Look on the MoDaco site. There is a guy called Paul O'Brian on there and I think he has something to do with Honor.
He claims that the Honor is unbrickable.
Google MoDaco go ask him how to sort your phone.
If you can get some life out of it then it's mend able

Have you tried this?

I think we have to start first by explaining a little bit what did to get into this problem?
*Were you unlocked?
*Were you rooted?
*Did you try flashing a zip file through TWRP recovery? if yes, which one?
*What firmware did your phone have before the problem?

Well, that's your problem, you can't flash the stock Rom via a custom recovery.
Try this, get the huawei firmware finder tool. Find the FULL version of the OS. I think the onky one for L04 is B162.
Then load it using the dload method. Should fix your problem.

Don't worry, your phone is not hard-bricked is probably just soft-bricked specially if you can get into bootloader.
Here is the full Marshmellow EMUI4.1 firmware for your FRD-L04C567 phone

Have you tried this steps?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-fix-boot-loop-bricked-honor-8-t3545202
The reason you are getting stuck at booting is because your boot.img got rewritten when you tried to install the new firmware. I think if you extract stock recovery.img and recovery2.img from the B162 full update and flash those through "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and "fastboot flash recovery recovery2.img" Then you should be able to use the dload method.

Wow! That procedure should have worked. Don't know what else I can recommend you to do.
I mean, if you have access to the bootloader then your phone is just soft-bricked. Hope someone has a better option than I do. Good luck. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

If you have access to boatloads you can reflash the stock recovery and then use the dload method.

Hey, i think i can help u because i've got my honor 8 bricked (FRD-L09) and this steps help me and it works, all u got to do is the steps from this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70620803&postcount=9
at the step 2. extract also the " RECOVERY2.img " and flash it at the step 4. " fastboot flash RECOVERY2 RECOVERY2.img " and then u should be able to use the dload update (Volume Up + Power button), when u do the update it will fail (at a certain pourcentage like 85% i think) it's totally fine, u simply have to go into the recovery and do wipe data/factory reset and reboot, and it work again.

Can you flash twrp from fastboot?
Also if you can't get into recovery try reading this: htt p:// ww w.modaco.c om/forums/topic/377629-honor-8-button-combinations-clarified/ (remove spaces!)
I have almost hard bricked my honor 8 but I managed to unbrick it by fully shutting it down, then booting into erecovery and factory reset.
Just a side note you should charge your phone to at least 30% battery before trying anything

[Q] Back to stock recovery B137SP03 without recovery image

Hello all,
I have been going slightly mad today trying to get my mate 7 2GB back from CWM to stock recovery. The main problem is that I do not have a stock recovery image. But after being shown where to find one, I noticed that I could not get it successfully flashed either.
Since I do not really know how to do this, I used flashify, but that did not work and either returned me to the CWM or sent me to rescue.
Can someone help me to a) get a stock recovery image for the Mate 7 version MT7-L09 and b) show me how to properly flash it?
Find stock recovery is easy.. only a question why flashify don't work for you? It work fine for me... your device is rooted?

Hi @dzjero86, my device is rooted and I am on the B137SP03 version atm, using CWM. Don't know why Flashify is not working for flashing a recovery image. It works fine to flash a CWM recovery. Maybe I have the wrong stock recovery... If you can find it, can you send me the link or add it as an attachment here?
Please guys help me to . i have that same problem i have been trying to flash the stock recovery again but i couldn't even with flashify after i flash i takes me to bootloader screen and it shows me a fun_error message
I have a tl-10 device

A way to find the stock recovery is : download the whole B137SP03 Rom from the Huawei site , and use a tool called "Firmware unpacker for Huawei" whit this tool you can extract the recovery.img from the Rom and try to flash it using flashify

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Or try to use this tool

This should work.
The fast boot just stucks at waiting for device
And the tool you send says that the stock recovery works only on tl_09 and my device is tl_10

Ok, I couldnt access your firmware unpacker, but I did manage to use the tool you suggested.
I have a different recovery screen, but is this the right one? It has EMUI large in centre screen and the options reboot system now, wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition.
If this is the correct one, and I am already on the D137SP03 ROM, I should be able to locally update right?
I tried this, and got a lot further this time, but my phone gave an error message during the update. Do I need to flash the original B137SP03 rom again, even though I am already on it?
I think you maybe can flash using adb commands and also you need adb drivers working

That's right... you have stock recovery... sometimes the update fail if the UPDATE.APP is on the internal storage.. try to flash from a micro sd card or re-download the update ....

No luck so far.... I've downloaded the update.zip, put it in my mnt/ext_sdcard/dload folder and start the local update. It begins OK, as the progress bar moves along. But after about 25% it shoots to the end, and then I get an update failed screen with a red exclamation mark.
What could I try to get it to work??

Hard-Bricked Honor 6x [BLN-L22C675B310] Nougat EMUI 5.0; How to Reset?

I accidently bricked-bootlooped, and then pretty much messed up my 6x and now i am sitting ducks here with a Phone without a /System only TWRP installed, which refuses to get out of my /Recovery and so I can't even flash stock _recovery.img. And every recovery i try is for MarshMallow and now i don't know what to do!
So i am thinking of ways to go back to MarshMallow and then use all the Recovery material available for it, As i see no alternative.
My Build before updating was BLN-L22C675B132
now it is BLN-L22C675B310, and I am bricked on it.
I have tried numerous UPDATE.APP(s) and UPDATE.zip(s) i have unpacked them, tried to flash the recoveries separately still it was all in vain.
When i try to press VOLUME_UP+VOLUME_DOWN to try to enter the ERecovery to flash my UPDATE.APP file, it just keeps telling me its "Incompatible"
Now i have a good for nothing brick with me! Please Help!
If you can connect to a computer you can flash recovery via fastboot in bootloader mode. Try to flash Nougat compatible recovery which you can find in roms kernel section. Wipe everything except cust and oeminfo then flashing stock recovery and install emui fullota

Congratulations @rohansawant; you are having a precious paper weight in your hands. (sorry joking)
If you have a running twrp and as far as the twrp accepts adb sideload command, you can try out the adb sideload option from a PC connected with your mobile and install B310 official software update. And I think it should work, adb is a very powerful application and it can pour life to any Android device, unless the dead body is not mutilated severely.

Rohan there are two ways or three ways to flash a zip file to a device in common the stock recovery way, the non stock recovery way i.e. TWRP or CWM and the adb way. Adb is the last hope for dead devices, there is another way I have posted in my above post, a link which has an application, you can try on your own risk.
As far as my knowledge is concerned and as much as I've tried I couldn't see any portion to flash a zip file from honor's own recovery. That's way I asked you if you have twrp which has adb sideload option in the Advanced menu, you could use adb sideload command to flash the full OTA.zip while having the twrp but I haven't tried it on my own, it may or may not work.
Press thanks button if I have helped you.

Okay, guys its been a while and one hell of a ride. I ended up calling the confessing how I bricked my phone to the Huawei Call Center and to my surprise ROOTING DOES NOT VOID WARRANTY. They told me to go to the nearest Honor Service Center and tell the story to the executives there, they first grumbled about Rooting voiding warranty but then I called the call center again and told them that the Service Center guys are not accepting the device, he told me to pass the phone to the executives, Next thing I know, They let me surrender my Brick and called me after a week saying my phone was reparied. AKA MotherBoard was replaced and I should pick it up free of Cost! I am now with my old phone, with everything inside it except the old body replaced! I even have a new IMEI ID!

Hey there, I'm having trouble downloading the package and installing the ROM.
I accidentally deleted my recover file.
My model number is BLN-L22C675B132.
I've tried downloading from the following website:
hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=
But after downloading the update.zip file, it fails to install in twrp.
I've already unlocked my bootloader.
Which file should I download? I've tried it with 3 different update.zip files already and none of them worked.

Buddy, I am the OP and almost two weeks ago I was in the same place as you are, I hadn't slept for like two days, No matter which update.zip I downloaded it kept on giving me errors! Now I do have a very un-XDA like solution to your problem. This is what I did. I called the Customer Support and explained to them EVERYTHING, I told them I had rooted my phone and bricked it. They said just take it to the nearest Service Center and they will fix it up for you free of charge if its under warranty. If the service center guys argue just call the customer care and tell them that, they might tell you to hand over the phone to the service center person and they will take it from there. PS if you don't believe me call Huawei for your self and have a chat with them

Then I get a message saying that I have to press the up vol button to go to recovery. And when I try to go to the recovery window I see Huawei eRecovery and not TWRP. I can't able to flash SuperSu. So please help me

Very Hard Brick NEED HELP!!!

Hi guys i need a big help
I'll try to explain all but i'm not good in English
i bricked my honor 8 L09
it happened when I tried to restore a twrp backup. Twrp can't continue the restore because "cust" can't be extracted
So i tried to restore the backup deselecting cust part
And this was my error
Bootloop
So i tried:
-restored others backup -FAILED-
-used Huawei eRecovery : "getting Package from server failed" -FAILED-
-flashed roms, aosp and emui based, marshmallow and nougat based: can't flash -FAILED-
-flashed boot.img, system.img, recovery.img nothing worked -FAILED-
-extracted cust.img and flashed via adb folllowing this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/how-restore-cust-partition-t3356769/page2 flashed but nothing works -FAILED-
But now is worse, because i can't get into twrp but only in eRecovery (that doesn't work), and adb flash don't work
What can i do?
Maybe a huawei/honor repair shop can help me?
Follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-honor-8-to-frd-l19-t3632220.
it helps to rebrick also

i'm assuming you are talking about what you suggested
So I:
-entered in rescuemode
-used the package you linked and flashed twrp via fastboot
-entered in twrp
-tried to wipe but can't wipe and mount nothing
-tried to flash the stock rom linked in your guide but it flash only oeminfo
If u are talking about the guide I linked, I did all steps (my bad, I think that this is the problem, because the modified file in this guide block me from wipe)
EDIT: just tried to flash via fastboot all the .img one for flash but every single time it says "failed. Command not allowed"
Bro go to twrp > advance wipe (all )
If error again reboot again and format data and again advance wipe.
Now flash this link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwXB-CJiljwpS1o4UXo5b1JlRjQ/view
After that do a reset and reboot ,you will be successfully unbricked

HONOR 8 Phone bootloop indian Version

I very recently purchased Honor 8. I had rooted my phone and had installed TWRP recovery.
Since the audio quality wasn't so good. I thought of installing viper4droid. Tried installing many v4d as it wasn't working.
At one point, it was stuck at bootloop.
I tried following the dload method to restore the phone but it didn't work.
Can anyone please help me un-brick my phone?
There are so many tutorials and many roms, I don't know what to follow.
If I go to huawei service center, will they help me?
Please guide me
Thanks

Yes I have sd card in my phone.

I am able to go to rescue mode. I tried dload method with 2 more ROMs but it failed at 5%.
HONOR 8 Firmware (FRD-L02, C675B130CUSTC675D002, India)
HONOR 8 Firmware (FRD-L02, Android 6.0, EMUI 4.1, C675B160, India Channel)
These are the roms I tried.
I also tried fastboot erase & flashing the images in fastboot and rescue mode.

Thank you for the suggestion.
From where to download these roms. In the official site I could see only two roms.
Can you share the link or the site from where I can download these roms?
How I am trying to install is just place the update.APP inside dload folder and then pressing the 3 buttons.
Let me know if it's okay
Thanks

Oh And Extract It So You Can Get Update.app

Since You Have TWRP You Can Download The Other File In The Website I Gave,
Steps
1. Get The 2 Files Fron The Website.
2. Flash The Other File First That Is Not The Update.zip
3. Next Flash Update.zip
4. After Finish Dont Click Reboot System
5. Go On Main Menu And Click On Reboot And Click On Recovery
6. Once In ER Recovery Click Factory Reset
7. Boot Up Your Done.
8. Can Take 5-11 Minutes
9. Once Finishing Your Set Up, Update Your Phone. Dont Try To Root It Yet Until Your On Latest Version
Or Basically You Could Follow These Steps

Thank you so much brother
You saved my phone and me.
I tried again with the dload method and it worked. Earlier it was connected to the laptop, maybe that was an issue.
I flashed BOOT, RECOVERY, RECOVERY2 and SYSTEM.
Then I updated it using the three buttons using dload.
There's no keyboard in this rom. I am trying to install another one.
Thank you so much again

Oh In ER Recovery You Will Need To Do A Factory Reset And So You Have A Keyboard. If You Dont Do This You Wont Be Able To Update. You Wont Have All Apps That EMUI Has.
This Happened To Me Before

My phone was crashed yesterday & it's now bricked! I can still enter into TWRP but I don't remember what ROM I was on!! I tried flash each one stored in the SD card but none worked! Every time after the reboot it just stuck on the "Your device is booting now.." screen.
My phone is NXT-AL10, the bootloader is unlocked, I have 4 ROMs stored in the SD card: EMUI5.0 B575,B577,B587,B589, they're all Kangvip Roms
Tried several times to flash in TWRP but none works! Really have no idea what's wrong, please help! Thanks
