[Completed] Novice to rooting, screwed up big time. NEED HELP! - XDA Assist

Wanting to try to root my Galaxy Note 5 from U.S Cellular, number - SM-n920r4. Watched a simple video and ended up screwing up my phone. I can't get off of the screen with the note logo and above it says "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing". I have no idea what to do. I need my phone though, and probably should've have thought this through. Is there any way I can fix this? I dont care if I have to erase all of my data. Please help me get my phone back to normal. Greetings and welcome to xda. The kernel is not seandriod enforcing is normal when you have rooted your phone and nothing to worry about. If you want to return your phone to normal then just reinstall your stock firmware with odin or kies.
If you ask here

the experts there will be able to help you

[Solved] Repair a possible brick (Galaxy S 4G) (Bad Flash)

I've flashed quite a few androids with custom ROMs, all successful except one brick was beyond repair. Then my brother asked me to root and flash a custom ROM to his T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G (Model: T959V). So I gave it a shot. Rooting was successful, but trying to get Clockwork Recovery on the phone, it confused me and I definitely messed up. The screen is discolored like a bad tv reception. One picture is what it's currently stuck on, and the other is showing I can still load it into the yellow download screen. My question is, is this fixable? If so, how?

Problem solved thanks to stephen_w here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405489 and chadster214 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183413. Problem solved with Odin 1.85. Give them thanks if you ran into this problem and these people helped you as well.
Glad that you could get things resolved! I hope that you enjoy your "new" phone, especially as you now know how to recover from things. You might want to look at heimdall as well, especially if you start playing with other custom ROMs and kernels.
When you have a chance, if you change the "[Q]" to "[solved]" or the like, people will easily be able to tell that there is an answer on the thread. Perhaps it will be the one they are looking for themselves!

[Completed] Verizon Galaxy Note 3 BIG ISSUES

Hey all, I'm new to the forum (although I've been crawling around for years without a name)
I recently got hold of a Verizon Galaxy Note 3 SM-900V from a buddy of mine who bricked it or something. I have great experience rooting my devices so I figured I'd take it from him and try and get it working.
I'm not 100% sure what he has tried to flash, and hasn't but I'll tell you where my issues are, maybe someone can help!
Device doesn't go passed the Verizon screen. The bootloader is unlocked, but by the looks of it he did NOT install any type of Recovery System other than the original Android one. I've tried to see if I could flash any on the device, but it appears I can only use SafeStrap, and in order to install the device must power fully on. I've gone into the normal Android Recovery, deleted Cache, and Data/Factory Reset multiple times. Still goes to Verizon Screen.
Than I figured I'll just push 4.4.2 back in through Odin. Nope. I have the stock firmware and everything, but it stops on Odin at Aboot and my phone will say Fused 3 Binary 2? I'm really lost on that, I know it's due to the bootloader being unlocked.
It seems the only thing in Odin that will pass is the "unified KK Firmware." I'm kinda at a lose on this phone (luckily it was free) but I really would like to get it working.
Thanks in advanced and I really appreciate all the hard work everyone does here.
I'm really stuck on this.
I can't load stock, I can't recover, I can't factory wipe. Anyone?
What version do I flash? NC4? MJE?
Also, when I try and flash with stock recovery (since my buddy didn't install Safestrap) I get a error message. I believe it's footer is wrong -signature verification failed. I'm not sure what this means?
Thank you guys. I'm sure I can get this phone to work since I can get it to turn on, it's not a full brick.

I really appreciate the help. I'm going to check it out and hopefully be good to go from here. Will update this thread with the info if it goes through, and if it doesn't I will be posting in the other. Again, thank you so much!
Ugh... Still no go. Same thing.
It fails at the aboot.mbn
Again...asking for help in that thread is your best bet.
I think there is something wrong with my bootloader. Is there a way to reset or lock it? I tried everything, it won't load past the red verizon screen.
I'm noticing my little Android in the back of Recovery Mode says "No Command" also. Kinda strange.
XDA Assist is here to help guide members to where they should be able to find help. We don't do support I'm afraid. Please ask in the thread I linked. And again, they know your device best.

[Completed] [Q] Please help, I tried to root my Galaxy S4 and screw it up.

Ok,so I wanted to root my phone and I totally screwed it up, it gives me an error code "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" and the it says "set warranty bit:kernel" I there any way I can restore it back to what it was. It doesnt matter if it goes back to factory settings, I just want my phone back. Its a T-Mobile Galaxy S4 and was on 4.4.4. Please, I'm a noob at all this so a easy step by step guide would really help. I have Odin and KIES is that helps. Thanks.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You'll probably have to return it to stock using Odin. See your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile. They are the experts on your device. Particularly see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419828

[Completed] Bricked My Samsung Tab S2

So. . .with too much time on my hands I decided to play with a Samsung Tab S2 I had laying around and doesn't get much use. The specific model is SM-T810, running Android 6.0.1
Hearing much about the advantages of rooting the device I figured I would give it a try. Although there is a load of into on the 'net about this, I still found much in the way of confusing information. Nevertheless, I forged ahead and, sure enough, I am now looking what I assume is a dead on arrival tablet. The screen is locked with the dreaded "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing" message in the upper left corner.
Am I effed? Is this now a throwaway item? My new beer mug coaster? Or is there a way out of this root hell I have created? Thanks in advance for any help.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Don't worry your tablet is fine, the seandroid message is normal, it means you have a custom recovery installed. To root your device you only need to flash this file here with odin
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/root-cf-autoroot-tab-s2-sm-t3187202
The easiest way to fix your device is to just use kies/smartswitch emergency firmware recovery or you can flash twrp and a custom rom from here

Samsung Galaxy J3 Bricked? (SM-J330F)

Hey Guys!
i really hope you can help me. Im already sitting here for 3 hours and its only getting worse. So i wanted to root my J3 2017. I installed TWRP and then i wanted to install Magisk. After installing Magisk via TWRP my phone wanted the unlock PIN for starting. Like the Code you can set to start your phone for security purpose, i hope you know what i mean. So i typed in my code and thought my phone would start but suddenly the phone says my Code is wrong and i need to do workstation reset (code was 100% correct). I did that and it still appeared. I was still able to get into TWRP. After trying to solve my problems, im now to the point where my Phone is 24/7 On and is showing me "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software".( i dont know how to shut that off and i cant take out the battery). Before that screen came. I tried to install various firmwares via Odin but it never "passed". So now im sitting here with no ideas what i can do and really hoping that i can still fix my phone, especially becaues it was a gift... I really hope somebody can help me. Thank you very much for reading. :crying:
Edit1: Sorry if im in the wrong section
Edit2: I swear i did everything and nothing worked. I went to eat something and cry came back and now it installed the firmware. Like i dont even know like somebody explain me this troll pls.... Thanks anyways guys. GN8
