Yeah, I am also gutted that you can no longer install 3rd party fonts (without root) I hate the choice Samsung give you and they force you to buy crap ones from their app store.

I've tride the Samsung fonts apk and downloads from play store.
They both come install fine but then come up as not compatible when I try to apply them in the fonts selection setting. Pretty bummed about the fonts issue right now.
I have installed my favorite font with ifont, I am rooted.

I'm not good with modding and i'd know if there is a way to change the official lockscreen app
with another one in the store.
I'd not install another app but simply change the system app with another one.
The app that i like is Hi Locker.

For the lock screen, yes you can. Search for Go Locker or any related app. For the dialer, if you only want call recording, search for Play Store also. I recommend the one from skvalex.

I have also a Hi Locker pro version on another my phone as well as for a dialer but
what i ask is if there is a way to change the sys app.

skvalex is the developer name of a call recorder app from the Play Store. The dialer can be replaced with Google Dialer. You can search for it. For the lock screen, I'm not so sure since Honor 8 lacks AOSP ROMs.

Hi, well i suppose i'm not clean when i write.
About the dialer... the sys dialer of the Honor 8, in china, have by default the option to recorder the calls.
In Europe this isn't possible because the option isn't present.
Well... there is a way to take the chinese dialer (with recorder option) and replace the european version?

Ooohhh. Now I understand. I'm skeptical that it will work. Because the system apps are odexed. But you can ask someone who owns the chinese variant of Honor 8 to provide you your desired apk.

U won't get this feature without decompiling framework . and without a 3rd party app it wont be possible

Hi guys, Netflix app doesnt work anymore on my Honor 8 from july. Every time i open the app i have this message: "This app is not compatible whit this device....."
My Honor IS NOT rooted and the bootloader is locked. I'm on B389 and the latest version of netflix.
I also called netflix service and they told me to install an older version of the app and actually it works but i want to use the most recent app!
B389 here and running the latest update for Netflix from the play store without issue.

Just give it sometime it should fix itself. I had a similar issue with a game and a Google Play Services update fixed.

So the OPPO apps such as contacts, file manager, game space etc... They aren't on the Google play store as they are OPPOs own apps.
Oh I'm with ya now bit odd there app store not installed by default then obviously those apps need updating as well

If you really want to update all of them to the lastest, there is a telegram group with members who upload all the updates from different oppo apps..

That's my thinking as well no updates when searched and I had previously just updated os out of the box only 2 apps showed updates and they are play store apps

Contact and sms is the native Google application, looking at the info.
Game space and file manager is part of the software and will update via the software updates eg color os updates.
