frp lock on in download mode - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

usb debugging turned on. oem unlock turned off. i can only go into download mode and android recovery mode. ive tried flashing stock firmware and it fails giving me [CM] SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 2 ive reading different forums and trying different things. any help would be greatly appreciated

What version are you trying to flash? What version were you on? There was an update that Samsung pushed that blocked flashing older versions. That's what it sounds like to me. Try going to the moar thread and looking for his stock tar files and download the most recent.

@judetie Would you mind telling me why you had to open up a whole new post thread while I was trying to help you on the other thread right here,
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sp...l/frp-lock-marshmallow-cracked-t3356365/page3
Opening new threads on the same exact topic not only does it clutter up our forums with the same topic over and over again, it's also seriously disrespectful to the people like myself who were taking time out of my day trying to help you in the first place in the other thread!!! We don't need or WANT 10 different FRP Lock help threads cluttering up all over and you did was add to that!! I told you want your problem was and gave you a solution to try to fix it and if you don't like the answer then you wait for someone else to offer another idea but opening new threads 10 minutes later because you didn't like the answer I gave you, just so you can try to force quicker responses on xda isn't going to work out for you here because we treat each other respectful and work together!! Thanks for cluttering our forums with the same exact crap!!!

Sorry

Bizarre tri-color screen problem. Can't flash new rom.

I've tried all the different ways of flashing a new rom to my phone however my upload process is always stuck at 0%.
I'm able to boot into my phone's stock ROM after leaving the phone for a few days with the battery disconnected. As soon as I wanna throw in my sim card or try to flash anything to the phone, I get the same problem of unsuccessful flashing.
I've tried flashing via micro sd card, didnt work.
Anybody?

edit: link
the first two links you've provided are useless.
the second one, i am fully aware of and have studied it and tried it.
what other options are out there other then MTTY and micro sd flashing?
I've tried both without any luck.
Like I said, I cannot flash anything to my phone through regular flashing procedure.
What HardSPL are you running? Hit me up on IM, I could try to help you.

the first is the most important because it states forum rules and you should have posted this question in the proper thread instead of starting a new thread. so you need to go ask this in a flashing thread such as the flashing for newbs.

There is a sticky @ the top and threads with relevant info, then post in the relevant thread and not make a new.

It may seem harsh, but this site has almost 1.8 million members, we simply cannot have people starting new threads every time they have got a problem. Especially in the rom development section, which is supposed to be dedicated to the development of new roms, not solving people's phone issues. And especially again, when in the sticky at the top of the page, there is a section dedicated to being stuck in bootloader ( tri-color screen )
It is ironic that the major complaint from new users is that it is too hard to search and find anything on the site. So they instead turn around and start a new thread for their problem, further compounding the problem and cluttering the site with more redundant problems and more redundant posts. And then take open offense when the more senior members who try to curtail this problem by suggesting a little research in lieu of another new thread on an old subject.
I have a similar problem
Hy. My HTC TYTN II is making me hard days. when i restart he blocks in the three colour screen and i have to pray and hope that he will start normaly. And when he finally does it runes as new...till i restart. Could anyone help me. Others said it's a software problem. Ok. what can i do?

Curious, your first post and it is right after two posts by Senior members who pointed out that if you go to the sticky in the Kaiser ROM Development and read the thread about Flashing for Noobs you will find out information that will help you with a problem.
Did you even read the two previous posts?

[Q] Important Help please. Nexus One Rebooting

Hi, I'm quite upset and I don't really know what to do. You see, I bought I Nexus One and since I'm a computer tech (Network is my strong point and I also got a Professional diploma of informatics support)I thought I could go and mod my thing out. Thing is everything worked fine until I downloaded Cyanogen with Rom Manager Premium (Crack3d)and tried to install it. At first it simply shut down the screen, rebooted a few times and restarted normally, then I retried downloading and it brought me to the reboot in recovery mode to install cyanogen popup. Clicked ok and then it rebooted another 3-4 times and when it came back, it was cyanogen splash screen bugging and rebooting in the middle of the loading. I have Android SDK if that changes anything, I just really don't even know how to bring any sort of menu from my pc or my phone.
P.S. I didn't cleared cache and didnt do any backup[thats no that important].
Thanks
-Ed
First, please don't double post. You don't need to start two threads for the same problem.
Second, I'd start by searching the nexus one forum, reading through the wiki, then, if you still have questions or need assistance, posting in the nexus one q&a forum.

What's this 'cracked' thing you mention? I truly hope you're not saying it was a warez copy that you downloaded to avoid paying for it? The App developer posts his work on this forum and would just love to meet you!
You started flashing custom ROMs without doing a backup? Bit unusual for a 'computer tech' with a 'professional diploma' to be so reckless.
Threads closed will deal with it personally

Need help asap

I haven't changed ROMs my phone for over a year but figured it was time for an update (was running froyo up until now). I always flash to stock via odin 3 before a new flash but today I was having a particularly difficult time doing it. After 30 minutes I FINALLY got it odin to register it (one click for eclair with bootloaders) and now I've been waiting for over 45 minutes on "Set PIT file..." and "DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET". No clue what's going on but in the past it never took this long for odin. Can anyone tell me what I should do now? I can provide SS of what odin is saying if that will help.
Also I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, don't know where else to post this.
EDIT: just read the sticky, posted this in the q&a and I"m sorry for posting this in the wrong place.

[Info] Relocking Bootloader to update, then re unlocking

I see a lot of people having problems and lost how to relock bootloader to update via RUU. This is a quick little tutorial. This works with AT&T that I've tested but should work with.others Mods I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place...but it feels right here.
If you are relocking make sure you have SuperCid.....
Open command where your SDK tools are....quick way is to hold shift and right click and choose open command line here. Make sure debugging is checked on. Plug device in charge mode, and type adb command as followed below.
"fastboot oem lock"
Now you should be relocked on bootloader. While in bootloader run the RUU 1.85 exe file and follow instructions....takes about 15 min or so to complete. Once done the phone will reboot. Enable debugging once again under developer options. Got to the HTC dev page to unlock bootloader....follow instructions to unlock....use option all other supported devices..... obtain token to unlock bootloader...I hear you can use the old token but this is how you obtain new one just incase.
Place the token bin file inside your SDK tools folder....fire up command prompt once again, go reboot into your bootloader on phone, connect phone to pc, and type adb command as followed...
"fastboot oem get_identifier_token"
Then select yes on phone....blah blah...phone will reboot...once rebooted enable debugging again, go to power options and turn off fastboot....then power off phone......go into bootloader by holding volume down and power and make sure bootloader says unlocked...if not run token identifier command again...took me two trys to get it.....I've heard others take more tries.....if it says unlocked....reboot phone....flash cwr...you can use the one click recovery on this forum..... Then reboot into recovery and go happy flashing on your now updated device. I'll update later, I was just typing this up real quick at work. I might make a bat tool to make things easier.
There is already a thread started on this topic in the General section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1675312
This same thing is posted in General I believe by a different user and also in every forum thread I've come across today lol.

I agree.
Just my 2 cents, I don't regularly comb the General subforum to add important threads to the Index sticky thread. I'd personally rather guides like this be posted in Development. Although I think its inevitable that some useful info is going to end up in General.
plus, i think a .bat tool would be very helpful in this instance. would love if that could be created.
thanks for your work

I'm seeing that the One X is a different beast and the users are a bit different too, I bet many won't ever even LOOK in Dev.
This helped me out beyond belief! Even if this was on the forum already, I had not seen it. Thanks for the write up.
This totally belongs in this sub-forum. This is related to modifying boot loaders and working around HTC patching the root exploits in 1.85. This is not "General" material.
As far as it being redundant to what is posted in General, how was one to know? Come one guys.
Also OP, You can use the same token that you initially got when you unlocked on 1.82. You dont need to gen a new one. Just throwing that out there.
I had submitted my reply at the same time as the second poster. It just seems like the same info that a lot of other users have posted else where is all.

I posted this guide in GENERAL a few days ago because I felt like there was NOTHING developmental happening here. It is a general how-to on locking and unlocking your bootloader. Nothing new, in a development sense, is happening in this post.
I'm not saying he's wrong, but it's how I felt when I posted this guide in the general section. I suppose it doesn't matter as long as people are finding the help they need.

He also delves into custom recovery and that falls under Development. That is not General. With your line of thought the entire "Unlock Bootloader" thread should be in General too because its not technically development?
Sorry not trying to get into a pissing contest I am just trying to show you a alternative point of view.
But we can agree that the that info is useful regarldess of its location...
My thread got hammered with this question when people were updating my ROM. I wish someone made this thread earlier or at least I knew about it. I rarely look at General. Had I seen your thread I could have sent people over there instead of derailing my thread. Oh well. At least I know where to send them now!
And as far as being duplicates, that's a good! Look at any big sub forum and you will see lots of guides on the exact same subject. Each thread explaining it a little different and some threads putting in videos, others with screenshot. There is nothing wrong with too much info. People learn different ways and with different methods / styles of communication.

Flashing in recovery

What does this mean.i knew you.could update.a zip in recovery but.how do you flash in recovery like a boot animation for example
To use recovery to flash (another term for install) the file needs to be in zip format. Always make sure that the zip you're flashing is made for your phone and Android version. The best thing to do is make a nandroid backup, it's similar to a Windows restore point. It will save you if you flash something that doesn't work.
So do you use the update option to install the zip?
Sounds like you are referring to the stock recovery. Most zips here need to be flashed through a custom recovery like TWRP or philz.

You really need to take about 10 steps back. You've been posting in multiple threads with the same basic questions that should already be known before posting. Please start using Google (answers to all your questions can be found all over the Internet) and read, read, read. Here's the first link you should read: Understanding the Journey. Sorry, but XDA isn't about being hand-fed every answer. Thanks.
I agree with Ramer. When I first wanted to root and customize a phone I spent countless hours reading, and researching, and reading more before I even attempted anything. I then downloaded what I wanted and also what I needed to fix my phone in case something went wrong and made sure I knew how to fix it. I still do the same thing and it has been about 6 years since the first time I rooted a phone. Don't just dive in blindly, be prepared.

I don't know why I try to help. I reported the post.
From the Moderator
To the OP ......... you have not done enough reading or enough self-educating to understand the basics. Because of that deficit in your knowledge, you are struggling to get the gist of the help offered.
Instead, you chose the Troll road and flamed the person who tried to help you ......... not a good choice.......
So, this thread serves little to no purpose anymore......... That said
