Z5 weird behavior : not charging, rebooting on its own and no way to turn it off - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've got a z5 dual e6683 not working properly for 6 months.
Some day, it just started not charging when the phone was on. I waited till battery died, then plugged it in wall charger and it got up to 100%. I managed to start the phone and then it was ok. I charged it a couple of time in 2 days, and then suddenly doesn't recognizes charge anymore... I also can't turn it off; when i turn off, it stops and restarts immediatly in bootloop. I managed to force it to stop by pressing power and both + and - volume but even then its not totally off, it still displays battery level...... Any ideas ?
Thanks

Wait for battery do die completely, then hold volume down and plug usb cable if it turns green then flashmode works and you can flash new firmware, maybe it will fix the issue

no, it didn't fall. I used it whithout any problem during 6 months and then it just strated buging... Sony won't take it under warranty since i bought it from Hong kong (no dual sim version in Europe at the time...)

another symptom is that, when flashtool is done and says disconnect and restart, i disconnect the phone from the computer and it boots on its own...

so... i flashed 11.0.a.5.5 but i forgot to root it, so i downloaded some older firmware. unluckily, something was wrong with that file and i got dump ram message. so... i downloaded other version of firmware and flashed. then, when i tried to turn it on, only green light would few time blink and that was all. so i tried to flash again with that same firmware. and now - when i try to turn it on, nothing happens. tried to turn it in flash mode - nothing. fastboot mode - nothing. something that gives me hope - when i plug it in computer, it detects that something is plugged in, but beside that - nothing happens
maybe battery is dead? it charges when you plug in charger?
Στάλθηκε από το Xperia Tipo μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk 2
i connected it through the night. no led turned on, or anything.
dead?
Maybe you should charge the battery in some other phone or universal charger and then try to get into flashmode.

Problems with my d6633 Z3 Dual

Hallo people,
I have a very big problem with my d6633. I installed tonight TWRP - so fas, so good. After installing TWRP asked me to root the device, I said YES. My bootloader was unlocked. Then I couldn't exit TWRP. After every reboot the device started into TWRP. Now I can not start the device. I tried with Power+ Volume+, reset button - nothing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your support. My solution was to leave the device switched off over the night. Connected via original cable. Today in the morning my dyouzhengwen evice was detected via flash tool and as youzhengwen suggested I could flash the original ftf file.

Sony Xperia Z3 Dual D6633
I have tried just about every method seen. My problem with the flashtool or PC companion is that the phone is recognized by the computer but I can only start to turn the device on which I don't believe it actually boots. Broken display and new display does not power on.
Or it connects in fastboot by holding volume up when connecting. This shows a blue led.
But trying to connect in flash mode by holding power down just makes the led flash red then green continuously.
And for the pc companion it always says the connection was unsuccessful once the led turns green on the device.
I got the phone for only $40 in this condition. So I cannot say what entirely was wrong or what it's last working state was.
I bought a new screen and power flex cable. As well as a back plate and tempered glass protectors. I was going to wait until everything works perfect speakers and all before I sealed it tight with water proof adhesive stickers.
Even before I bought the new power flex the computer recognized it and the battery health and charge %. The battery was able to charge. But I couldn't turn the device on.
The computer confirmed that it had been at 29% after some time charging and then 100% after leaving it on charge.
Now with the new screen and power cable the phone still does nothing if not plugged it. The light was red at first, but then yellow, then after some time green when the battery fully charged. This was again even before the new parts.
I have to plug it in to try anything.
It goes red then starts to turn on and turns green.
But I hear no sound, get no vibrations, the computer only sees it as the phone and shows absolutely nothing on the removable disk. Just blank when I click on the drive volume. But it is seen as an Xperia D6633 phone or fastboot Android device.
I've tried the reset button, holding power and volume up, volume down, all three. Tried my factory cable. Different cables, different ports, uninstalling it from service manager and letting the flash tool recognize and install it.
I also tried the new display on the old power flex and the old display on the new power flex.
Nothing changed, no vibrations, no sounds, system never actually fully starts as far as I can tell, and cannot connect in flash mode only fast boot. And the flashable file is only seen in flash mode. Fastboot can only see the folder but it is ready to flash files as far as I can tell.
@xdathekilljoy
That's a lot of money you're putting into an (apparently) broken phone Brave!
Okay so what happens if you hold Vol+ while it's shut down and then connect it to USB, the LED turns blue, right?
So why does flashing it from there on not work?

Well it didn't seem that broken at first and both it and the display were only about 37 piece. Power flex was almost 10. Seemed like a rightful price.
Yes the led turns blue and it is in fastboot mode. The flash file seems to only be readable for flashing in flash mode "volume down". I can see the folder of the flash file in fastboot mode " volume up ", but not in a flashable format.
And when connecting " volume down " it fails a connection while the led just flashes green to red to green to red continually
Two updates
1. I thought I should mention that when I do plug the phone in to a charger or computer the top does get a bit warm or hot as well as the led turns on. Different color depending.
2. With much fiddling and trying if holding the volume down button for different lengths of time while connecting up a computer I finally got it to connect in flash mode and flashed a file...... No change.
At this point maybe I should try a new battery for the hell of it even though this one seems to be working.
Or there is a minute hardware damage somewhere. Maybe the power ic? Or s capacitor?

Xperia Z5 not booting up/red blinking light after update = Bricked?

Hi gang,
My Xperia Z5 (E6603) would not boot up after the latest update. I'm guessing it must've died during the update.
I tried:
Reset (Pwr + Vol+/-) and OFF button in sim card tray. All reset attempt was done several times with and without the simcard tray.
I noticed the phone did not vibrate when I tried Pwr + vol+ or with the OFF button by itself. It only vibrate when the OFF and Pwr button were held down simultaneously.
To rule out it was battery, I let it charged for almost 2 days now without any success. I still get the slow blinking red light and no solid red or orange or green light indicating the device is fully charged. I also check the integrity of the battery at the stored and it is at 4.0 V, so I believe the battery is not the problem.
Unplugging battery method: Tried unplugging the battery and connect to the computer then plugged it back in with no luck.
Flashtool was not recognized after holding Vol- and connect to the computer.
I also tried different charger and usb
i read from many forum that the battery needs to die in order to reset the kernel. Should I just let the battery discharged? Or are there others ways that are more efficient?
I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Go to phone repair outlets in your city, not in Sony Service Center. usually they can fix hardware problem. I dont know what software are used. I only know with Jtag can repair bootloader via test point.

not sure. locked or unlocked should work, because the files inject directly to emmc
by the way, have you try to change another battery?
ave you tried to boot the phone into download mode?
Have you tried the actual Sony Tool and the Recovery-Process?
With that i unbricked my Z5 from that symptons i think 2 or 3 times already after the flash went somehow wrong because it stopped midway.

Another thing - on my Laptop i can't access fastboot mode because it restarts everytime (showing the blue led and then it reboots), therefore i have to attach the Z5 to the Dockingstation.
But it seems like it is completeley dead right?
just to be sure - press and hold vol up and then connect your usb-cable. If the LED stays blue - gg
Then you just have to install the fastboot driver in Test-Mode (reboot to f8 and deactivate the Enforced Driver Signature) and then you may be able to atleast flash or better first boot the phone with a new kernel. If the boot works and then crashes you have your first step to unbrick the phone.
fastboot boot "kernel-image"
Altough i don't have any idea which Kernel you should choose

Given it's not responding to that, and no lights when plugged into power, I'd say it's probably hard bricked and unrecovaerable. That's the risk when playing with things like dual boot etc I guess. Or just bad luck.
