Now that I have Android 4.4.2 from the words coming from that developer on Google Play that states this new build has a stock option of disabling the camera shortcut but I can't find it...any ideas?

It's under security near the top of the list, but it doesn't seem to be disabling the camera shortcut on mine.
One way I found that partially disables it is to install another camera app that can be chosen as a default (e.g., Focal). Your phone would then require you to unlock the screen and choose a camera app if you access the shortcut.
I've been used this app from EHZ Studios for my S6 Edge. But i bought s7 edge now. I need this app. How can i find ? Any idea? Thanks.

I use hexlock its pretty good

If you're running xposed the module "FingerLock" works nicely.
MaxLock is the best.

Hi.
I'm looking for an app which allows me to choose some pictures from gallery and hide it, unlock should be by fingerprint.
Any ideas? Which one is the best?

The built-in Private Mode (Settings / Privacy and safety) should do this for you.

You can do this by Samsung´s "Private-Mode".
I think finger security is the only one if you're not rooted and obviously private mode to hide pictures and a few other things

Try this app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.getkeepsafe.applock
It's the most compact app within 2MB. Works flawlessly.

If we had proper development on our beloved S7 edge we could have App Lock which is a native Samsung app wich is build in and just has to be activated via CSC tweaks etc. after that we could App Lock with fingerprint. And wouldn't any third party app or xposed module for that.

But that needs root right
Sorry but I won't be rooting this beast at least for one and a half years. That's me though.

Proper applock is included in my rom "KryxxOS", but as others have said it is something that needs to be pushed to the system and have some csc modifications done.

I agree. Using it on my 7 edge
App Locker: Fingerprint & Pin works perfectly on S7.

Download this

Find Features.xml and open (system/csc), Paste this line and save. Restart Phone. Applock now in settings, privacy and safety.
<CscFeature_SmartManager_ConfigSubFeatures>roguepopup|autoclean|autorestart|networkpowersaving|applock|trafficmanager|notificationmanager|applicationpermission|</CscFeature_SmartManager_ConfigSubFeatures>
Much prefer to use the built in App Lock personally. Native always works best. Don't flash the file in the link, it is simply there to show you what I am talking about.

There's a core app in Android, called Live wallpapers.apk, which can be deactivated. Deactivating it doesn't seem to have any impact on live wallpapers function on my phone. It's the love wallpapers picker app that is needed for live wallpapers to function, and it can't be deactivated.
So, does anyone know what the Livewallpapers.apk is needed for? I'm planning to uninstall it (I'm rooted).
Wallpaper picker picks helps you to select wallpapers and change their settings if any
Livewallpaper.apk is used in setting that wallpaper to your screen and there after for the wallpaper functioning

But as I said, I can set live wallpapers and they work flawlessly, with Livewallpaper.apk uninstalled.

Well, none of the 20 live wallpapers I have installed has a problem yet.
After digging a little bit the apk, I saw that it has to do with the AOSP live wallpapers, not 3rd ones. Live wallpapers picker is the vital one for them to work.

It's the a badges setting for apps? Yeah I don't have any lockscreen notifications with message previews at all. I do get an SMS symbol on the lockscreen web receiving a message but nothing else.

I decided to try the beta on my personal Pixel and it's been good for the most part. I'd say very stable for daily use.
However I've noticed I can no longer stop apps from making a shortcut on my home page. So if I install 20 apps I'm forced to grab them and remove them.
Anyway to stop this or is this the way Google is going with O?

Why, the way I do it works fine, first thing I open after install (playstore) to stop automatic updates, then install my launcher, and delete the Google launcher, it's all good man
