Hello can someone please help me. I have an LG Optimus M and my battery is dead and it is not able to be charged. The only way it does turn on is by connecting it to usb, when I connect it automatically boots up to a screen that says
Fastboot mode started
gpio_i2c: invalid khz: 0
b1: i2c write error
udc_start()
-- suspend --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
and the other option that works is going into emergency mode by pressing Vol+/- back and plugging the usb cable. When I do this I go to a s/w upgrade screen with LG and metro pcs logo. I would really appreciate it if anyone would be able to help me just turn this phone back on..
Hello, I'm sorry you have that problem and my heart if crushed. I would be devastated if that happened to me.
But hopefully this will fix your problem.
I will now teach you how to do a factory reset on your phone this will restore it to factory settings and will unroot it and will bring back all your metro installed aps leaving your phone good as new.
So here is what you do. Shut down your phone. Tnen make it turn on BUT as its turning on hold the Top button on your phone and the volume down button and the home button all at once just keep holding it until you see some thing diffent happening to your phone. You will see a Box open with the little android next to it. once you see that wait a little bit then let the buttons go.
Then patiently wait for your phone to restore itself. (can take as long as 5 minutes) if it works the phone should be good as new. But all your apps will be gone.

can you please make an instruction video of how you do it becuse when my lg optimus m is on fastboot mode it shows this i was rebooting my phone to original factory settings and this started i need help anyone!!!! IT IS ROOTED
fastboot mode started
udc_start()
it is dead and it wont charge!!!
I have found a solution to fix a lg optimus m I dont know if it works on other lf ir works on other lg optimus but the direction are to have a wall charger and your optimus m first connect your charger into phone without battery in the phone and make sure the phone is off at first
Now when your phone says battery required get your battery and keep touching the part of the battery that is gold with the gold part in the phone. keep doing this constanly as the lg logo goes on and off for about 10 times and then put the battery completely and then it should go to the charging image if it doesnt do that then email me at [email protected] for questions

i have the lg doubleplay, a few nights ago i was in root toolbox and clicked the install dsp manager, i rebooted after but it stayed on the lg boot screen, i tried to get a factory reset but it stayed on lg screen after. now all it does whenever i plug it in or push the power button is start to lg screen, powers off, powers on to stock recovery, powers off, powers on to lg screen and stays. i have tried the lg update tool and its recovery but it tells me contact lg, i cannot get into any fastboot mode, emergency mode, download mode, etc. i have tried every button, with and without battery, sim, and sd card in the phone. it all does the same i mentioned above. today i took it to the local cell repair store, kinda blew the techs mind asking him about adb, sdk, fastboot, etc. They suggest replacing the logic board and wanted 100 to do it, i said no, thats something i can handle if its needed. my question is, any ideas on how to fix this? should i get another board or should i send to lg or just get another phone? i had to go back to my gravity 3 and its killing me being on a basic pos but dont have the cash to drop on a new/replacement phone atm
Hey everyone, so the situation is like this:
I got this phone today, from a friends girlfriend - she told me that she did a software update to her i9003 and after that it doesent work anymore.
I am not a newbie in playng with roms, had a DHD and now have HD2 so i know how things work.
So, i tried getting this phone into download mode - it didnt work. I left it to charge for ~2 hours and now, when i connect it via USB to the PC, and reinsert the battery - Windows tells me OMAP3630 driver is not found, and then says device not connected. After some experiments - when i replug the battery it shows the OMAP3630 for ~2 seconds and then disapears, i have Samsung drivers installed, but odin does not detect the phone.
Is there something else i can do?
does your phone shows any sign of life after hours of charging... even a flash on the display??? if yes then there is hope if no then it might have been hard bricked.... try opening your back cover there is a tiny pin hole between Camera Lens and the speaker ... use a pin and press the button in that hole.. it is said to be the hard reset button....(now you will need 2 persons for this) now pressing that button try going in download mode simultaneously (volume down+home+power). if you get in download mode flash a stock firmware via odin.. if nothig works then try a jig or J-TAG.
hope this helps
Phone shows absolutely no sign of life. Nothing flashes vibrates or nothing. The reset button doesent give anything too.
Only reaction is when repluging the battery - OMAP3630 driver on PC - and nothing else.
Well im not gotta JTAG it, and jig wont really help if theres no sign of life so.. I declare it dead

Click to collapse
well jig can work... if your phone is in recoverable state it will help... just charge your battery and insert jig and will get your phone automatically in download mode... there is a thread in this forum where you can borrow a jig or buy new one at e-bay(it wont cost you much). Its your call though :silly:
this thread may help you (thanks to saywhatt).
I hope your phone will be recovered:angel:

I was copying a movie onto my H950 when it started to take a long time. I was in a rush so I canceled the file transfer and waited for the computer to finish prompting me about the cancellation. I then unplugged the phone from my computer and noticed that the charging light was still on. I then noticed the phone wouldn't wake up when I pressed the power button. I held the power button and the volume down button to do a hard reset but after the LG start up screen all I got were some random numbers in brackets and "Fastboot mode started" in small text at the upper left hand corner of the screen. The numbers tend to change from time to time.
I have done multiple resets, let the battery die all of the way, recharged all of the way, factory data reset and nothing has changed a thing. When I boot it into download mode it sits there for a minute and by the time the computer sees that it has been plugged in the phone goes back to the black screen with the "Fastboot mode started" text. The computer also only recognizes it as Android Bootloader Interface in the device manager.
It is recognized by the "fastboot devices" command but thats about all I have been able to get out of it. It wouldn't accept flashing a new system image on it either. Please tell me there is still hope. I cant wrap my head around how something so normal could have caused this to happen. It has been rooted for around 6 months and I haven't done anything to the phone sense. I cant even remember what version I was running. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice.
somehow corrupted the laf partition maybe !!
try :
1. fastboot continue
2. fastboot reboot
if it does not work contact LG
i have the same problem with the same variant . tried everything but the kitchen sink .
took it to LG Romania but because its an US device they could not help .
Help with LG G3 Turns off During Boot & Unable to Factory Reset (is it a lost cause?)
Hello everyone. This is kind of a complicated issue, and I would love any help I can get.
Back story:
I have a Verizon LG G3, purchased in December of 2014. I never rooted the phone, so it has been stock this whole time. A couple of months ago, the SD card holder randomly stopped working (no spills or drops). I tried multiple, new SD cards, formatted them and everything, but the phone just kept ejecting the SD card, and corrupting them, so I just gave up on it and stopped using an SD card in the phone. This is not the current issue at hand, but I wanted to preface that I've been having issues with the phone.
Fast forward to a month ago. I had my phone plugged into the wall charging, and was not using it. I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my phone turned off. I unplugged the phone and tried turning it back on. It showed the LG logo screen, then the verizon screen, and then just turned off. When I tried powering it again, it did nothing. I pulled the battery, put it back in, and pressed the power button. I got the same series of lg logo, verizon logo, then off. I thought maybe it was a battery issue and took it to a local phone repair shop. They put in a new battery, but got the exact same boot problem I did. I left the phone with them, and they took it apart to see if it was a hardware issue (and the infamous stuck power button issue). When I returned, they told me that they did not find any hardware issues. It also was not an issue of the stuck power button/power button not working. They decided that it must be a software issue. Their explanation was that the phone had probably tried doing a software update and something went wrong. They said they could only fix it by completely wiping the phone and installing the software back on. I was reluctant to go through with it because (1) I would lose all my data (and I did not back it up, my fault, I know) and (2) it seemed like they wanted me to pay almost 100$ for something I could do at home. So I kept the phone and left it alone for a while. Now, it has been a month since the issue began, and I'm trying to see if I can fix it. Here is what I have tried.
1. Tried to power it normally again, but now the phone won't boot past the lg logo screen (no verizon screen, just turns off)
2. Held down the power button and volume down button, and able to get into recovery.
3. Tried safe mode -> boots to lg logo and turns off
4. Tried wipe cache -> boots to lg logo and turns off, does it twice
5. Tried USB debug -> shows the android icon, looks like its working, turns off
6. Finally tried factory data reset -> goes through the "are you sure" screen; select yes; shows android icon, looks like its working, turns off
7. Tried holding down the up button and plugging it into a computer to reinstall firmware, shows logo and turns off
8. When I plug the phone into the wall, it charges normally. Simply won't turn on past that.
I'm not sure what else I can do to the phone. Is there a way to factory reset from a pc or mac without the phone being on? Will I just have to take it to the tech store so they can do whatever magic they seem to possess? I already plan on never getting another android after the issues with this phone (and many androids before this one), but I need this phone to last until December.
Sorry for rambling and thank you for any help!

Hello there,i am new out here and my native language isn't english so i am saying sorry by now.
My A7 2018 rested on my desk, with 10% battery, and suddently the phone shuts down.It has happened to me before, but somehow i was able to turn it on and didnt have problems since.
Sometimes the phone's battery ran out fast when it was like 30%.
I plugged in the charging cable and it showed me a charging-logo-like thing but i cannot post any links here since i am new.
I thought i drained out the phone's battery and i let it rest and charge for like 30 minutes.
I did a force boot thing where u hold the down and power buttons for 20 seconds but nothing happened.
Sometimes the phone turned on but closed back on at the booting where it showed powered by android.
I plugged in the phone into my computer and into device manager at other devices it showed me exynos7885.Usb debugging is off if that helps.
I called samsung support and they have told me to bring it in for warranty at my phone carrier where i brought it from but i can't bring it in because it is scrached and the camera back glass is cracked so it dosent meets the requirements for my warranty.
I have all my photos, phone numbers, conversations and passwords on it so please help because i didn't back them up!!!(lesson learned)
Please help!!!!
Try reflash stock rom with odin. As you cant get into download mode. You may have to use fastboot to boot into download mode.
its so easy, go to odin mode and make sure that you've already downloaded the stock rom and use odin for flashing. If you dont know how to use just search it on youtube or here in xda for guide.
