I have a LG G Stylo that was bought this past summer. My son used it. He got on another plan with another phone now. The LG has been reset. Now he can't get passed the google account login (FRP)to setup the phone for his mother to use. I have tried the online bypasses for this, but it has a up to date rom that options for bypassing has been fixed on googles end. I have tried to boot into download mode holding volume up button and tried volume down button. The only thing i have managed to do is get it to boot to safe mode. It either goes into charge mode or boots into setup screens again. Date of Manufacture is 03\2016

Hello can someone please help me. I have an LG Optimus M and my battery is dead and it is not able to be charged. The only way it does turn on is by connecting it to usb, when I connect it automatically boots up to a screen that says
Fastboot mode started
gpio_i2c: invalid khz: 0
b1: i2c write error
udc_start()
-- suspend --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
and the other option that works is going into emergency mode by pressing Vol+/- back and plugging the usb cable. When I do this I go to a s/w upgrade screen with LG and metro pcs logo. I would really appreciate it if anyone would be able to help me just turn this phone back on..
Hello, I'm sorry you have that problem and my heart if crushed. I would be devastated if that happened to me.
But hopefully this will fix your problem.
I will now teach you how to do a factory reset on your phone this will restore it to factory settings and will unroot it and will bring back all your metro installed aps leaving your phone good as new.
So here is what you do. Shut down your phone. Tnen make it turn on BUT as its turning on hold the Top button on your phone and the volume down button and the home button all at once just keep holding it until you see some thing diffent happening to your phone. You will see a Box open with the little android next to it. once you see that wait a little bit then let the buttons go.
Then patiently wait for your phone to restore itself. (can take as long as 5 minutes) if it works the phone should be good as new. But all your apps will be gone.

can you please make an instruction video of how you do it becuse when my lg optimus m is on fastboot mode it shows this i was rebooting my phone to original factory settings and this started i need help anyone!!!! IT IS ROOTED
fastboot mode started
udc_start()
it is dead and it wont charge!!!
I have found a solution to fix a lg optimus m I dont know if it works on other lf ir works on other lg optimus but the direction are to have a wall charger and your optimus m first connect your charger into phone without battery in the phone and make sure the phone is off at first
Now when your phone says battery required get your battery and keep touching the part of the battery that is gold with the gold part in the phone. keep doing this constanly as the lg logo goes on and off for about 10 times and then put the battery completely and then it should go to the charging image if it doesnt do that then email me at [email protected] for questions
i have the lg doubleplay, a few nights ago i was in root toolbox and clicked the install dsp manager, i rebooted after but it stayed on the lg boot screen, i tried to get a factory reset but it stayed on lg screen after. now all it does whenever i plug it in or push the power button is start to lg screen, powers off, powers on to stock recovery, powers off, powers on to lg screen and stays. i have tried the lg update tool and its recovery but it tells me contact lg, i cannot get into any fastboot mode, emergency mode, download mode, etc. i have tried every button, with and without battery, sim, and sd card in the phone. it all does the same i mentioned above. today i took it to the local cell repair store, kinda blew the techs mind asking him about adb, sdk, fastboot, etc. They suggest replacing the logic board and wanted 100 to do it, i said no, thats something i can handle if its needed. my question is, any ideas on how to fix this? should i get another board or should i send to lg or just get another phone? i had to go back to my gravity 3 and its killing me being on a basic pos but dont have the cash to drop on a new/replacement phone atm
Looking for a quick fix here as I can't go to the service centre and get a replacement until at least Tuesday, and I need my phone working before then. I'm hoping someone else has had the same problem and can help me out.
My Moto G froze and became unresponsive (while I was refreshing my Gmail inbox) and it would not accept any input. I held down the power button and the power menu opened, however when I tried to power it off, it wouldn't accept my touch input. So obviously the next course of action was to hold down the power button for 10 seconds to force a reboot. The Motorola logo appeared and the phone vibrated... then it did nothing.
I tried this a few times and still nothing happened. I am able to boot into the bootloader, but apart from that, the phone goes only so far into the boot cycle before the screen goes black and does nothing.
Motorola's website suggests that if the Moto G becomes unresponsive, and the regular 10 second reset doesn't work, you should hold the power button for 120 seconds and keep it plugged in to a charger. This didn't work either. As of right now, my phone is just sitting here on my desk with what I would call a 'black screen of death.' Help would be appreciated.
I cannot boot into recovery, I cannot access anything. The phone is stock, unrooted, and running KitKat 4.4.2 without any modifications whatsoever. It's about 5 months old now, so it's still covered by warranty and I don't want to void it.

Can you boot into bootloader mode and use adb command from a pc? If yes, maybe you can try to flash a stock recovery img file via your pc to phone.

Would that require unlocking my boot loader though? I don't want to void my warranty, especially considering I did nothing to the phone and it's currently unresponsive.
I am not sure - but my guess is that bootloader needs to be unlocked to install custom recovery to "recover" & backup userdata before flashing the entire original stock firmware; that's usually the first step we see in all those modding guide in different forums online.

I suppose you can also contact motorola support to see if they can help you recover your data before getting the phone fixed or replaced under their warranty program.
I do not normally post on here, just read and learn =) However, I'm having an issue with my G2 for AT&T. I have a Nexus 6 and cracked the screen, I was trying to get my G2 up and running until my replacement gets in. I had CyanogenMod on it but did not turn on the phone in quite a while. Got an update, did that and nothing was working. Could not even get Google Play services working at all. Flashed a random ROM to see if it would help and now I cannot even get into recovery. The phone operates fine, however if I try to do the power button + volume down button to reset the phone, I get to the point where I hit the power button twice and the phone resets. I've selected rebooting into recover a hundred times with no luck, it will get to recovery and before I can hit anything....reboot. Last night I tried to go back to stock with LG Flash Tool (after downloading everything I need to download) but keep getting Fail after unplugging my phone and plugging it back in download mode. I know long paragraphs are not well liked here but i feel i'm sort of o ut of options other than reaching out to you awesome people! Just wanna go back to stock at this point. I've never had this issue where I cannot even get into recovery but the phone work perfectly fine! grrrrrr
Help with LG G3 Turns off During Boot & Unable to Factory Reset (is it a lost cause?)
Hello everyone. This is kind of a complicated issue, and I would love any help I can get.
Back story:
I have a Verizon LG G3, purchased in December of 2014. I never rooted the phone, so it has been stock this whole time. A couple of months ago, the SD card holder randomly stopped working (no spills or drops). I tried multiple, new SD cards, formatted them and everything, but the phone just kept ejecting the SD card, and corrupting them, so I just gave up on it and stopped using an SD card in the phone. This is not the current issue at hand, but I wanted to preface that I've been having issues with the phone.
Fast forward to a month ago. I had my phone plugged into the wall charging, and was not using it. I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my phone turned off. I unplugged the phone and tried turning it back on. It showed the LG logo screen, then the verizon screen, and then just turned off. When I tried powering it again, it did nothing. I pulled the battery, put it back in, and pressed the power button. I got the same series of lg logo, verizon logo, then off. I thought maybe it was a battery issue and took it to a local phone repair shop. They put in a new battery, but got the exact same boot problem I did. I left the phone with them, and they took it apart to see if it was a hardware issue (and the infamous stuck power button issue). When I returned, they told me that they did not find any hardware issues. It also was not an issue of the stuck power button/power button not working. They decided that it must be a software issue. Their explanation was that the phone had probably tried doing a software update and something went wrong. They said they could only fix it by completely wiping the phone and installing the software back on. I was reluctant to go through with it because (1) I would lose all my data (and I did not back it up, my fault, I know) and (2) it seemed like they wanted me to pay almost 100$ for something I could do at home. So I kept the phone and left it alone for a while. Now, it has been a month since the issue began, and I'm trying to see if I can fix it. Here is what I have tried.
1. Tried to power it normally again, but now the phone won't boot past the lg logo screen (no verizon screen, just turns off)
2. Held down the power button and volume down button, and able to get into recovery.
3. Tried safe mode -> boots to lg logo and turns off
4. Tried wipe cache -> boots to lg logo and turns off, does it twice
5. Tried USB debug -> shows the android icon, looks like its working, turns off
6. Finally tried factory data reset -> goes through the "are you sure" screen; select yes; shows android icon, looks like its working, turns off
7. Tried holding down the up button and plugging it into a computer to reinstall firmware, shows logo and turns off
8. When I plug the phone into the wall, it charges normally. Simply won't turn on past that.
I'm not sure what else I can do to the phone. Is there a way to factory reset from a pc or mac without the phone being on? Will I just have to take it to the tech store so they can do whatever magic they seem to possess? I already plan on never getting another android after the issues with this phone (and many androids before this one), but I need this phone to last until December.
Sorry for rambling and thank you for any help!
