If you're running xposed the module "FingerLock" works nicely.

Hi.
I'm looking for an app which allows me to choose some pictures from gallery and hide it, unlock should be by fingerprint.
Any ideas? Which one is the best?

The built-in Private Mode (Settings / Privacy and safety) should do this for you.

You can do this by Samsung´s "Private-Mode".
I think finger security is the only one if you're not rooted and obviously private mode to hide pictures and a few other things

It's the most compact app within 2MB. Works flawlessly.

If we had proper development on our beloved S7 edge we could have App Lock which is a native Samsung app wich is build in and just has to be activated via CSC tweaks etc. after that we could App Lock with fingerprint. And wouldn't any third party app or xposed module for that.

Proper applock is included in my rom "KryxxOS", but as others have said it is something that needs to be pushed to the system and have some csc modifications done.

App Locker: Fingerprint & Pin works perfectly on S7.

Much prefer to use the built in App Lock personally. Native always works best. Don't flash the file in the link, it is simply there to show you what I am talking about.

Hi all,
i know that it gives a thread about the Hidden Torch menu, so i thought i test a little bit for some others.
I tested a lot with the shortcut Maker and found a link to a Setting Menu where u can set 5 App Shortcuts direct to the lockscreen like in other FWs befor.
the string is under Settings:
com.android.settings/com.android.settings.lockscreenshortcut.LockScreen SchortcutSettings
In this Menu u can manage 5 Apps which u want on the bottom of the lockscreen. This functionwas given in other FWs before, so i thought someone will use it when he knows that it is given in the FW now
Isnt this already in the firmware.. it is already enenbled on tmo s4

Realy?
Didnt found it in the FW i use in the moment. I can only put the Apss one the second Screen one the left or right when ur on the lockscreen in wipe from the right to the left.

Ok this part of the Menu is missing in my FW DBT.
So i think the DBT is the problem that this menu point is missing, in the past it was missing to in other FWs for Galaxy S2 DBT versions.
i have it from day one in every firm i tried

Then is the question "why is this menu missing in the DBT XXUBMF8 SuperSlim?" I think not that it is missing cause an app was removed, cause thats are system Settings which are not handeled over an app.
And i heard that im not the only one where this menu is missing, its a little bit strange...
I have DBT too and mine is also missing, kinda annoying...
maybe because i have 9500 ?

U must get a app like QuickShortCutMaker
In this app u must search under Settings for this point:
com.android.settings
/com.android.settings.lockscreenshortcut.LockScreenSchortcutSettings
thats the menu you need.

This worked! I had these same problems with a number of DBM firmwares, this worked perfectly on first official 4.3 release.
Thank you very much.
@OP
I thought the shortcut options for the lockscreen (in the standard lockscreen settings menu) were varied depending on the type of unlock method you used. If you only unlock by swiping, you had more widget/shortcut options available, but if you had a tighter lockscreen security then you don't have so many options.
I use a pattern unlock and the options disappear for me because of my unlock method.
I'll try your guide and see if I can add shortcuts without changing my lockscreen security type.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: I tried the shortcut you posted, it does bring up that settings screen regardless of what type of lockscreen you're using, but with my pattern lockscreen it still doesn't show the shortcuts on there. When I set my lockscreen type to swipe, the app shortcuts appear on the lockscreen, and so does the menu option in the standard settings menu to select/change the apps, as per your shortcut to this screen.

This can be achieved with an app called tasker, When I am home it disables my lock and changes my phones settings. When I'm out of the house it re-enables the lock etc.
But tasker can do so much more than this as well, it is difficult to start with but definitely worth the time https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&hl=en_GB

A lot of people have been having trouble finding out how to enable download booster and until a developer makes a mod to enable the native settings in your settings this is the only wave I know of to be able to do so.
In order to do this you will need to use a third party launcher. In this example I use Nova Launcher - launchers like Apex should work as well (as well as most decent third party launchers).
1. Go to home screen.
2. Hold down your finger on the screen till menu pops up.
3. Click on Shortcuts.
4. Click on Activities.
5. Scroll down to "Settings" and click on it which will open up a long list of things.
6. Scroll through the list till you find Download Booster. Click on it.
7. Now you will have a shortcut on your home screen that will take you to the download booster settings screen.
8. Enable download booster.
9. Enjoy
P.S. Wasn't 100% what forum to put this under as it's obviously not "development" nor did I think it was general or Q/A so I thought here was the most fitting (as it is kinda an "app" I guess?) - mods feel free to move to this to the appropriate forum if need be.

Also like the S5 from Sprint its there but thats all it is until someone can get it working. When its working it will show both download speeds and show the icon as bright not grey. Unless its working for someone else i just know its not for me same issue with s5 until someone modded it.
I understand what this does, but what is the benefits of enabling this? Does this interfere with Wifi calling?

Apple user here considering switching over to the Samsung s5. When I had an s4 I remember thinking that multi window was cool but it didn't really work like I wanted until I rooted and installed xpose framework.
If I by another I want to stay stock- is there a list of what apps work with the stock multi window feature? Typically I like to have the directv app and maybe waze or maps at the same time.
I dont have experience with the s4 but as far as the s5 it is not limited to what apps you can use not rooted

Now you can lock your mobile apps using your fingerprint.
• No Peaking in recent apps
• Fully optimized
• No battery Drain
Note :
• you must register your fingerprint in your device
[Settings]> [Security]> [Nexus Imprint]
• Turn On Accessibility Service , this app will not work without enabling it.
[Settings]>[Accessibility]> turn on > [App Locker : Service]
• Enable Device Admin to prevent unauthorized uninstall.
[Settings]> [Security]> [Device Administrators]> turn on > [App Locker]

Everytime I receive a notification (Snapchat, WhatsApp, etc), the app is showing the lockscreen even without clicking on it.. Can you fix it? (Android N Beta - Nexus 5X).
Great app that I've just bought. Just a couple of suggestion.
A screen with a fake error instead of a screen asking for a fingerprint.
And a way to disable rapidly the service.
Guys please check the update , its awesome
This app is amazing, I downloaded the free version, original worked great, but with the addition of the crash screen is it supposed to recognize fingerprint input while the crash screen is up? It doesnt seem to let me do anything when the app crash is showing, but if I turn the crash screen it works as expected. As soon as i figure out if it's just me I'll be buying the premium version.
