Is there a program that will allow me to open a wallpaper and use the eyedropper to show the hex of a certain color in the wallpaper. Would make trying to match font colors a heck of a lot easier.
Thanks

Can you sort icons by name in folders yet (ICS)?
I'm using MIUI GB right now and you can do that. I don't understand why they took that feature out :|
Yes you can sort folders by app name now but is it just me or does this feel like a serious downgrade from the last version?

Yes when u open a folder you can click the edit icon in the top left and change the behavior to default to sort manually.
Also, I seem to have lost the ability to resize Widgets?
~Sent from my Droid [R]
i didnt ment the sort of icons in the app folders. i mean on the desktop. if theres an option to let the icons be sort automaticalla on the desktop.
Why doesn't this show up in the playstore for my honeycomb flyer? Just curious.
Unfortunately absolutely horrible compared to the previous version. Lags horribly and is basically the gingerbread launcher. I uninstalled it almost immediately.
Seems much better for me on my One X. The previous version was horrible, I like this one but its faaaar from stable compare to others on the market. They should of have 2 versions though, one optimized for GB and one for ICS, because the lag I feel and slow down might be because its optimized for both, I rather have a version optimize for ICS.
Any possibility of a landscape option?

If you've used MIUI GB, you can theme different things of the UI through the Themes app.
The "Home screen" I am talking about themes the dock and the folders.

Nope, in this launcher, it only change the icon theme but not the selection color and page indicator for example. If you use Miui GB then you know.

yeah I know what your saying like in the ICS version from what I've seen the only way to change the page indicators from the normal square is 2 actually edit the apk -resign it etc. etc.
with GB I think they actually have the feature where you can just change that within the app.

They actually didn't remove that stuff from ICS MIUI it's just that a lot if the themes haven't been updated to be compatible with MIUI4

Anyway to get GoSMS to popup over the lockscreen that is included? When using just Milocker, the popup displays over the lockscreen. However when using the Milocker that is included with Mihome launcher, the popup is blocked. The screen lights up, just doesn't display the popup box. Thanks for the help.

Just got my Mate 9 and I am liking it so far. I've used Nova and Go launcher in the past on other phones, however, I seem to like Huawei's own Home launcher. Simple and clean. However, is there a way I can apply icon packs to it? I want to change some icons, but can't seem to find a way to do that.
Any help or advice is appreciated.

Didn't try anything from playstore, but if you download a theme you have to put it in HWthemes folder in internal storage.
Other option you can download online themes from the themes manager and apply the icons only.

It's the homescreen icons that I wanted to change, and this worked exactly as I wanted. What icon packs have you tried/like?
I used "clix" for a while, because they loke a bit like the stock icons, but now i have a new theme where all icons i have on my homescreen are included except of the telegram icon, so i made it by myself and applied it with icon changer
Hi all,
I was wondering if there was a way to change the plugin charging animation (while the phone is on)? Does anyone know where in the root directory it is? Are there premade animations in a thread that I have missed?
Just in case I havent explained myself clearly, the video in the OP of the forum link below shows what i'm talking about.

Animation for when you plug device in and when using wireless charging can be changed via Samsung theme. Custom made obviously, not anything that can be obtained from the theme store.

HI, thanks for the reply,
Sorry, if i'm missing something here, but what do you mean by "can be changed via Samsung theme" even though nothing can be obtained from the theme store? So where can I find custom animations (directory in phone and XDA thread?)?

Themes obtained through Samsung theme store do not modify any of those types of elements, you will only find custom themes do this. Of which you can find with a little searching here in xda and other sites. BoCaTRoM, Eladios, Venom, and many others have great themes.
Now to more directly answer your original question, if you have an animation in qmg format or all png images you want to use for charging animation then you can take a theme you like and add it to drawable folder inside lock.apk within theme container file. Yoblue theme here on xda has a similar effect you might like for charging animations.
O if you have a theme you're using and want to add this then send it to me and I can modify for you.

Yeah, the themes are nice, but I like my theme to be simpler than alot of them. The one I currently use is [minu] Baby Red from the theme store and I'm very happy with it. I literally just want to make the charging animation red instead of blue. How would I find the apk file to send if its from the theme store?
While I'm on the topic of themes, is there a way to make the icons that come with a theme become the icons of an icon pack that I use (both form theme store - I use the "pixel matte" theme with frames version)? Simply to save time when I test other themes.
Thanks heaps for your help

At one time you could extract themes via apk extractor but that is no longer possible. There is a tool that will allow you to use specific elements of a theme but that's only for rooted devices. If it is from theme store you can likely find that icon pack itself there but if not you'd have to find someone who can get the theme apk itself and extract app icons apk.
I wasn't able to find that theme online like many others but I'll look a few other places an see what I can do. Just to clarify are you are talking about battery icon at top right or the animation that comes up briefly when you first plug device in/set on wireless charger?
If it's the first then that's super easy and that overlay already exists. If it's not then I'll put together something you can install that might work for you.

I just checked the theme store to make sure they were there:
Theme: [MINU] Baby RedBlack
Icons: Pixel Matte w/ backgrounds (w/BG in some labels) - It's a paid one - but I'm sure you would know how to get round that
(having the icons that I use as part of the theme would be convenient for me too)
To clarify, I'm talking about the ripple/ shockwave that comes out of the bottom of the phone when I plug in. I wanted to make it red. Maybe a solid material red expanding semicircle could be cool? (dont know how much one can actually change this)
If you could put something together for me that would be awesome. . But no rush or stress if you dont have time, too much effort etc. we both know its something quite minor haha. Just thought it would be a cool touch to my red and black theme on my phone. Just attached a few screenshots of my theming so you can see why I think a red animation would be cool, also to help find shade of red.
Thanks for you help

Just download the apk you want, place it on your sdcard or internal storage. On your phone go to my files>sdcard or internal storage>tap the file and select install. It will say something like are you sure and you will take you to security>unknown sources> push that tab to the right and go on with the installation. When and if you want to uninstall go to menu>settings>apps>look for the apk you installed and then uninstall it.

Rooted method would be recompiling framework-res and push it back in system.
The colors.xml need to be changed.

eNubiX is really nice, thank you!
I think I should try the red one but I am now sick of restarting my phone. I do agree that you should have provided screenshots.
Thanks again for sharing them!
I think I know why no one wanted to put up the screenshots. These APKs will darken your notifications, but does not actually change them. They are still all the black background with hard-to-read dark grey writing and teal accents. I was really hoping for notifications with a black background with white writing and red highlights.
What the APKs did do was change my settings area, but everything does that. I'm attaching the 3 screenshots so everyone can see.
I hope we get a true way to change the background, text and accent color on our notifications some day. It seems so simple it should be part of stock Android.
