Hey guys, i recently notice my moto g rotates the screen way too often i wish it would, across the whole system, rom writing messages to pictures and everything, including of course games (i play just one, not really a gamer). It started getting on my nerves and i wanted to recalibrate the sensor so it stops rotating the screen every time i put the phone in a slight uneven position. There is no such tool in settings. Is there any solution regarding this ? i am rooted so ill take anything. Thank you !
I just deactivate auto-rotation on all my phones, it's annoying.

thx for the tip but i prefer to keep it active, sometimes i do want to rotate my screen. i just to know if i can calibrate it somehow. Anyone else ?
Same problem here. It's waaay too sensitive.
Yeah, I noticed that too. I just keep it off most of the time and enable it only when needed (which is not that often).
Perhaps you could try leaving the phone's auto rotation off and using a tasker gesture to trigger the orientation change.
Hi, I had the same problem and the only solution I came up to for now was to download an Xposed module called App settings, with it you can choose which apps can use the rotation or choose a specific rotation, I know it doesnt solve the sensibility problem, but at least its not that annoying anymore hehe

I've received my XZ a few days ago from Germany via Amazon.it.
The build, after the updates, is 39.0.A.1.250.
I've a problem whit the double tap to wake up: whit this function in display settings on, when I try to wake up the screen whit my finger on the display I've to tap a lot of time and very faster to wake up the phone.
It's normal? With my old Z3C I was tapping just two times to see the display on.

Same here, it works maybe 50% of the time. Sometimes have to tap faster, sometimes slower.
With my z3 and z5p, it works almost 100% of the time

1 week ago, i go to Sony center and i made an "error report letter". Sony center accepted that this is factory's error. And luckily, i has just changed a new one...........
After changed, everythings looks good. My double tap is very well. (10/10 tap) And i dont sure it is Hardware or Software problem. In my country, many mate has the same problem too. Hope it is Software...... But Same XZ, same Software .... But some unit work good, some work fail...... (

Same problem here.
But if I take XZ in my hand before double tap, then 100% success : it looks like a software problem, too much deep sleep, XZ is lazy !
Seriously, this should be corrected by a Sony update.
Got my new XZ today and I have the same problem. Double tap to wake takes repeated attempts before it will work. Most disappointing.

I've found that this problem only occurs when the screen has timed out by itself. If I press the power button to turn the screen off then the double-tap to wake feature works as intended. If the device is left alone and the screen powers off by itself then the double-tap to wake takes numerous attempts.

Man, very annoying, considering there's no always on feature or an alternative that permits me to read notifications without unlocking the phone.
I'm hopeful that this will be addressed in an upcoming update. Mine usually takes two to three tries of varying speeds.

I would say mine works properly 8-9/10 times. Of the times it has failed, I have noticed it is more frequent when power saver mode is on. I have also noticed it tends to work better when I pick the phone up as opposed to when it is sitting on a flat surface.

same here, also noticed that when I put my device on vibrate it still make sound on the first press and then goes silent.

I think it's just a little bit bug fix and security patch update. After update, Android security patch level has changed to November 1.
Probably fix the dirty cow.

What about the problem with the laser focus reported by some users. Is that still present?
Installing the patch caused my device to brick, the device restarted and now it shows "error" with red exclamation mark.
The device was not rooted or bootloader unlocked.
Use pccompanion to repair your phone.

tried that but it's not working, as soon as i connect the device to a charger or a pc, it keeps rebooting indefinitely and returning to the error screen.
I found someone else reporting the same problem in a very old thread with Xperia Z and the fix was to replace the motherboard.
This is my 1st non-nexus device and i'm starting to really regret it.
Use Androxyde's FlashTool to repair your phone.

When repairing the phone, you have to connect it in flash mode. And i gueds you have installed flash mode drivers already.

How can i enter this "flash mode"? are you referring to recovery or fastboot mode?
The problem is if i connect it to a charger or to pc, it keeps indefinitely rebooting.

Hold volume down button as you plug it in, and until it starts to flash.
After this update Sony Style Cover Touch SCTF10 has much better touch. Now touch works almost every time with Sony Style Cover Touch SCTF10 on.
Double tap to wake and double tap to sleep works every time.
And UI and Android are smooter and a little faster although that wasn't problem before update.

I don't see it on my SCTF10 still the same touch problem. Maybe gloves mode can help it ??
Where can I download this new firmware? And how to install it (my xz is rooted, bootloader unlocked and androplus-kernel v4 and twrp installed)?

No the double tap to wake doesn't work still...

I am experiencing the double tap to wake issue on both 213 and 250 on my F8332. Double tap to sleep works perfectly. Too bad this 3.30 still does not fix the issue. Anyone else experiencing double tap to wake problem on 3.30?
After the recent update of 1059 mb my phone screen is not working fine. I am not able to play fps game easily like I used to do before the update. I have to press little bit hard to shoot or aim and sometimes I have to press twice... It doesn't recognise my touch sometimes.... everything was fine before the update but now it has ruined it all..

Those who don't know there are some people having ghost touch issues on POCO f1 and one guy able to capture it on the video. I personally didn't had the issue but after trying I was able to recreate the issue on my device. soon after I found the cause and able to fix the issue. this may or may not work on your device but absolutely worked for me. this seems to be a software bug. and no-one needs to panic. hopefully it will be fixed in next update.

Steps
1. download a multi touch tester app I used this
2. first do some testing yourself see if you can spot the issue
3. now do 3 finger swipe down (phone will take screenshot)
4. now randomly touch your screen with 1 or 2 fingers you'll notice 1 or 2 ghost touches.
How to fix Fix it?
Steps
1. go to settings>additional settings>button and gesture shortcuts>take a screenshot
2. and set it to none.
3. reboot
that's it!
the issue should be fixed

Thanks! The issue is 100% reproducible with the app. By turning off 3 finger screenshot shortcut, the issue goes away.

1.Yes, that issue is due to the screenshot feature, but shouldn't the phone be able to distinguish between 3 finger touch and more than 3? Either take screenshot on four finger swipe or register it.
2.Can you please confirm if there is accuracy problem in PUBG aiming when you use multitouch? Like the multitouch bugs in Pixel and Zenfone Max Pro but quite subtle, the thing about the other devices are, they look and have been acknowledged by the respective companies regarding the issue but in our case, Xiaomi or Poco is making no announcement or anything.

The issue comes up after taking a 3 finger screenshot, but disabling may not be the only solution as this feature is quite useful also
What I have noticed is that after taking screenshot ghost touch is there till we use 1,2 or 3 fingers. Once we use 4, 5 or higher fingers the issue goes away.
Isn't it better to just touch screen with 4 fingers after taking a screenshot which somehow resets the ghost touch issue.

Stop it! This is not an issue. It happens on mostly every phone that supports gestures. Test it on OnePlus 6 and you will get the same result.

However ill tell for the benefits of the others, it was effecting me while playing games.. specially RPG games where multitouch is heavily use. I was seeing weird behaviours sometimes, when selecting troops.. thts how i came to know

Exactly! There is no need to prove this issue because Google itself confirms that they have done a mistake by releasing it in Oreo and they have also promised to give a fix in later Pie updates. And people who wants proofs can look up in the internet about the "Multi touch Oreo Bug" problem and how it effects user experience rather than spamming here to make a point.

Dude, google fixed the issue in the May or June patch and all other OEM's had to merge their builds to fix it. The problem is not there in MiA1 or MiA2.

Maybe the original solution for 8.1 and P devices will work for this? It will either cause a bootloop, do nothing, or fix it... worth trying! Obviously an unlocked bootloader is needed for this (Magisk).
