Just got my Mate 9 and I am liking it so far. I've used Nova and Go launcher in the past on other phones, however, I seem to like Huawei's own Home launcher. Simple and clean. However, is there a way I can apply icon packs to it? I want to change some icons, but can't seem to find a way to do that.
Any help or advice is appreciated.

I see where the icons are in the Theme manager, but those are just the pre-loaded icons. How do I apply icons packs that I've downloaded from the play store?

Didn't try anything from playstore,but if you download a theme you have to put it in HWthemes folder in internal storage.
Other option you can download online themes from the themes manager and apply the icons only.

How did you get to that? When I click on my Theme icon, all I get is Local theme. I do not see Featured, Top, etc like your screenshot.

Not sure maybe it's disabled in ur country.
Maybe you can try using different location in hicare or register a new account with another country.

I don't think so, probably copyright stuff in there. I do wonder, can you register a huawei Id account? Assuming you have USA firmware.
I also have a l29 but mine is based out of Germany I think.

Never was informed to register the phone.. something I was looking to do when i first got it, but did not see a place to register it.

I do not have that in my settings. Just Accounts, No Huawei ID nor HIcloud like you have. I am on the US version

You're welcome. It's not the perfect solution because if you use app drawer, you can't change icons in app drawer but at least you get a better looking Homescreen.

It's the homescreen icons that I wanted to change, and this worked exactly as I wanted. What icon packs have you tried/like?
I used "clix" for a while, because they loke a bit like the stock icons, but now i have a new theme where all icons i have on my homescreen are included except of the telegram icon, so i made it by myself and applied it with icon changer

Hello, i've downloaded the theme editor from samsung (Samsung_My_Theme_1.0.5b) but i can't change anything but the wallpaper and some icons. how do i change the color of the drop down list (when you slide down from the top). Do you need some other program?

Well, for a more stock Android look, I use an app called "Goodlock" which themes the quick settings list.

Well, that's the problem. You must be an employee of Samsung to have that program. Which means that without a custom rom, it is not possible.
PS: they are Korean
I recently read about the use of RRO theming for the s8, so I took some practice and made these.
I have 2 mods.
1. Hiding Carrier Labels System-Wide
This mod basically hides the carrier label (AT&T, Verizon, etc...) from the status bar on the lockscreen and in the notification center (bottom).
You can see in both attached photos there is no carrier in the top left status bar and bottom of notification center.

I'll see if I can add multilangusge support soon. So far It only supports English.
I downloaded both APK's and it doesn't show up on my S8. Am I doing something wrong or is it because I am on the latest update?

You have to reboot your phone. I had the same problem and that's all it took was for me to reboot my phone and then it worked fine.

Go to Settings -> Display->Font->it should be selected as Roboto and not oneplus slate font as ifont overrides default Roboto font with your custom font.

Yes at first I didn't realize what you were talking about but now I see that you're talking about the menu of the Play Store correct?
If you notice when you go into your Gmail or your calendar and pull up the menu it's the same way. The best explanation I can give you is either 1 these fonts are hardcoded and cannot be changed or 2 the menus of these apps are server-side. I've also taking a screenshot of me typing this and it too is in a normal font and not the one I have chosen. Look at the URL versus what I have typed.

I have received my oppo find 2x pro WOW it's amazing am just loading up my apps from play store

Also is there a theme system I can see the installed theme so presume we can add others have worked out I can change shape and sizes of my icons but it would be amazing if I could change themes

The theme store isn't supported on UK devices due to legal concerns, it's unclear whether this will change in the future, Oppo are very new to European markets so they're being as safe as possible in this regard

Yes, just download from the Chinese site, then install the .apk & it'll be English, you'll also have some updates for your factory apps
I had Swift Backup backup my icons from my old OP phone. I restored them and I'm also using Nove Launcher Prime. It's not seeing the icons. Is there a way to use them?
Why restore them? Why not reinstall the pack the way you did initially?
I don't know how you would "backup icons". You could backup the pack and restore it, and also choose the pack from Nova as you did before.
They're not available on Google Play and I'm essentially trying to move them from my OP9.
Nova won't let me search for them (Android sees them as installed but also won't let me select them). To get more themes, it forces me to the store.
OOS saw them and allowed me to change them easily. Seems like changing icons is something not easily done in general on a Pixel

Yes, used Swift. If I do a search in the system settings, I see the different packs as installed apps. However, I can't open them in a launcher, and they're not selectable in Nova's icon settings. I see either "system" theme or "get more" and it directs me to google play.

Ohhh wait, you mean the official OnePlus icons? Yeah, those won't work I think, these are baked into the system and won't work on other ROMs. But I think there are a few good looking OnePlus-like packs on Play.
