hey, you cant without a custom recovery.
as kingroot stopped working on android 6xx , you should need a custom recovery inorder to root your device.

You need to install a custom recovery, from the installed custom recovery, you need to flash super su zip.
if your device got no custom recoveries, then you cant.....

Yes, just install custom rom then you have root. (root build-in custom rom). No need to install superSU, however you need to flash TWRP first inorder to flash custom rom.
Hi guys,
I'd like to flash the latest ota on my shield.
having a rooted device with custom recovery i can't so it normally.
Is there another method to flash this OTA without unrooting?
Thanks

Just flash the newest OTA in your custom recovery.
It will overwrite your recovery with stock recovery however.

already tried.
It asks me if i wanna install an untrusted zip file.
I say yes
and it says unable to verify.
aborted
If you're on a custom recovery + root, then I'm assuming you're no stranger to adb and fastboot commands. You can download the full update (not incremental) from here , unzip, and use the flash-all.sh (or .bat if you're in windows) to flash the full update. You can then flash your custom recovery and superSU after it. You'll probably want to backup your stuff before you do this!
If you're on custom recovery + root because your friend did it for you, go ask your friend! =P

Can anyone help!!
I have rooted my Colorfly G808_4G with king Root and checked it with Root Checker But I cannot seem to find a Custom Recovery for it so I can flash a custom Rom ie Cyanogen.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful,

Yes, but OP can't find cyanogenmod for the device. OP, you won't either. If the bootloader isn't unlockable, you won't. Hate to break this down to you, but cyanogenmod/lineage doesn't support all devices.
GET FOR PHONE ROOT ACCESS

I'm using Magisk (latest version). The easiest and convenient way to root your phone though, you still need to use a custom recovery (TWRP) to root using Magisk and indirectly, your bootloader still needs to be unlocked (if you haven't manage to flash a custom recovery on your phone yet).
Are you using a custom recovery (TWRP) for your phone right now @Tanvir/?
