LG G Flex 2 stuck in Fastboot mode - LG G Flex 2

I was copying a movie onto my H950 when it started to take a long time. I was in a rush so I canceled the file transfer and waited for the computer to finish prompting me about the cancellation. I then unplugged the phone from my computer and noticed that the charging light was still on. I then noticed the phone wouldn't wake up when I pressed the power button. I held the power button and the volume down button to do a hard reset but after the LG start up screen all I got were some random numbers in brackets and "Fastboot mode started" in small text at the upper left hand corner of the screen. The numbers tend to change from time to time.
I have done multiple resets, let the battery die all of the way, recharged all of the way, factory data reset and nothing has changed a thing. When I boot it into download mode it sits there for a minute and by the time the computer sees that it has been plugged in the phone goes back to the black screen with the "Fastboot mode started" text. The computer also only recognizes it as Android Bootloader Interface in the device manager.
It is recognized by the "fastboot devices" command but thats about all I have been able to get out of it. It wouldn't accept flashing a new system image on it either. Please tell me there is still hope. I cant wrap my head around how something so normal could have caused this to happen. It has been rooted for around 6 months and I haven't done anything to the phone sense. I cant even remember what version I was running. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice.

somehow corrupted the laf partition maybe !!
try :
1. fastboot continue
2. fastboot reboot
if it does not work contact LG

i have the same problem with the same variant . tried everything but the kitchen sink .
took it to LG Romania but because its an US device they could not help .

Moto G unresponsive

Looking for a quick fix here as I can't go to the service centre and get a replacement until at least Tuesday, and I need my phone working before then. I'm hoping someone else has had the same problem and can help me out.
My Moto G froze and became unresponsive (while I was refreshing my Gmail inbox) and it would not accept any input. I held down the power button and the power menu opened, however when I tried to power it off, it wouldn't accept my touch input. So obviously the next course of action was to hold down the power button for 10 seconds to force a reboot. The Motorola logo appeared and the phone vibrated... then it did nothing.
I tried this a few times and still nothing happened. I am able to boot into the bootloader, but apart from that, the phone goes only so far into the boot cycle before the screen goes black and does nothing.
Motorola's website suggests that if the Moto G becomes unresponsive, and the regular 10 second reset doesn't work, you should hold the power button for 120 seconds and keep it plugged in to a charger. This didn't work either. As of right now, my phone is just sitting here on my desk with what I would call a 'black screen of death.' Help would be appreciated.
I cannot boot into recovery, I cannot access anything. The phone is stock, unrooted, and running KitKat 4.4.2 without any modifications whatsoever. It's about 5 months old now, so it's still covered by warranty and I don't want to void it.

Can you boot into bootloader mode and use adb command from a pc? If yes, maybe you can try to flash a stock recovery img file via your pc to phone.

Would that require unlocking my boot loader though? I don't want to void my warranty, especially considering I did nothing to the phone and it's currently unresponsive.
I am not sure - but my guess is that bootloader needs to be unlocked to install custom recovery to "recover" & backup userdata before flashing the entire original stock firmware; that's usually the first step we see in all those modding guide in different forums online.

I suppose you can also contact motorola support to see if they can help you recover your data before getting the phone fixed or replaced under their warranty program.

[Q] Encryption broke my phone

Hi, I got Motorola Moto G, original system, no root. I just encrypted my phone, process most probably finished without problems - I stopped watching the phone on around 90%. Then it restarted, boot animation, "enter your password to decrypt the phone", I type it in, green robo shows for 1 second and then black screen (backlighted) :/ After couple hours nothing changes.
If I type wrong password, phone ofc doesn't accept it. Computer sees device, but I can't access it. When I turn off the phone by pressing POWER for long time, it just resets and goes back to asking for passwod again.
Please help me recover my data...
EDIT
before entering password PC says phone is off, after typing it, PC says it doesn't have drivers (it worked normally before encryption).
I can enter fast boot, but IDK what next. Recovery mode just ends with "NO COMMAND"
I see that probably all users who got this problem have Motorola Moto G too. Mostly people who use CM and tried to encrypt phone too.
I downloaded Android SDK, fastboot.exe tool sees my phone in this state. Not sure if it can be used to do something useful....
adb.exe doesn't see device
bump :crying:
So, I left the phone in black screen step over night. Battery ran out. I tried turning it on/off, entering fast boot mode, but nothing happened, then connected to USB. LED turned on for a while, screen too, showing battery with 0%. But now nothing again. Just black or off, not sure. Can't do literally anything, I tried pressing different keys for minutes and changing USB slot.
EDIT
nevermind, fixed battery problem, Moto G with no power needs normal charger or much longer time on USB

Dunno if this can help (and sorry for the grammar but i'm not english and i really suck at it), but for me it's normal to see "no command" on the recovery, to see the recovery commands you just need to:
(Token from Customer Help Motorola):
1. Go in fastboot mode.
2. Select the voice "Recovery".
3. Now the phone'll show motorola's logo and then the android bot with the exclamation mark.
So now, you have to press VOL UP for 10-15 seconds. while pressing it, press and release the POWER button.
U should now see the voices in the recovery.

If you can get the phone to be recognised try reflash firmware
Sent from my Moto G using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks for replies. Menu in recovery mode lets me wipe all data, so that's last thing I want to do, but I guess I will have too soon :/
About flashing firmware - from what I've read, encrypted data on phone is protected by password and some kind of encryption key/file. Reflhasing would cause permanent lose of that key and thus whole encrypted data.
The only solution I guess is copying that key on PC. Copying encrypted data if possible, and decrypting on PC using some tool, as Android is open source, so it shouldn't be a problem to extract it's decryption mechanism and run it on PC.
OR copying key to PC, reflashing phone, copying back key and praying this time system will start.
Well what's more important I working phone or a few apps??
If you need to get data off the phone maybe using a otg cable and using the file manager in recovery to copy it all over to the USB otg but as far as that I think your gunna have yo count your losses and learn not to encrypt your phone lol....

[Q] lg nexus 5 help needed

While on vacation my wife dropped her nexus 5 into a toilet in a drunkin stooper, All I'm trying to do is retrieve the photos for now, ill worry about trying to get the phone back to operational after I get some vacation pics off of it.. everything I try to do seems to end up not working or another roadblock.. ill just list step by step what happenned..
-phone dropped in water
-i remove the back cover to remove the battery and seen i need tools and its not easily removed so i left the phone in a bowl of rice for the night.. everything appeared dry on the inside and it wouldnt turn on.
-next day it did power on but the touchscreen was unresponsive, removed battery, reinstalled and a screen appeard that said android is starting and optimizinf app ** of**, would keep nearing the end and powering off on its own for hours.. manually powered off and left for another day in rice..
-plugged in and phone would turn on but would not load, the google sign comes on and gets stuck on those four circles just moving around forever..
-hold the volume down and power button to get in the options screen, try powering off and back on, restarting bootloader and etc to no avail. wiped cache and restarted. still same thing.
-when i try recovery it just goes to android with red exclamation mark.
since i got home.....
-when i connect the phone to computer the mtp? driver wouldnt install correctly
-came to this website...
-installed adb, fastboot, and the universal driver. adb doesnt see the device, fastboot does.

1st Gen Moto G - I can't get past the Fastboot menu

Hi folks.,
Daughter has a Moto G. It constantly powers on - goes to the "M" boot screen for a few moments then a sort-of black screen, although the screen is actually on - it is just displaying black pixels. It just stays there.
With a couple of long presses of the power button I can get it to turn off and then, if I'm quick, I can do the power/vol down combo to get into Fastboot menu.
HOWEVER - whatever option I choose Factory/Recovery whatever (other than the Barcodes - which shows the Barcodes) it just goes straight to the "M" screen for a few seconds and then the sort-of black screen again.
It's been a long time since I fiddled with Android stuff (I'm Windows Phone) so any help and guidance for an old idiot like me would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Same issue here
Hi, I'm having the same issue here.
Do you have an idea of what could have caused it? I mean, how did it start?
Do you ever get to see the battery charging icon when you plug it?
I thought it was a battery related issue at first, but guess it's not. Gonna try to install the firmware again to see if that helps.
I've noticed it shows the cmd getvar.all when I plug it to the laptop while on fastboot mode.
Does it say the fastboot reason?
Does your computer recognize it when you plug it?

Question Stuck in recovery mode PLEASE HELP

I thought this would be a good place to ask this.
A few minutes ago, I accidently pressed the volume up and down buttons for a long time on my zflip 3 and it booted into the recovery menu. Now this normally wouldn't be a problem.. if my power button wasn't dented in.
I refused to fix it due to the sheer cost of the fix and could turn my display off by double tapping. However, this means that I have no way to exit recovery mode. I tried using ADB on both my bac and pc (using usb 2.0, 3.0, and c on my pc and c/thunderbolt ports on mac).
My phone however would not connect of show up under devices, and I am suspecting it is because I have done something to the debugging settings. I let the battery run out and it would just boot back into the recovery interface once charged up. It even once went to a light blue screen that said something along the lines of how a custom os can cause major problems.
I am a noob at phone stuff and I really don't know what to do. I have a bunch of photos of my grandma who passed away last year and they aren't backed up to google cloud. I really need any help I can get. Thank you.
Hi, provided that you have already
- enabled adb debugging;
- installed adb.
Now you have to
1. enter fastboot mode;
2. in adb type
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
then, reinstall recovery if you want to.
