Hello,
I'm looking to buy a stylus for note taking and some drawing, stylus with pressure level and palm rejection are a thing on iPad, but all stylus with those feature are only compatible with iDevices.
I also read some news about the pressure level support for Android N, so, for exemple, is the Adonit Pixel now fully compatible with the Pixel C on Android N ?
Or if other stylus are fully compatible with thoses main feature on android ?
Thank you.
I have a adonit Josh pro. Palm rejection is a dream, and also othere features. Don t know if adonit pixel support it. R u a student? Cause when i bought the pixel c i was thinking that i could take notes while at lesson and other thing. But know i just have this stylus that don't do his job, also writing with word it's terrible for taking notes too. I was thinking on selling this and buy something better. Yes,it's best android tablet, depends on what you need.
Don't want to raise hopes but this page http://global.geniusnet.com/pens with a "Coming Soon" caveat shows a USB rechargeable pen with retractable nib and Android and iOS logos. NO EVIDENCE of touch sensitivity or why it is powered.

Ok so, i received the Adonit Pixel and for sure, it's not working with Android
The pen is correctly paired but when i enable palm rejection in mediabang, the pen won't draw or anything else.
And when i enable the pen pressure on all application, the line is extremely thin.
I also tried to pair it with a Windows 10 tablet, the pairing fail.
I returned the pen and still hope to have a fully compatible stylus in the future

I never had another pen than the Adonit Pixel, but if i don't turn it on, the pen is not working (i mean it's like a wood stick, no touch action while it's turned off)
I'm sad to see that still no one is making a bluetooth stylus for Android, but thank you for trying the Adonit Pixel for us!
I used to use a Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch drawing tablet over USB with my Nexus 10 but there seems to be a bug (maybe in the kernel) and it doesn't work with the Pixel C. I've sent feedback to Google but I am not encouraged by their failure to deliver the more mainstream HDMI out feature. If it were to work again the tablet offers great responsiveness and Android handles the pressure sensitivity very well. It's not as portable though...
Tablets would be so much better with a proper stylus. I used to write hundreds of pages on my Samsung Note 10.1 before it died... Now I have Pixel C and miss that ability. I have bad experience with Adonit though.

Hello
Toshiba's presence at MWC was kicked off today by launching two new phones with an emphasis on software, not hardware. The TG02 is a direct sequel to the TG01 and is one of Toshiba's first phones with capacitive touch; it uses Windows Mobile 6.5 and is likely to use 6.5.3 to get the new touch features. Custom changes have been made to the interface to bring in a 3D menu for navigating apps.
The phone is functionally very similar to its predecessor and uses a 1GHz processor as well as a 4.1-inch screen size, though unlike the old model it uses OLED instead of LCD. A microSDHC slot gives room for 32GB of storage in the 0.39-inch thick handset.
A companion, the K01, is more original and carries a slide-out keyboard in return for a thicker (0.51 inches) body that keeps the same processor, screen and storage.
Ship dates and the costs of either phone are still mysteries and won't become public until closer to launch.

We can notice spb mobile shell on toshiba tg02, is it a lite version ? Toshiba may wants to give a better image of its mobiles, and a good interface like spb could help !
-> What do you think about these 2 new devices ?
-> Do you think toshiba could hold in the battle ?
This could be my next device

the K01 is the more interesting of the two devices. 4.1in qwerty device and it's still thin. Judging by the looks of the front capacitive buttons and the snapdragon chipset I'm thinking it will support Windows Phone 7. I wish it had a adjustable hinge like the Touch Pro2, but it has a 4.1in screen so it not a deal breaker for me. As much as I want this phone I'd rather wait to see what HTC will do for the next Touch Pro

I am actually interested in the K01. This is the first qwerty device to have a +4 inch screen. I send big kudos to Toshiba.
Just an FYI, Wacom posted new drivers today, and it appears to greatly improve the pen operations on the Surface Pro. Namely, pressure sensitive apps now actually recognize pressure (for example, Photoshop now works properly with the pen and pressure).

Why? The Surface Pro is awesome! Besides, if you keep waiting for the "next best thing", you'll never get one. To paraphrase Ferris Bueller, tech moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and enjoy the goodies once in a while, you could miss all of it.

I don't usually wait for new products, like Lumia 800/900/920 that I got for the past 1 year.
Its because Intel have already announced their Haswell processor with 3x graphics and even better power consumption, besides its only a month away :fingers-crossed:
Microsoft have said no new surface announcement will be made at build so a haswell version is unlikely.
I'm personally more interested in a bay trail version, especially if it includes an active stylus (no preference for wacom or ntrig from me). Even more unlikely to be announced than a haswell version.

Sent from my Sony Xperia™ Z
Hi all,
I was looking for a replacement Spen for my Note 8 but couldn't find any good (mostly the offset was unacceptable). Then I found a video where some guy (I can't find the video right now. If you know it please post a link and I will add it here) had a great idea of putting Note's 3 Spen inside old ordinary Uniball pen. With that in mind I bought Note's 3 Spen and found few old pens laying around in my office.
Three hours of work and this is what I got:

What I used:
1 x Old BIC pen
1 x PCB push button
1 x Note 3 Spen
some isolation tape
some paper
some plastic part that I used as a distance inside the pen (Spen was shorter than BIC pen)
Things to keep in mind:
Be careful for your stylus! Mine got stuck twice and getting it out was pretty tricky.
Use your tools wisely. You don't want to brake the Spen or cut/puncture your own hand!
I was successful doing this homemade "spen holder" but I am not responsible for any damage or problems that may arise when you try to do something similar. Always use your brain and be sure you have enough knowledge before you start to work.
I thought one might use this idea if you need accurate and nice stylus in "full" size.
PS
One can of course close the pen and then it looks just like ordinary one. The blue tape is just for my information that this one is actually Spen as I am using identical pen for normal paper writing and drawing
Impressive work, love DIY projects
Nice project and very good idea, i will defiantly try something similar because i got used to write a lot on my note 8.0 and spen is not that comfortable for longer usage.
why cant i think of this... good idea my friend... going to get one... hahaha... kind of tired writing with the current spen... going to use the old note 1 spen to try modding the pen...
what's the PCB button for? to activate the s-pen button?
How to make DIY stylus probably for all android/ios device[VIDEO].
NOTE : This is a request from my friend @Sangeet007, that this trick could work on other device ,his thread on XDA portal HERE, So i make a video using our device i.e., galaxy core & Sony xperia sp.
So the credits will given to him to sharing this great idea..!!

Capacitive touchscreens are everywhere these days. They're in iPhones, iPads, iPods, Android/Windows smartphones, and all new tablets. Pretty much any mobile touchscreen device that is worth having, now has a capacitive touchscreen.
The fact that the touchscreens are conductive means that your device will only recognise a touch from your finger (or other body part) rather than, for example, the material in your pocket, or sleeve. This in turn means that you cannot use any old pen or nib as a stylus for your touchscreen.
So, because we're good guys here at PC Advisor - and we want to gain any advantage we can on Draw Something - we've looked into how to make a stylus. As it turns out, you can make your own DIY stylus with a few simple items you have lying around the house - and so long as you have a pulse (and therefor a natural electrical current running through your body) you can make your own stylus in a few minutes…and become the king of Draw Something at the same time.

A COTTON BUD.
ALUMINIUM FOIL (100X100)MM
SCISSORS
5-10 ML WATER
TAPE
PEN
VIDEO IN DETAILS [LINK]
STEPS HOW TO MAKE >>>
1. Remove the ink from the pen.
2. Cut the cotton swab at a sharp angle and insert it into the mouth of the pen. Secure with tape.
3. Wrap the foil around the neck of the pen, a couple of centimeters above the tip of the cotton swab. Wrap tightly, and secure with tape at the top.
4. Moisten the cotton swab with a drop of water. (No, this will not harm your tablet's or phone's screen.)
That's it! Your stylus is ready for use. Note that your finger must be touching the foil at all times, and if your stylus stops functioning, re-moisten it with a touch of water.

Did a quick search and didn't find what I was looking for.
I'm in the Navy and I keep PDFs of all important instructions on my Note 8. I use it all the time at work. I go to a lot of meetings and take notes on a regular 5.5 x 8 inch notepad, I have sticky notes, highliters, and an assortment of pens with me. Im looking for a case that will hold my Note 8 on one side, my notepad on the other side, ans still have slots for pens.
When I first got this I ordered what I thought was exactly what I described above on Amazon. When I got it, turns out the dimensions weren't exactly accurate . It's simply too big to walk around with all day. It's more of what I'd picture an art student would carry around.
I'm looking for something compact, not much bigger than the Tablet itself but with room on the opposite side for a notepad and slots for pens.
Im kicking around a few ideas on Amazon but im afraid to order without the opinion of someone who owns and uses one with the Note 8, in fear of another poor purchase.
Thanks everyone!!
I've been using one of the green "leader book" holders from Rite in the Rain for a little while now; item number C9200A. It's not perfect, and I haven't figured out a way to keep the Note 8 really secured in the binder itself, but there are several pen slots which are big enough to hold a highligher/sharpie/etc, and a few other slots and pockets for smart cards or anything else. And the dimensions are perfect for holding the tablet.
The ones we get from supply (I'm Army btw), come with a packet of inserts that has graphed notebook paper, and fillable pages for things like a 9-line MEDEVAC request, call for fire request, unexploded ordinance, and others. Some of it might be Army specific, but I'm sure you could find it useful too
Anyway, I've been in the same boat as you for awhile, and besides finding some "tactical" (lol) iPad Mini cases/binders, I haven't been able to find much. Let me know if you find something better!
http://www.amazon.com/rooCASE-Samsu...&sr=8-2&keywords=galaxy+note+8+case+executive
This is one other I was looking at, but it doesn't look like it has any room for a notebook. We don't have a supply! But I'll look into what you posted and keep on looking for something. Right now I got a nylon foldable case from the Chaplains that's working well, but having the same problem as the tablet not being totally secure.
Also, it's big!
Thanks for the input!
I use this one. I don't use the planner, but the notepad on top. I then insert the tablet into the pouch below.
