu). I tried to flash it with the latest rom, and might have hard bricked it. Can you help me say if it is indedd hard-bricked, and if not how to revive it ?
What I did :
I used Flash Tool 3.1312
Got the rom from this page : http://www.needrom.com/mobile/inew-i2000/
After fighting with the drivers for a while, it seems my phone is ready to flash.
I selected the scatter-loader, cliced "firmware upgrade"
Pluged the phone.
The upgrade seemed to work fine. I got to the green circle. I unpluged phone. But hte phone didn't boot.
After that, nothing.
The phone doesn't seem to reac to anything. The screen stays black.
When I plug it, the list in device manager moves a bit ( showing that it still react to pluged USB) But I can't find the device anywhere on the list.
When I try to flash anything with flash tool, I clic load. Then, when I plug the phone, the loading start. But when the red bar reach 100%, nothing more happens.
From what I've found with google so far, it looks like I somehow had the wrong pre-loader in my ROM.
Now, I'm opened to suggestions.
Any way I can be sure wrther my phone is bricked or not ?
If not, what is the next step to revive it ?
Thanks in advance for any help.

As you say in pm, yes the sollution the "test-spot"!
You have the truth!
http://www.4shared.com/download/5Y4TKOCfba/service_spot__1_.jpg?lgfp=3000
There is the spot!
You need to remove the back cover and you need 3 item: a piece of wire, a screwdriver (fot the back cover) and a rubber-ring.
First remove almost all the screw, except next to sd card slot (bottom left corner of the sd card slot)...This screw fix the main board and you can remove the back cover without remove this screw.
Put the battery to right position and fix it with rubber ring to the phone.
Prepare with the flash tools and rom, for flashing...(usb cable conect to the pc, scatter file etc...)
Start the flashing with the downlad button and inmediatly sort the spot with the motherboard screw (what you didn't remove) with the wire.
Waiting for the green circle! And Enjoy!
Pls let me know if you successful!
The problem was i think...There is two different mainboard in Inew i2000 the v1.1 and the v2.1...The newer stock roms belongs to second.
Here is a KitKat THEMED (it's just 4.2.1) rom: http://www.4shared.com/zip/WHdOpLytba/07_resurrection_feelKat.html
(little bit lightweighted and optimized) It's for PCB v1.1
First time do not going to panic...First time boot will be slow...and after that the system need 15 min for find myself...Wait for it!
Here is the lastest CWM based touch recovery

Best Regards
I haven't succeded (yet) but thanks a lot for the info.
I think I got the right point on the motherboard. When I connect it, I can see a white led lightning up near the ubs port on the phone. So, I guess connecting the point makes my phone react.
But I think I might have a driver problem now.
Here is what happened.
Launch Flashtool as admin.
Load a scatterfile (any file, at this point I just want to be able to flash anything.)
Battery in, usb cable connected
press load.
the red progress bar imediately reach 100%
I try to connect he testpoints.
nothing more happens. Sometime I see various errors, not always the same.
Before finding the test point method, I tried all kind of drivers. Now I'm not sure which one is left on the system or wich is the correct one.
Anyway thanks for pointing the test points to me !
Also, thanks for the recovery and the ROM.
But none of them contains a preloader / scatter file. So, at this point, even if I get the right drivers I can't load them. I'll try them later if I manage to revive the phone, but right now my aim is ...
1 / Cleanup the drivers, and reinstall the right one
2 / Get flash tool to load anything on the phone via test point
3 / Find the right preloader and load it via test point
If I manage to do that, then I should be able to put back the back cover, and load the recovery "normally".
In the meantime, any advice is highly welcome.
Like :
- Any tips for cleaning up / installing drivers ?
- Any idea what the right preloader is ?
- Precise order on what to plug when flashig ( Battery / plusg USB / Load in flashtool / Connect points ? )
But more than eveything, thank you ! I might not have succeded yet, but at least I am not stuck anymore. Before your post I didn't know what to do. At least, now I have the test point and I can try something.
Also, sorry for the late answer. I had a lot on my plate, and didn't realise you had answered.
I suscribe to be sure not to miss any more answer.

Hello Again!
For the recovery you do not need new scatter file, use the original.
You can install the new rom from CWM recovery.
So let's see the problem.
First i need that error messages, it's important!
Try to use different usb cable/usb port/computer (operation system).
And different version of Flashtools.
I use this:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/CBA1yGcq/SP_Flash_Tool_v313040119.html
And this drivers:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/TPj497mj/6577driver_install_3_steps.html
But i need the error codes...Meanwhile you can contunie trying. We will save that phone!
Best Regards
Thanks again.
I'm already using this version of Flashtool. I'll try your drivers as well.
I might have some more question later on, but for now I think I need to try again when I've slept a bit. Maybe things will seems clearer tomorow I'll keep you updated later this week end.

Quick update.
On device manager, the phone appear under "Ports com and LTP" as "MTK USB Port (com12)" Or other port number if I use other USB ports.
The error message I sometime get is BROM ERROR : S_PORT_COM_OPEN_FAIL (1013)
[COM] Failed to open port COM12
Wether I get the message or not depends on the order I do thing. ( Plus phone first, load after, or load and plug after ...)
So far, same reaction as always. The red progress bar goes to 100% very quicky, then nothing more happens.
EDIT ;
YES ! Phone résurected !
What I did :
phone not pluged, test points already connected
Windows -> write memory.
Go to tab Write memory
Open raw data -> select preloader.bin
select EMMC
Adress 0x0000000000
length 0x00600000
Write
Plug phone (with test point already connected)
The prelaoder gets written -> green circle.
unplug phone
After that back to main tab
select scater file from the same image, clic firmware upgrade
connect phone
Loading goes through ...
Green circle,
Phone switch on -> Success !
Thanks a lot, I will now try to flash the CWM recovery and the rom you recommended ... but later.
Right now my phone can boot again, and that's awesome !

Yikes!
Looks like, there is only usb driver related or op system related problem. (for this moment)
I looking for different driver and give it a try.
tonight...
Lol, you must have answered while I was editing my post.
As I said, Phone resurected ! Success !
It is now booting normally, with a stock rom.
Next steps are
1 / CWM + the rom you suggested.
2 / Fix memory to use the whole memory on one system partition. (It seems the i2000 for some reason does not use all the available memory.)
But all that is not problematic anymore. I just need the time to get to it
Many thanks for your precious help, I wouldn't have been able to do it without you.

It's an apk for repartitioning your memory! Use only maximum 1,5 GB system memory options!
After that you must reflash the rom of course and your internal sd will cleared too!
But not the cwm recovery!
I'm happy now!
Get the 2.7 GB of memory on one partition ... OK
Get more available memory ... nope. Not sure it is actually possible on my version.
CWM ... OK
insall the kitkat themed rom you gave ... I don't know.

How long exactly ? Because I think the 4 color moving logo has been displayed for 15 minutes now.I know first boot can be long ... but at what point do I decide the phone is not just slow booting but actually stuck ?
Edit : Well, I'll stop at 30min I think.
But even if this one doesn't work for me, I would be interrested to know where you found custom roms for inew I2000 phone. I haven't been able to find a single one with google.

Well, depends on what you call hardbrick and soft brick.
I bricked it using only software. So, it's soft.
But I had to open it and attach a wire to the motherboard to unbrick it ... so kinda hard to.

Eh it's will be difficult, you know i customized that rom... Because i did not found too. It was not a really rom develpoment just kind a "patchwork"...
The problem is, you have (i think) v2.1 board in your Inew I2000...In Hungary...one company sold v1.1 verzion...it called "Myaudio 508"...
For the v2.1 i have only stock rom...
But i did only few imporvements....Working GPS (with hw modding too) not blurry cam (hw too) different launcher, customized bootanim, different (and less) system ringtones and notifications. Some build.prop tweaking...etc...etc...
I try to make 4.2.2, because i have a working version, but still have two bugs, but that harder bugs and my phone sadly dead.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50010654
My motherboard have a contact issue and i cant find replacement anywhere...I asked chinese factories...i asked russian fans...nothing
I'm a sad panda now...And looking for new phone...There are few new very intresting phones!
But if you want ask anything...just do it! if i can, i will help..
Is it possible from battery date 2013.02.25 and green sticker below battery with 2013 05 checked to tell which exactly preloader I need for this bricked phone (quad core)? I tried various sp flash tools versions and various roms dated 2013 03 16, 2013 05 10, 2013 07 06, tried to download only preloader or full rom with variuos errors, usually 4001 and 4032, now only shortening the point method left, but how do I know which exactly preloader I neeed?

You shold check the motherboard version number...Already i know two versions of this phone...The v1.1 and the v2.1...
For the flashtools the firmware names contain "_21" or "_v21"...In previous posts i linked a v21 rom. If you need the older one...i don't have v1.1 rom for flashtools now (because my phone is dead) but you can use the "spot method" and cmw rom + zip firmware form.

QH SUSB_Dload /Hardbrick Xperia Tx Recovery

Hello Friends ,
While flashing CM13 and making some changes in sdcard0 to ext4 format , my phone suddenly went to hard brick or as it seems with following condition : No logo, no vibration , No LED except for one blink whenever it is connected to usb wall charge or laptop .
Cant detect via flashtool on system , only part is while connecting with Windows8 , it makes the usual windows ping as if you connect a flashdrive or any other hardrive .
I was using xperia TX CM12.1 unofficial version .
Attached 2 snapshots showing the errors , before it went to sleep .
Once the phone went blank and i connected with my laptop , it pops up with QHSUSB_Dload driver installing message .
Please help , as I couldnt find any proper resolution to this solution .

Regardless of what you may or may not have done for that to happen, I would try following this guide.
You need to register an account in order to download the files, btw.

thanks added for your quick response and related link .

You're welcome. Any other view? No, but the entire point of that tutorial is that you have to use the testpoint, that's why you're getting that error. If you don't feel confident enough to do it yourself, I guess you'll have to take it to a repair shop.
@Antiga Prime There is an update now . need correct SIN file for xperia TX refer snapshot ..

I have never done this procedure, by the way, but what I can gather from your screenshot is that either the person who wrote the tutorial I linked to originally made a mistake and uploaded the wrong file, or you're using the wrong file. It seems that at some point you might have also downloaded the file found here, which is a forum post for Xperia SP. I do not know which one is the correct file, but just make sure you're using the correct one. If the one posted in the tutorial I linked to doesn't work, I guess you'd have to find one that does.
Thanks , but it seems this SIN file is also not compatible .
Seems the last resort is to reach service center .

[Completed] how to install rom in softbricked android Qualcomm snapdragon device?

Hello
I have an android device brand imobile model iq 6.6 when i purchased it and used it for about an hour it started misbehaving by opening apps automatically like browser, wifi, data. i tried to root this device to remove such annoying built in apps and after removing two to three apps i was using fb and device suddenly switched off i tried to turn on but it couldn't turn on it stucks on boot logo and restarts again and again.
I downloaded official rom both in sd update and through cable but i m not succeeded to install. When i try to install through sd card update it starts installation but after some times it gives som error and installation is aborted.
I also tried to install through smart phone upgrade tool but no success when i press volume up and down buttons and connect it to pc it restarts again and again so the process couldn't be started. I also tried sp flash tool but there is no scatter file inside downloaded rom so that process is also fail and thus im not able to recover my phone please help me.
Thanks developers.

[Completed] Doogee X5 Pro Bricked

Ok, i have a doogee x5 pro phone and i tried to root it by flashing twrp recovery using sp flash tools. While flashing i got the error "PMT Changed for the rom it must be download". So i did a small research on internet and i found out that i needed to format everything except bootloader. This succeded. So after that i tried to install the firmware with this succeding to. Unfortunately the time i tried to turn phone on it was dead. SP Flash Tools wont detect it anymore. Please help me cause the phone is not mine and its brand new! I can rate my self as moderate android user. :crying:
i think i have a bigger problem... I downloaded a stock rom for doogee max pro(cause i just realised it wasnt just pro it was max pro) and it didnt seem to be recognised again. Any help would be appreciated. I constantly keep trying to raise it from the deads. Thanks!

On mtk devices a preloader is independently installed, it should be almost impossible to destroy, I owned a x5 pro and had best success to flash it with sp flash by taking out the battery, press flash button and plug it in...
The second huge issue I see is when you used the specific flash tool format option you very, very likely killed the nvram partition which contained the imei, so you'll have to fix this too by generating a new one and using mtk engineer mode which is well described and to find on Google..
But let's go step by step. Check without battery, or if it's a non replaceable you'll need find the reset button..
i have tried before without battery and i tried just now but nothing. Its very weird it was detected before and now no in same and another machine. I am pretty confused and stressed. Hope i didnt do any physical damage.. :crying:. THANKS!
starting to get pretty stressed omg! and is there a difference between MT6737M and MT6737?
i came to the point im starting to lose my mind... tried everything i could, i have 5 days left to repair this phone and i dont wanna pay 85 euros for this. SP Flash Tools wont detect the phone. Tried almost 5 different scatter files,2 different PCs and different mtk drivers. Im losing my mind already
UPDATE: I almost fixed it! I had flashed wrong preloader so phone wasn't recognized by SP Flash Tool. I fixed preloaded with a little trick from here: link. After that i flashed stock rom downloaded from doogee.cc but phone will not boot resulting in a total black screen. When i hot Power + Vol Up it takes me to another screen:
Select Boot Mode:
Recovery
Bootloader
Normal
Doesn't matter which boot mode i choose i just get a total black screen which means i get nothing. Idk what is happening! Any further help would be appreciated! I constantly try to bring it back working with little success and small improvements.
Last UPDATE: FIXED my phone had no juice left inside so couldnt complete boot proccess. Now its all good running Btw someone must pin this META trick link i send on my previous post cause im sure more people out there have preloader issues!!! Thank you everyone!!

Click to collapse
And yes i couldnt flash it with battery only with!
