Model:ZC520TL this the get var all command from fastboot mode - Asus ZenFone 3 Guides, News, & Discussion

a dump of the var for reference i noticed boot is locked and not the same as others out there

The Zenfone 3 Max uses a Mediatek processor, which makes the chances of it getting any custom ROMs very slim.

I believe there is a xoom 2 forum, this is xoom 1. they might be better able to help you there
Thank razorseal, I understood that, but so far xda-dev is the best n only dev forum, n waiting for xoom2 section created.
Don't have a xoom 2 but will Vol up and power allow the tab to recover?
It looks to me that the bootloader is locked - search the forum for the adb commands to unlock (from fastboot) if that works try the flash again.
As I said I don't have a xoom 2 but this is the process required for xoom 1

Well I recommend you to ask Xoom Forums as they have been helping a lot of people out 24/7. But you can always send it back to Motorola, other people who got bricked just called up Motorola, said the truth and they will fix it for you but at a charge.
I do not have a xoom2, but i can say that ur xoom is not bricked because u can enter the fastboot.
So do not worrry
Did u tryed another file to be used in the rsd?
>/
Same problem, i got my brother`s xoom bricked... goddamn it
Never ending search
I've been searchingg for days... All over the internet, not even any solution to our problem...
I'll en up sending my tab to the Motorola assistance, didn't want to go without trying.
Search and download the fastboot file for your device and flash it...
Done that...

Do it manually. Follow the stickied guides in the general on how to unlock the bootloader
No need to use toolkits for a process so simple.

Firstly, you don't need to use a toolkit, and you really shouldn't. Why? Because they're unreliable and can cause major problems. Because they allow you to do things to your device without actually knowing what's going on, you're just pushing buttons without an actual knowledge of what is happening when that button is pressed. You're much better off doing it manually, this is after all one of the easiest devices in the world to unlock and root. Plus, doing it manually using fastboot will give you some vital knowledge and experience with fastboot, and that's something that is absolutely crucial for anyone who's modifying their device, becuase when the crap hits the fan in future, it's that experience and knowledge that'll get you out of trouble, not a toolkit. I have a detailed guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
It's very straight forward but if you have any problems or questions I'm more than happy to help.

Refurbished device with unlocked bootloader, safe ? help please

Hello,
I've just bought a refurbished device on amazon, but when i started it, it shows me the screen with "The bootloader is unlocked and software integrity cannot be guaranteed"

The warranty is gone, but it's ok.
I have relock the device with fastboot, the name of the rom seems legit.
My question : is there still any security risk ?
Thanks
Unless it was specifically advertised as unlocked and you specifically bought it for that reason, I'd reset the phone with an MSM tool or similar.
Maybe I'm just OCD. I factory reset every electronic device I buy before setting it up.

I can't find a copy of the device reset tool on the forums or the manufacturer website.
I would research the issue further on the following sites:

Having a device's bootloader locked simply means that device only will boot into / run Stock ROM: This has nothing to do with whether Android is safe or not.

thanks, yes i have relock the device myself.
But is it sure that it’s now using the original stock rom ? And not a hacked one ?
YES, because original Stock ROM is signed by manufacturer: the bootloader verifies this signature.
Thanks a lot.

Unlock bootloader question

I need to unlock the bootloader on my 9A so that I can flash a different ROM.
However, when I try I get a message saying - unsuccessful wait 168 days
Is this normal on first attempt, and any way around the 7 week delay.

Sorry for my typo - I meant 7 days (168 hours), not 7 weeks.
I guess from your response that this 7 day wait is normal then.
