[Completed] Selfie stick compatibility with tablets - XDA Assist

Hie all i am working on an automation project and one of the aspects of it is to take a photo of s rock samples using a hacked selfie stick controlled by a micropocessor like raspberry pi. The hacking only involves the button of the selfie stick only.
My question is, can a selfie stick/bluetooth remote work with android tablets? i would like to know before i commit funds to buying. If there is any means of controlling it via remote control (without use of cables- has to be wireless) please let me know. The tablet is a generic Industrial tablet used on microscopes but it has bluetooth it was supplied to us by the project manager so its the only one we have to work with unfortunately.

Which Android Bootloader?

Okay chaps and chappesss I am gearing up for my foray into the Android dual-boot wilderness and trying to get stuff sorted.
Whilst still trying to finalise the Android build I wish to use I wanted to clarify BootLoader.
I know of:
-JMZ (the free v4 one!)
-Exceller
-mkskip's
I know with the JMZ I can also use to install Android on first use.
Do the other 2 do that as well?
Does any one offer an advantage in terms of battery life over the other 2 (in the way they load android relative to extent of WinMo still active underneath - if you get what I mean?)
Any major reasons or other features to suggest one over the other?
I like the idea of having a WinMo button to load into Android as per mksip rather than having to power-off and select on start-up (don't know if Exceller does that as well though )
Any others I should consider instead?
Thanks
this is my favorite one

Android browser compatible web-page creator/generator - alpha

Hiya guys,
I have been working on a project that would allow anyone to create simple web-pages on their desktop pc's as-well as mobile device fast and easily! After much frustration I think I have what could be considered a 'working alpha' and would love for some of you to come and test what I have created. It uses a drag and drop type interface and hosts a number of features and tools to create web-pages.
The tool is 100% web-based and should work on just about any device (Im going to regret saying that). I had the idea that this might be useful for sites such as Ebay, to create templates for your auctions easily or static pages etc on the move.
Here is an image of the alpha taken from my desire hd2 -

Sorry for people who had the issue where passwords where not emailed out! Fixed my email settings so registration should work fine now.

Looking foward to some feedback guys!

Program android device to display car information?

Hi all,
I'm considering / planning an android project to upgrade my car stereo system/screen, and I need your opinion regarding an aspect.
So as for today, my car has an old school stereo and an old school screen that displays basic information, and I'm wondering if I can remove these two modules, and replace them with a single android device that will provide same functionality.
The following picture shows the desired transformation:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
as you see in the upper picture, lower part of the dash has the stereo, and above it is the screen,
I'm sure that an android device can fully replace the original stereo and provide same functionality.
As for the car's original screen, this is the tricky part for me. This screen shows information such as the configured AC temperature, AC fan speed, fuel consumption etc. and I'm wondering if there is anyway to develop some android application to read all of this data and display them on the new android device?
anybody done something similar?
Thanks.

I have an Android phone with a thermal imaging camera; can you help me reverse engineer it?

Hi!
I've bought a Blackview BV6600Pro. I don't see any existing forums on it (not surprising, Blackview doesn't seems to be very popular), so I'm posting this here.
This phone has an actual FLIR thermal imaging camera, with a Lepton sensor I think. It was $240, including shipping. As far as I can tell, that's _by far_ the cheapest thermal imaging camera you can get with this good of resolution. Here's the laptop I'm writing this on:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
That said, the stock firmware kinda sucks. And I don't expect any security updates. I'd love to get Lineage up and running, but have no clue where to start. It's based on a MediaTek MT6765V, if that's relevant.
I'm a very experienced software engineer, and long-time linux user, but don't know many details about Android.
Anyone here interested in pointing me in the right direction? I don't even know how to dump the stock ROM off it.
Thanks in advance!
-Morgan
P.S. I'm also happy to take requests for infrared photos I mostly got this thing just to sate my own curiosity.
