Hello all,
I have been going slightly mad today trying to get my mate 7 2GB back from CWM to stock recovery. The main problem is that I do not have a stock recovery image. But after being shown where to find one, I noticed that I could not get it successfully flashed either.
Since I do not really know how to do this, I used flashify, but that did not work and either returned me to the CWM or sent me to rescue.
Can someone help me to a) get a stock recovery image for the Mate 7 version MT7-L09 and b) show me how to properly flash it?
Find stock recovery is easy.. only a question why flashify don't work for you? It work fine for me... your device is rooted?

Hi @dzjero86, my device is rooted and I am on the B137SP03 version atm, using CWM. Don't know why Flashify is not working for flashing a recovery image. It works fine to flash a CWM recovery. Maybe I have the wrong stock recovery... If you can find it, can you send me the link or add it as an attachment here?
Please guys help me to . i have that same problem i have been trying to flash the stock recovery again but i couldn't even with flashify after i flash i takes me to bootloader screen and it shows me a fun_error message
I have a tl-10 device

A way to find the stock recovery is : download the whole B137SP03 Rom from the Huawei site , and use a tool called "Firmware unpacker for Huawei" whit this tool you can extract the recovery.img from the Rom and try to flash it using flashify

Do you tried flash via fastboot ?
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Or try to use this tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mat...custom-recovery-tool-mt7-l10-l10-mt7-t3022424
This should work.
The fast boot just stucks at waiting for device
And the tool you send says that the stock recovery works only on tl_09 and my device is tl_10

Ok, I couldnt access your firmware unpacker, but I did manage to use the tool you suggested.
I have a different recovery screen, but is this the right one? It has EMUI large in centre screen and the options reboot system now, wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition.
If this is the correct one, and I am already on the D137SP03 ROM, I should be able to locally update right?
I tried this, and got a lot further this time, but my phone gave an error message during the update. Do I need to flash the original B137SP03 rom again, even though I am already on it?
I think you maybe can flash using adb commands and also you need adb drivers working

That's right... you have stock recovery... sometimes the update fail if the UPDATE.APP is on the internal storage.. try to flash from a micro sd card or re-download the update ....

No luck so far.... I've downloaded the update.zip, put it in my mnt/ext_sdcard/dload folder and start the local update. It begins OK, as the progress bar moves along. But after about 25% it shoots to the end, and then I get an update failed screen with a red exclamation mark.
What could I try to get it to work??

Great! It does seem strange I had to reinstall the B137SP03 rom, but that did the trick!

Sorry man , baseband errors normally result in no mobile network and ability to make phone calls :/. When I flashed marshmallow on my phone , it said not found next to baseband. You may want to fully flash MM then when it gets to bootloader unlocked screen , wait a few minutes. If it does nothing, try flashing twrp recovery and flashing a lollipop custom rom.

Mate , no one noticed that you are trying to flash the ota zip in recovery. you are not meant to do that. Flash it using Fastboot. Go download Motorola device manager to get the right drivers, and get minimal adb and fastboot, when you have done that, come back here !

Try using mfastboot instead of fastboot, go with 6.0 firmware, make sure you flash all sparsechunks included. Baseband should be restored

Look on the MoDaco site. There is a guy called Paul O'Brian on there and I think he has something to do with Honor.
He claims that the Honor is unbrickable.
Google MoDaco go ask him how to sort your phone.

*What firmware did your phone have before the problem?

Well, that's your problem, you can't flash the stock Rom via a custom recovery.
Try this, get the huawei firmware finder tool. Find the FULL version of the OS. I think the onky one for L04 is B162.
Then load it using the dload method. Should fix your problem.

Don't worry, your phone is not hard-bricked is probably just soft-bricked specially if you can get into bootloader.
Here is the full Marshmellow EMUI4.1 firmware for your FRD-L04C567 phone

Have you tried this steps?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-fix-boot-loop-bricked-honor-8-t3545202
The reason you are getting stuck at booting is because your boot.img got rewritten when you tried to install the new firmware. I think if you extract stock recovery.img and recovery2.img from the B162 full update and flash those through "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and "fastboot flash recovery recovery2.img" Then you should be able to use the dload method.

Wow! That procedure should have worked. Don't know what else I can recommend you to do.
I mean, if you have access to the bootloader then your phone is just soft-bricked. Hope someone has a better option than I do. Good luck. Sorry I couldn't help you more.
If you have access to boatloads you can reflash the stock recovery and then use the dload method.
Hey, i think i can help u because i've got my honor 8 bricked (FRD-L09) and this steps help me and it works, all u got to do is the steps from this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70620803&postcount=9
at the step 2. extract also the " RECOVERY2.img " and flash it at the step 4. " fastboot flash RECOVERY2 RECOVERY2.img " and then u should be able to use the dload update (Volume Up + Power button), when u do the update it will fail (at a certain pourcentage like 85% i think) it's totally fine, u simply have to go into the recovery and do wipe data/factory reset and reboot, and it work again.
Can you flash twrp from fastboot?
Also if you can't get into recovery try reading this: htt p:// ww w.modaco.c om/forums/topic/377629-honor-8-button-combinations-clarified/ (remove spaces!)
I have almost hard bricked my honor 8 but I managed to unbrick it by fully shutting it down, then booting into erecovery and factory reset.
Just a side note you should charge your phone to at least 30% battery before trying anything

Hi guys i need a big help
I'll try to explain all but i'm not good in English
i bricked my honor 8 L09
it happened when I tried to restore a twrp backup. Twrp can't continue the restore because "cust" can't be extracted
So i tried to restore the backup deselecting cust part
And this was my error
Bootloop
So i tried:
-restored others backup -FAILED-
-used Huawei eRecovery : "getting Package from server failed" -FAILED-
-flashed roms, aosp and emui based, marshmallow and nougat based: can't flash -FAILED-
-flashed boot.img, system.img, recovery.img nothing worked -FAILED-
-extracted cust.img and flashed via adb folllowing this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/how-restore-cust-partition-t3356769/page2 flashed but nothing works -FAILED-
But now is worse, because i can't get into twrp but only in eRecovery (that doesn't work), and adb flash don't work
What can i do?
Maybe a huawei/honor repair shop can help me?

If u are talking about the guide I linked, I did all steps (my bad, I think that this is the problem, because the modified file in this guide block me from wipe)
EDIT: just tried to flash via fastboot all the .img one for flash but every single time it says "failed. Command not allowed"
Bro go to twrp > advance wipe (all )
If error again reboot again and format data and again advance wipe.
Now flash this link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwXB-CJiljwpS1o4UXo5b1JlRjQ/view
After that do a reset and reboot ,you will be successfully unbricked

If error again reboot again and format data and again advance wipe.
Now flash this link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwXB-CJiljwpS1o4UXo5b1JlRjQ/view
After that do a reset and reboot ,you will be successfully unbricked

If you are going back to stock use the same version as the one you have been using.

But a dont know, where a found it, i am lost in this stock roms
EDIT:
Bootloader I have unlocked if it unlocks on the phone in the developer options section and tick the OEM, so I have it right.
I managed to install the TWRP Recovery, where everything worked, I also flashed superSU and after the restart, my phone either stops on the introductory samsung logo (without animation), or starts booting, but it pops out to me, that recovery has failed, the device can not be restarted. The integrity check failed. You must reset the default device settings. This will erase all your data. And completely down in the middle of the screen was displayed the reset dialog, when I clicked on it, the phone went into restart stay on the opening logo (samsung galaxy s8 +) and nothing goes wrong. Twrp can not be reached after the combination of buttons to enter the recovery.
So I'm back at zero again

Hey guy, I'm trying to port lineage os 14 & 15 to the S8 Pro, do you have experience with twrp, flash etc.? You could help with being my beta tester, next I'll put some betas on android file host, and make a forum here on XDA for the phone
Does anyone have a link to the twrp img file, or any other custom recovery, i cant find it anywhere, all the links just point to the flash tool but it doesn't contain the twrp img file?

Just google ulefone s8 pro 4pda.
You need to let translate by google, because of different language.

Doesn't work with the firmware V3.01 and V3.03. Getting in the recovery works fine, but booting the system is impossible. The boot stay stuck at the "S8 Pro With android (something)" splash screen.

Something like this has happened to me too. Boot your phone on twrp then select the option 'Wipe', then "Format data", my phone only booted up after I did this

Tried wiping then 'format system', still didn't work, stays stuck at the boot logo, bit thanks for the help anyway.
It rebootq only to a green TWRP!

Hi, thanks for your help, seems I missed the noverity.zip part. What is the noverity.zip and how did you install it? (flashed via TWRP, ADB or using the tool?) Could you link the tutorial you used?

That noverity.zip disables a mechanism in the boot partition that verify the boot itself and the system partition, when you install twrp a little bit of the boot partition is altered and so the boot is blocked.
Install the zip using twrp. You can take a look at this (https://www.getdroidtips.com/twrp-recovery-ulefone-s8-pro/), but if I remember well, that s8 pro toolkit app is the one that asks you to install the zip

which firmware version are installed on your phone? Have you tried flashing the official ROM from the ulefone site, then retried the process?
Have tried on both v3. 01 & v3. 03 firmwares. Stock firmware wasn't downloaded directly from ulefone site, imagine it will be the same but will give it a go.
