[Completed] Bricked My Samsung Tab S2 - XDA Assist

So. . .with too much time on my hands I decided to play with a Samsung Tab S2 I had laying around and doesn't get much use. The specific model is SM-T810, running Android 6.0.1
Hearing much about the advantages of rooting the device I figured I would give it a try. Although there is a load of into on the 'net about this, I still found much in the way of confusing information. Nevertheless, I forged ahead and, sure enough, I am now looking what I assume is a dead on arrival tablet. The screen is locked with the dreaded "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing" message in the upper left corner.
Am I effed? Is this now a throwaway item? My new beer mug coaster? Or is there a way out of this root hell I have created? Thanks in advance for any help.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Don't worry your tablet is fine, the seandroid message is normal, it means you have a custom recovery installed. To root your device you only need to flash this file here with odin
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/root-cf-autoroot-tab-s2-sm-t3187202
The easiest way to fix your device is to just use kies/smartswitch emergency firmware recovery or you can flash twrp and a custom rom from here

Good luck

I don't have a gTab, but if it's like other Sammy devices and you can get to download mode...you should be golden. You should be able to flash via Odin, if I'm correct. Just read more about how exactly to do it, and don't eff it up!
But seriously, if you can get to DL mode...and if it's like Sammy's phones, you're still good.
EDIT: You're in luck. It is quite like Sammy phones. Sounds like a 'soft-brick'. Read here. There's also a video-tut on how to repair it.
Check out sammobile. They'll have much useful information there, for you.
And lastly, you'll probably have better luck in the future posting this in the gTab forum. Good luck!

[Q] Need help to update Samsung Galaxy S III I9300

Hello folks,
i am new here, i have a problem with one of my friends mobile Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 Android v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), it so happened he dropped the mobile from his hand and from that moment, the device fails to load properly.
I tried to go to Recovery mode, by pressing Power key+DownVol key+Home key. The next screen was all fuzzy, it didn't show anything.
So i tried Power key+UpVol key(this time)+Home key, it showed a warning page, please see images to be more clear.
On continuing with the process, it went to Download mode.
I am little familiar with that process, since it is trying to update the device OS to a newer version of Android.
I did a little research and found out there was Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat available.
I can proceed to download that, but i want to know few things and i.e.,
The device is not Rooted.
CWR is not installed.
Whether it is safe to proceed with the update of Android Ice Cream Sandwich to Android Kit Kat.
I also found Galaxy S III can be updated to 4.3 (Jelly Bean), but i want your opinion which would be suitable for this device.
Thanks.
I do not want to brick my friends device, since i am getting paid to do this stuff. Hence i am requesting any kind of expert advice.
Thank you.
P.S: Any suggestion is welcommed and waiting for any reply impatiencly. Also if the moderator thinks this post must be in some other part of the forum, please do so. :fingers-crossed:
Hello again, i did a little research and found out this site, where it mentions in detail how to install ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.4.7 on Galaxy S3 GT-I9300
http://trueandroid.com/install-clockworkmod-recovery-6-0-4-7-on-galaxy-s3-gt-i9300-how-to/
I did as mentioned in the tutorial and while opening the Odin, and checking the AP button, and selecting the non touch version of ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.4.7 ; i am getting this error. Please see the snapshot.
It also say, PIT partition not found, does anyone know how to figure out this problem.
Or
Is it a hardware issue, do i need to change the motherboard or give it to technician to fix it.
First off: Have you tried posting it under the correct category on this forum? its under galaxy core... you have a galaxy S 3
Second, you can update if it stock... custom recoveries and roms do void warranty. That is, if the kitkat is for his phone it is no problem. upgrading wrong rom to your phone will mess with it yes. Boot loops and stuff.
Then again, if it droped I would rather have sent it in for repairs if it was still under the warranty .

I find it quite difficult to find my way in this forum, just newbie here.
But thank you for your concern. My friend has taken the mobile , he thinks its better to repair it by technician.
Enough of head-ache for a device that can't be repaired through updating, the mobile was trashed. Couldn't be salvaged through
updating.

I understand.
On top of the page there are 2 places you can enter stuff, one says "type to find device" and the other for searching all the forums. Writing i9300 - and clicking on the line - will get you the I 9300 forums

NEED HELP!! phone rooted through ONE CLICK ROOT

OK, so the phone (SGH-S959G/Straight Talk) got rooted properly.... through ONE CLICK ROOT, BUT, I lost my ability to connect to wi-fi & cannot seem to fix that. I also have TWRP on it because everything I read says I cannot get CWM for it. I am an idiot when it comes to doing this kind of thing, so be gentle with me!! I cannot get a custom rom on my phone, I tried to use cyanogenmod, but when I go into TWRP & do the install, it goes through the process then just says "FAILED" in big red letters at the bottom. I did check the box about the signatures & it still failed. All I wanted to do, was to upgrade the android version from the 2.3.6 to whatever the highest one available for this phone (I believe that is 4.1.2). So if anyone can help me finish getting this thing usable, I would greatly appreciate it!!

Soft Brick no matter what ROM

I'm a nub at this so forgive me for asking the stupid questions. I just did all the steps to root the phone and install a custom ROM. When my phone boots, it has the red text in the top "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING". But the main problem is the boot gets stuck on the "SAMSUNG" logo just pulsing brighter and dimmer. I've searched for several hours and can't find any posts that talk about this recently (in the past few years). At this point the phone is unusable. Please help or link me to another thread that I may have missed.
Thank you.

I figured it out by realizing the ROMs I was trying to use don't work on the N920P. However, I want to thank you for showing me where I can find the stock ROM because I was having a difficult time finding that! So far so good on this ROM, ended up going with the MoAR v4.2 for now.
Thanks again!

Greetings and welcome to xda. The kernel is not seandriod enforcing is normal when you have rooted your phone and nothing to worry about. If you want to return your phone to normal then just reinstall your stock firmware with odin or kies.
If you ask here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/help
the experts there will be able to help you
Good Luck
